I'm one who finds the EasyFlow 9000 almost too smooth, I prefer a bit of feedback. Plus it smears sometimes for me. I will be trying the Softline soon to see if it hits my sweet spot. Interesting that two years later it is still very difficult to find in the US.
I received one in black this morning, and I must say I'm a little disappointed with it. I love how it writes and looks, but the ink is forever pooling on the nib and ends up transferring to the paper unless I take care to routinely wipe it down (Which is its own issue, as it wastes a lot of ink). It's also super smudgy, even after over a minute of drying time.
I'm glad I didn't pick up a 10-pack (I write a lot and just wanted to make sure I liked it first), and will have to try my luck with their standard refills in future.
Great video, perfect breakdown on the ink.
How about having a look at the Schmidt P950? It looks to be similar to the Space Pen pressurised refill. I like the reliability and leak-proof properties of pressurised refills and the write anywhere properties, exactly what I need for everyday work and life.
Will do
@@unsharpen Awesome, thanks. I have ordered some but they have not arrived yet. Your channel has got me spending WAY too much time and money on pens!
@@unsharpen Well I have been using the P950 and unfortunately find them rubbish. The first 3 refills began leaking ink from the tip after a very short time resulting in a lot of oily ink mess everywhere when I start writing due to a big blob of ink on the tip. The 4th one hasn't done this so far but after only a few weeks of little use feels like it has almost run out.
nice overview of the refill, btw what staedtler ball pen were u using for the video ?
Excellent detail.
How would you compare it to schneider 755 M oder XB?
The xb is a lot smoother and wider. This is more of a general use ballpoint
Hi man, what is the best refill for the zebra f-701/f-xmd?
Fisher space pen refill fits
Excellent close ups of the lines. Because of you I’ve been using Schmidt P900M in blue and it’s the best refill for my job! Thanks Sal!
Great to hear!
I’m thinking this might be an answer to the easy flow 9000 not being available in fine. Sometimes it seems to put out too much ink and gets a bit globby at times. Now I just have to find some.
Good luck! richardlgreenwald might have some
What type of pen is that?
Staedtler concrete
Doesn't look as smooth as even a bog standard inkjoy though.
This P900 Softline is only in Broad size? I can’t find it in other sizes M, F
Hi, do you have any idea if Schneider Expres 735 M is a good refill? Is the expres one not the slider. Ty
Yeah, it's fine. The Express line is not extraordinary but totally usable.
Great video! Is the Softline comparable with the Jetstream parker style refill?
Yes. The Jetstream is a bit smoother and more viscous. The p900 soft line is more ballpoint like
Hi. Can you please suggest what should I buy? Easyflow 9000 or p900. I use low quality paper.
Low qualit paper lover here aswell
Thanks to you I discovered the Schmidt easyflow! Love these refills but love the Parker g2 gel also
Glad you like them!
Im surprised the p900 softlime is not available on the Amazon in the US. Lots of p900 options though.
How do this and the normal P900 compare to the Caran d'Ache Swissride?
What would a Waterman ink cartridge be? I find they flow off the paper and are my favourite to write with so far.
Where did you buy?? Can't find American seller
I like very much Schmidt however I think all refills should be transparent to allow us check the ink level.
Similar to the Schneider Gelion 39 line? though that would be a gel-based ink. I personally prefer ballpoint and hybrid ink. Though I certainly do agree on the transparent shroud to see the ink level.
@@GothicDragonX Yes, I think all refills should be transparent .
@@GothicDragonX all should be like the Gelion 39.
I need a clear pen so I can find where I put my gelion!
@@dzevadbayraktar322 I see, thank you very much for your feed back.
Sal, after your feedback, I wanted to use this refill. However, here in Thailand retailers sell it around 5 dollars which is almost two and half times the original price. Will try it if I could find it at a affordable price. 😊
Yes, unless you are shopping in a stationery store it's quite hard to find refills at their original price. I've been running into this issue a lot lately. Some sellers have been trying to 'fix' it by bundling refills, so you get 10 for $20 or something, but I rarely need that many.
Good job on your videos. I like the ink cartridge refill videos
Glad you like them!
How does this perform compared to EF9K??
Edit: Got a Softline finally and boy it has best of both worlds....its not as slippery as the EF9K and not too draggy like Quinkflow refills.....it is smoother than Schneider Slider 755 XB
This has a much more tradition feel. It’s more reliable though
@@unsharpen i guess will get one to try it on
@@unsharpen how does this compare to a normal p900? I am in love with the fine refill. The drag seems to be perfect. I guess having a wider tip would ensure smoother performance.
