There's something i sort of rely on to make sure my timing doesnt have to be uber perfect. on each landing of each jump, try to be turned 45 degrees and be on the actual peak of the arc of your curve, so you can land/jump while side strafing without losing much (if any) speed, even if you're a frame or two off. This makes it unnecessary to keep going back to using forward walk (w) on the ground and letting go of forward in the air, since missing the timing of that sequence will slow you down even if you don't otherwise mess up the motions. I just mostly avoid forward walk completely once I'm weaving and hopping. It takes a bit more mouse movement for any given sensitivity, but the lateral movement is bigger and you're even harder to hit when being attacked. Unless whipping your view around makes it hard for you to make careful shots, there's really no need to mechanically press forward and move through the map with direct forward walking, unless you have a reason to stop hopping and spend some time on the ground, but also want to push towards where you're looking and its not feasable to strafe swim in the moment.The extra big curves also make your viewport scan a wider area over the course of each curve, so you see more of the field as you move around, provided your optic nerve can keep up. :D People tell me sometimes it makes them dizzy to watch me play though, and it definitely takes a lot of focus.

These guys can finish a map without stop or losing speed, doing cj, sbj , bhops, lj, everything without missing a jump. They could be using some bhop script or something. I’m not a kz guy so I couldn’t tell you. I’ll ask some of my kz friends but I think you just have to practice a ton.

Found this on esea forums: While netgraph shows 100.5 if you set fps_max to 100.0, cl_showfps will display 100, and benchmarking software (at least for me) will show 100 as well. If you set fps_max to 99.5, netgraph shows 100.0, but cl_showfps displays 99, as does benchmarking software.

Fair enough. It’s more of a basic intro tutorial for people who have no idea how to bhop. Definitely not for kz players that already know the basics. I was constantly getting asked to make a video on how I do it and especially the B window jump so I wanted to try to help my viewers.
It’s all about working the recoil. Sometimes flick ups are needed and other times it’s just about pulling down the crosshair. Tough to explain but you need to manipulate the bullets to go where you want and not just point and click. Mabye I’ll try to make an aim tutorial video next 👍

Uncapping fps is good for gstrafe but for proper bhop movement and aiming you should really play at 100fps.

You can install amx mod locally and use the default teleportation plugin that comes with it.

Much easier when fps_max is at 99.5 because of the engine the game is running on. The engine bugs out because the fps exceeds 100 fps (100.5).
