We will be on the horizon very soon and as I was watching horizon videos this one popped up. It was so wonderful and also a little sad hearing Sean. I just loved his energy and miss him dearly.
We have been on 9 Carnival Cruises and the Horizon was our by far most FAVORITE ship. I agree with all your points for sure and I really didnt find the elevators and issues once you got the hang of them. Once again fantastic work and great review.
February 2021 can't get here fast enough! I have been on 8 or 9 Carnival cruises and enjoyed them all.(Even my Katrina cruise that left from New Orleans but diverted back to Galveston to land at the end) Never seen or even heard of rough and rowdy. Good times! Thanks for a couple of "inside scoops".
Loved this ship. I have been on 7 Carnival cruise ships and the Horizon is the best! My daughter and I cruised in March of this year and had a balcony cabin on deck 7 we were part of the premiere casino group. The cabin was fantastic, but we noticed the Havana Cabana cabins and said we definitely wanted to try them with the private pool area next time. When we returned from our cruise I showed my husband all our photos and told him about the Havana Cabana walk out cabins to the private area we booked for our 25th anniversary next May! I am so excited. I loved all of your videos of this cruise as well as the other ships you have been on. Thank you for all the great information.
Sailed with Carnival 3 times and contrary to the poor reviews of others I think theyre a great cruise line. There is fun at every turn they offer great food choices and entertainment galore. I sail on the horizon for the first time in 35 days! Thanks for your review and for pointing out the deck 5 eating area were helpful I shall check it out.

glad you enjoyed the horizon, i have done 13 carnival cruises, some music chartered others regular, i love this ship i was on it December 2019 for New Years my first New years cruise, enjoyed it also. Yes carnival is always fun I am glad you decided to cruise on carnival and not listen to what others say. I have done NCL, Holland, and Royal, but i like carnival the best. Fun and relaxing all the time yes 90 percent fun participation. Happy NEwYear, can't wait until cruising starts back, Mardigras, Celebration and Horizon again and Sunrise, hopefully I will be able to do my Journey cruise, it was cancelled due to pandemic. Sailing on the Horizon Dec 2020 - we were on the inaugural sailing of the Panorama - loved it so should love this one as well. We figured out how to make the elevators work to our advantage - push push push..............LOLOL

We are booked on Horizon March 1-8th. This will be our second Carnival cruise and we are hoping it serves as a redemption to our first cruise with them on the Destiny which was our first cruise all together 10 years ago and left a bad taste in our mouths. We are hoping now that we have cruise life under our belts we can see the good in Carnival as we are also booked on the Madrid Gras in 2021. We didn’t see fights or anything like that either, We just were taking back at buffet time the people pushing into your station without waiting turn (This is normal on all cruise lines now we know and join in)And because its a budget cruise line there are more children running around unsupervised but we find this on Norwegian line as well since Alcohol is free. So being versed in cruise life we will embark with a more opened and relaxed mindset. I do cruising for the food so this review was exactly what I wanted to hear. Looking forward to our cruise.

My family and extended family of 9 people from 12 to 77 years old just gave my daughter a graduation gift on the horizon last week. It was an 8 day cruise and even my old parents and old in laws had a great time..I agree with everything yall said except I hated the elevators. Take the stairs its faster..5 stars. Our best cruise ever..my 18 year old daughter literally cant get outta bed a week later..loved it.

I'm considering taking my wife on the Horizon next January to celebrate my 57th birthday. Are there fun things for couples without kids to do? And did you think the Havana area was worth the extra $? Really tempted by this ship, we've had the Guy's Burger Joint, Blue Iguana and Mongolian Wok on other Carnival ships and loved them. (although the wok had very long lines most of the time). I have a Havana Cabana booked on the Horizon Oct 17, 2020 to Aruba Bonaire and Curacao. I usually sail on the Carnival Pride and my only complaint is how I can never get a seat on the Serenity Deck. I'm hoping the Havana Cabana allows me a seat, pool, and hot tub experience without the crowd.
Thanks for the review. I really love the privacy of a balcony and spend a decent amount of time there. It looks like you give up that privacy in a Havana suite. Is that true? Hoping to fit in an extra cruise before our 2020 MSC Seaside YC trip.
Thanks so much for watching! To answer your question, there is not a lot of privacy on the Havana Cabana balcony. You do have a privacy divider towards the glass door but the rest of the space is open. This is only the case with the Cabana cabins. The other Havana cabins, on higher decks, have regular balconies (and the aft balconies are huge). Awesome about your Seaside cruise as well. Have a great time!!

Both excellent ships. It all depends on what you like to do. Horizon and Symphony both have great food and drinks. Symphony has a dive theater and Broadway shows, Horizon has the Havana and an Imax theater. There's just so much to do that neither are a bad choice. It really all boils down to what do you like to do on vacation.
20:00 mark. I had a horrible time on Carnival Cruise b/ of the drunk passengers. I watched a guy for hour going from bewilder to furious b/ his room key was not working. He did not relies that the door was not his room but the elevator door. I been on other Carn cruises where I had a blast.
That's the one thing I don't agree with. The Havana experience should remain exclusive and not be opened to the public at all. You can't get into the Haven after a certain time. You pay for that level of exclusivity.
I LOVE Carnival. Never had any bad experiences on a Carnival ship. The crew is the best. They are ,by far,the friendliest and most accommodating of any cruise line out there. So,keep the negative rumors and comments coming, that way the ship stays less crowded and the prices stay amazingly low. Thanks naysayers, it all works out for me and the rest of the Carnival fan club members who know the truth.😊
Most reviews are 4 years ago. Came back from this ship 2 weeks ago. It is filthy. The food disgusting. Staff rude even managers. Their catch phrase "we are not slaves" how rude. When did a slave ever get paid? Terrible! Please do not waste your money or time
