Welcome to Zentangle Project Pack No. 20!
Tangle along with Rick as he and Maria guide you through the seventh lesson in this series. Feel free to watch this video through first before going back and doing it yourself.
In Project Pack No.19, we studied the concept of Zentomology, the system of categorizing the various characteristics of tangles and their relationships with other tangles within the study and practice of the Zentangle Method. In this very playful approach, we learned about and explored tangle genuses, which are categories of tangles with common characteristics. In Project Pack No. 20 we will take a deep dive into the tangle genus of blossoming tangles. Join us on yet another tangled journey, as we create beautiful compositions with carefully curated tools featuring these graceful, exciting tangles.

I never thought I would ever be able to draw this aura knot but with your guidance it came fluently. Thanks a lot for the very clear explanations ❤

Love these! I have to tell you I used to do these as child and got in trouble for doodling in class. They relaxed me then and now. Thanks so much for sharing these🥰

Rick/maria im still very scared of trying zentangle. I have mental health issues and thought it would be a good idea for me to try. I can't even draw a straight line! If anyone reading this could give me some advice PLEASE LET ME KNOW ❤️❤️

Know that you are beginning. "No Mistakes" is a hard phrase to agree with and it's the most important. We all are learning and becoming what we want to be. After beginning with just a pen (no need to pressure yourself for perfection or beauty... or shading), set your tile aside for about a week, then look at it again to focus on the wonder you have created. No judgement. Just notice. Then add to it or start a new tile. Do it your way. This is coming from someone with mental health issues of her own. ❤

The anxiety of BEGINNING will disappear once you have put the first strokes on the paper and get lost in the process...I was like you...I was afraid to start, but now I Tangle almost every day.❤

Dear Sheila, we are all beginners - in one way or the other. And the lines don´t have to be straight - who says the should? Only our ideas that we have to control life stops us from creating - and following the flow. Just start like a child starts walking. Experience Zentangle and life in a new way.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot get even close to what Rick is showing. This kinda goes for all the lessons I try to learn from Rick. Not sure why this is so. It is hilarious actually. I need to post a "Who did it best?" somewhere to show the side by side. LOL. It is laughable how far apart we are on this particular lesson. Still fun, but so laughable. I realize we are not supposed to match the teachers exactly.

This demonstration is frustrating and maddening. There are too many close-ups and not enough distance shots. I want to see the whole design AFTER close-up strokes are shown.I want to see the whole star image.
