So I’m about to get real emotional here. I’ve been contemplating even making this comment since y’all posted this. But I just wanna let y’all know how much I appreciate you guys for making me smile. I need it lately. Milo, first off, Happy Birthday again ✨🖤 As soon as I saw you starting to cry, I balled. My fiancé is away and it’s been a long 10 months. Just know it was unjustly. He left when our son had turned 9 months old and now he’s 19 months going on 20 months on the 6th. It’s been such a long, gut wrenching experience. Anxiety and heart break after heart break with each month that passes because absolutely nothing has gone how we expected it to. We thought he’d be home by now.. we were so excited cos he said at most he’d be home for my Birthday which was June 8th. I finally dressed up, felt beautiful and pushed myself enough to make some plans and they fell through. My family kept texting me asking when I was gonna head over to my sisters so everyone could sing and I could open gifts, but I told them I couldn’t do it. I had the absolute worst birthday thus far. I just turned 27. I finally have a beautiful child which I didn’t even think I could conceive, I finally met the man of my dreams, a real man.. and the system is just so messed up that they couldn’t see a real man even when he was standing right in front of their eyes. They left me practically a single first time Mama. He made being first time parents seem so easy cos he’s simply just that amazing and made sure things ran smoothly for me.. We both are in recovery. Have been for almost 3 years now. We met actually 2 and a half years ago 🙌🏼 so we were both in a great place mentally and it all just worked out so incredible. But my point in that, is the justice system doesn’t care about how “you’re” doing NOW. They saw his past and stripped him of his present. Not only did I get everything I wanted, he did too.. he didn’t think he could have children himself (insane I know) then he had to leave his first and only child. Again, this road has been so messed up. My depression has been on a whole other level. Right when I don’t think it can get worse, it does. Y’all are so blessed to be physically be together. To be able to celebrate the small and the huge milestones. You mentioned Hazel is going through a lot with her health and yet she pulled that off, and that’s how my baby would’ve made it for me.. I’ve now been dealing with physical health issues. Most likely from stress. So I’m sorry to hear you went through that surgery Hazel and now on top of that, you are not feeling well and haven’t been for a little while now.. I feel you. I will keep you in my prayers. I just want you guys to soak in every single day together. Life shows up and it’s unfair. I am just so happy when I watch y’all together. It helps me look forward to mine and my little families beautiful future TOGETHER and it also keeps me out of my head for a little while.
