Today, Emma-Jo demonstrates one of her favourite techniques as she makes this lovely three-dimensional brooch using Sizzix Surfacez Clear Shrink Plastic.
Using the Lavinia Tall Leaf Stencil Mask as a template for the shrink plastic, she decorates the shape with Pan Pastels, Stickles, and Fab foil, before applying heat to reduce the size and create the beautiful 3-D shape.

Thank you for the extended tutorial on the shrink plastic process. I don't know this process yet all your works are beautiful. From something so pale to something so vibrant once shrunk was fascinating to me. Love the brooch. You are a great teacher.

Emma Jo, the things that you create are always so fabulous! Two questions: is the Fab Foil a "Lavinia stamps" product, and where can I find the glue with the scary title? I'm in the States.
Hi Beverly - Thank you for your questions! The Fab foils are made a by WoW! Embossing Powders. While not Lavinia Stamps branded products, you can still find both the products - the Wow! Fab Foils and Pebeo Mixtion Relief - on the Lavinia Stamps Website. I will pop the links below. I hope this helps. 😊Emma-Jo from Lavinia Stamps🧚♀️

This is lovely but is it durable enough to give as a present? A great tutorial 😊
Yes, definitely! We have used these as name badges for events. Thank you for watching Shelley. 😊Emma-Jo from Lavinia Stamps🧚♀️
Fabulous Jo! Question, could you please give me the name of the glue you used for the turquoise foil? I couldn’t quite understand what you were saying. And am I correct that the glue has some dimension to it rather than being flat as with the Zig glue? Final question, I promise! Since I don’t have pan pastels other that white and yellow, could I use my white in the center as you showed and then use some Clean Color greens around the edges? Thank you, thank you and thank you for taking the time to do your inspiring videos and for answering our questions.
Hi Lovely, Thank you ! I'm so pleased you enjoyed the video and thank you for your questions too - Your right the glue is a raised glue and is called Pebeo Mixtion Relief. You can find it on the Lavinia Stamps Website. I will pop the link below. If you have Yellow and White Pan Pastels - I would use white in the centre and then use yellow above and below and then add a green to the edges as you suggested. Here are your options! You can use Kuretake Clean Colour Real Brush Pens on your shrink plastic however it won't be as opaque. You could also use diluted Posca Pens to colour or Acrylic Sprays. For edges you could apply it with a brush. Remember to colour it and then remove the excess leaving it like a stain. This will stop your colours getting muddy when shrinking. I hope this helps. 😊Emma-Jo from Lavinia Stamps🧚♀️
