Hello ! First of all, congrats for the astonishing work done, really great job!
But, I don't know if I am the first to tell you, but at 41'42", when you say "we were lucky to find " original " periscopes for the Tiger."..Well, the one we see on the video is marked APX L794B, which is Atelier de construction de PuteauX (APX), a town in the suburbs of Paris ( France). The model L794B was used mainly for the french tank AMX13.
Maybe he just took the wrong periscope...😊
Thanks anyway for saving those great vehicles !

Senza dubbio il miglior carro armato della seconda guerra mondiale seguito dal Tiger 2 , se fosse entrato in linea di combattimento all’inizio del 1942 e in maggior numero, poi anche il Tiger 2 , la seconda guerra mondiale avrebbe avuto un’altro esito, però con i se e con i ma si sono perse le guerre quindi accettiamo lo “status quo”. 14:00- incorrect, the electrodes were the same size as today. Each weld took several passes. Forced labor late in the war tried to place electrodes in the groove, then weld over it. If they were cought doing this, they were shot for sabotage.

What a fantastic video and what a fantastic project ! SO well done down to the most minute of detail. And the superbe craftsmanship is breathtaking. Having had this interest over the past 20 years and done some research on my own, as well as followed the "gurus" on Tigers (Jentz, Doyle and Byrden) I cannot help but to wonder about the base colour ? It looks VERY brown and not Dark Yellow /Dunkelgelb) ? Did you have anybody consulting on this issue ? Wishing you all the best for the next step and again congratulations on a job WELL DONE : )

They bought most of the original parts from the Polish restoration team. These were collected and fitted one to the other for years. Both Jagdpanter and Tiger were taken from owners. The fcuking gives said "you can sell it to our friends, we take the money you don't go to jail" All paperwork and legal issues were 120% covered. But hey, your govs are a fcucking scumbags! Next thing was the already restored Hetzer. They were not able to take it due to high weight. Police said best would be chopping the thing into pieces with plasma cutter(they did not said cut it with plasma cutter they are too fcuking duimb for such extraordinary words and technologies. Wanted to cut it on spot with angle grinders (what world has done to get cursed with such idiots, and these were officers!) and drag to a "museum"

Impressive work you have done to rebuild this engin from scratch. Nevertheless, we should keep in mind that it is a killing machine, built to serve an despictable ideology.

I watch a lot of Tank rebullds and Aus-Armor is the best quality, good music, great narrative. No other tank rebuild show can compete. I also appreciate the work of the filmer - he narrates well, with great selection of music and good film of the project. This Tiger is a massive credit to your museum and for what it once represented during WWII, even if we consider it belonged to a formidable enemy - its uncovered story does indeed conjure up emotions knowing that its radio operator was killed, very sad but you wonder what impact it may have inflicted on the Allies before its demise
Extraordinary work done by your team, i have nothing but admiration for them and their detailed work, its an honour to watch and these videos help to create an everlasting visual document to its ongoing history, your team effort and the work done on her deserve much pride, amazing efforts
You mentioned that level of detail near the beginning, the German engineering and efficiency, i guess what with the eventual forced labour, the detail began to fade on where items were located, we cannot forget all those that were forced to work in such hard conditions being threatened with their lives and those that did perish, its near impossible to fathom the numbers involved from the man power right back to those mining the raw materials that drove the mighty German war machine

    .
Always lovely to see the craftsmanship, pride in the work, ATD in the repairs, no matter how large or small.
The respect & commitment to retaining everything & anything Possible, for the history in every piece.
I had two repair careers, in far smaller items, and watching you all go at it the way you do has my deepest respect.
The projects with the deepest history are always the most rewarding & humbling, i can only imagine what you all feel as you find all those bits of history, battle damage & hints of prior hands during the work.
