Dr Mercola says that titanium implant can create a 'battery' if there is other metal in the mouth (th-cam.com/video/Q02mLcdBtGI/w-d-xo.html). He recommends zirconia. I'm so sorry that you are having issues. Blessings and prayers that you will find a solution.

      same story with you!
it seems there is a strong link between titanium dental implants (allergy or metal toxicity) and autoimmune disease/neuroendocrine start.
Metal toxins are closely associated with the neuroendocrine system, or itching or urticaria.

My Dr insists the persistent infection with my titanium implant (I have just one ) is not due to allergies to the Titanium, but I beg to differ. It’s been 6 yrs. it was gradual from bad to worse. Now I have a massive infection that has affected the lymphatic system. Throbbing inflammation in lower cheek to the lower ear to the neck. Im applying warm compress and then will use my Asian cupping thing to stimulate blood flow. I am considering the Zirconia.

I suggest that partnering with Chinese dental and surgical robotic researchers might be the most sensible way to get this into widespread use. Dental reconstruction is need by people who have had traumatic damage to their jaws from combat explosions such as IEDs in terror stricken regions. It is also needed by radiation patients who have had radiation treatments that has caused teeth to embrittle and disintegrate.
It would make sense for this area of treatment to become a world project through #SDG3 and it would become affordable to M4A programs if it were part of a FAIR TRADE in medical and dental technologies as an advancement in trade justice.

The zirconia two piece would break but I wonder if clenchers were breaking the one piece zirconia. Also I learned the top piece that sticks out if it moves, the implant will fail so the zirconia has that. As a clenched that worries me too. @@naimaiherb-ss8op i had zirconia implant a year and a half ago for my molar. I am pleased with it. Carbon fiber is the material they make for the rod to connect the new tooth to the implant. I forget everything about my researches that I did before the implant. You need to do research. Find a good dentist that has experience with at least 30 zirconia implants. I went to holistic dentist.
I used pearl noble zirconia. No Carbon fiber. No titanium whatsoever in my mouth. Be sure to have nightguard made so you can wear every night so that you do not clench your zirconia tooth. is it true that crowns on implants must be placed in some little infraocclusion because natural teeth are connected with periodontal ligament to the bone and are little mobile even in vertical dimension unlike the implant that is "cemented" in the bone and makes direct pressure on it .... well i know its true, if implant-teeth are in same line with natural teeth, than all the bite pressure will be on the implants, even if there is only one of them, so the logic says they must be under the bite-line. What happens when the opposite teeth will reach the bite line ... you know better than everyone ;) .... other logic says that orthodontists use pressure to the bone to be absorbed .... so theory says that the pressure made by dental implant normally goes to continual damage to the bone (i found some info that 1mm per year is a normal bone lost ??!!?? ) ..... well with dental bridges the only damage is 1.5 mm of local teeth that will be instantly covered with crowns , so the teeth will be protected for the next 10, 20 even 30 years and the bite pressure will be normal dental pressure that will stimulate the bone not absorb it. Have a nice day

Hi, I would need your advice on implant types.
I am considering reverting the damage caused by having my wisdom teeth removed and replace them with implants to prevent bone loss, sinuses problems, face deformity, restore my breathing to normal and have the same good eating functionality.
What is the best implant material for this area which involves a strong mastication power?
Short story - I just had my fully erupted healthy upper wisdom teeth removed to
make space to lift both my upper 1st molars as they started dropping due
to missing first molars below. Now I am left with 1cm gap on each side
which prevents me from eating, has affected my sinuses, give me
headaches , constant ear pressure, breathing problems and made the
adjacent teeth to move. On top of this I have a gap left in my cheek due
to lack of skin support. I had healthy teeth apart from the missing
ones and now I am on a journey that left me with more problems than I
    had.

Hi, I was wondering if zirconium implant would be a better alternative for patient with allergy to titanium. As I understand zirconium is a transitional metal in the periodic table. There is still insufficient data to justify the survival rate of the implant. And should it fail the removal process is slightly more invasive than compared to removal of titanium implant, as it is hardly possible to reverse torque, am I right?

    • @Drsandamoldovan
      @Drsandamoldovan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

The implants are made out of zirconia, which is zirconium oxide, which is a ceramic, not a metal.
With Nobel pearl and Zeramex there are 10 years survival rates there are just as good as titanium. It is not difficult to remove either implant with the right tools. In my opinion, the time is right to get a two piece, screw retained zirconia implant.

Good to know. Doctor's don't know shit, though, so I'd say discuss it with a holistic or integrative dentist or perhaps a functional medicine doctor

It's ceramic, definitely breakable. Zirconium is the metal, which is much harder to break.

@@Drsandamoldovan I believe what you said. One question I would like to ask is how well do the zirconium and the titanium work for the fixed on 4 implants hybrid lower denture? For some reason my prosthodontist did not say a word about titanium, but pushed the zirconium. He did at least tell me that there are “some made of ceramic material, but they aren’t as strong...” What would be his incentive for selling me the zirconium? Is it just money? I’m going to pay between $35,000 - $40,000 including the oral surgeon.

I just looked up how long do zirconia dental implants last on Google and the top answers are 2-3 years success rates, which is scary considering I'm having this option open to me next year after implant surgery this January to remove my metal implant and have a bone graft done, so now I'm confused. I thought the white implant was better, but it won't be if it only lasts 3 years max!
