    Brilliant. I've been doing my homework on the whole air compressor tool thing. That little compressor is coming in at just over 100 pounds at the moment. I'd like something bigger, with a view to moving on to some spray painting, but I don't really have the space for a monster unit, and I'm not up for a ding dong with the neighbours on noise levels. I do have cordless nail guns - both 18 and 16 gauge - but for small projects they are a bit cumbersome. Like the look of the Makita. Thanks for sharing.

    Fantastic video. I'm going to pull the trigger on this instead of a cheap one. Got the same compressor coming too. Thank you

    I have the very same brad gun and I LOVE it!!! A couple of observations- you frequently use the terms "brads" and "staples" interchangeably. Secondly, Makita specifically warns against using the hook to hang it from your belt or trousers due to the danger of accidentally bradding yourself in your leg. Otherwise, nice video!

    Looked at one of these but bought a Maestro SE30-08 which is ideal for the cabinet joinery I do. Can't lug a compressor around so it had to be electric and corded. If I wanted an air brad nailer I'd look at the Makita though.

    Thank you for this informative video, I am new to this stuff altogether. I bought this nailer from one shop, as it shows in the video there is no hooking nuzzle, or anything here. I bought a Metabo compressor in another shop and a set of hose and nuzzles in another shop. The Makita nailer does not fit into the hose I have. The nailer has a longer nose. I see a hose in the description but as I live in Norway, I cannot buy it in the UK. Is there any specific code for the right hose for this nailer that I find it here?

    hi nice review im after a polyurothane air line but i can only get one with the euro fittings which is ok as i have a hyundai compressor as well as the makita nailer but can only get 3/8"pipe would that be ok as i know nowt about hoses and connectors 🤔🤔👍

  • @scootyman2974
    @scootyman2974 ปีที่แล้ว

    In your opinion, do you think this would be any good for cladding an outbuilding/shed with 22mm boards onto 4x2’s? I can’t decide if it’s big enough for the job and was surprised how it flew through that MDF and hardwood.

    • @JBTV
      @JBTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it'll be ideal, get yourself some 50mm brads and fire away! Definitely powerful enough

  • @KavanaghGTR

    Good review thanks. Couple of questions, would it be ok for melamine faced chipboard, and what pressure were you using?

    • @JBTV
      @JBTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'd need to play around with the pressure on the nailer, but it would be fine on melamine chipboard, would leave a hole in the melamine obviously, so not a good idea if you want to keep it clean.

    Your compressor is 7bar and the gun should be running on 8 bar. I just wondered if there was any problems with that?

    Thank you for the review. I am a novice with woodworking I have considered getting this nailer. One question, is the nailer really that quiet? In the video, it sounds like a faint 'click' when engaged.

    • @1petrofski
      @1petrofski ปีที่แล้ว

      I have this one and the 16 gauge. Was wondering why it's so quiet in the video as well. Mine is a lot louder and would recommend ear protection if doing a lot of nailing

    Hi Justin I found your videos as I had bought the same compressor and Brad nailer and watched your videos to help with the set up as never used a compressor before in my curtain and soft furnishing workshop. I bought a 1/4 pipe and connected it but while using the nailer it was losing a lot of air near the back of the nailer, you did say you would leave a link for the pipe that you said fits perfect but can’t see it, I’m thinking the pipe I have must not be the best fit those the air from the back of the nailer where the connector is. Thanks in advance.
