      @@outerik90 good question I wish I had an answer for you. I personally have never got to the point where I had to take my earrings out and then hit someone. I was in one fight in middle school for me personally there was no time. she slapped me across the face I was stunned, then ( I had been studying martial arts for about 7 years at that point lol)I reacted with a punch to her face. In no way did I take time to think about removing items of clothing or anything else before defending myself. Ironically we ended up being friends after the suspension from school we both had.

      @Cationna 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +18

      I've been called sir by accident, by first-glance misgendering, and deliberately to hurt me. The only time it actually caused me unpleasant emotions was when I was very young and very insecure about how I looked. I didn't take that out on the person, because I'm not savage, but I did have to grapple with it, thinking about how I come off to people and how much influence over that I actually have (even though I realised it was probably purely a slip of the tongue). Later on, when I became more realistic and healthier about my self-image, I couldn't care less. Even when the person was trying to insult me, basically calling me unfeminine and ugly, I just laughed, because I knew who I was and I didn't care if that random bully found me attractive or not, so what a silly way to try to get to me. I understand that if it's a constant issue to you, you might be sad or angry with who you are and not like to be reminded about it. But it's still very much a you problem.
      We don't need validation from random people. We need it from our parents growing up, and if we don't get it, tough luck, but we still have to be the adults responsible for our own lives. Your friends might want to support you - and support doesn't mean blindly accepting any bad thing you're doing to yourself, either, btw - but strangers are under no such obligation. Literally grow up.

    I am a woman. I was born as one. But I have a deeper voice and when I had shorter hair, I would sometimes get called "sir." It NEVER bothered me because I know for a fact that I am a woman, and other peoples' opinion doesn't change that. The fact that they fight so hard for other people to use their pronouns proves that they *know* they are not the gender they claim to be, and they need other people to validate their "identity."

    • @adalheidisofadamahcaptaino18

      I am also female & it does bother me, I just don't let it bother me to the point of becoming horrible to other people if they are assuming I am a man. I just state that I am not a man and move on, the few times people doubled down I just laughed because that's what you do when someone is denying reality. Though to be fair, I do have/had mild gender dysphoria so maybe it was that. To be clear, my gender dysphoria was not to think I was a man or woman it was just feeling overall disconnect in general with either, also I did have facial/body dysmorphia at some point too so... maybe that is why I felt annoyed by it?

    9:31 (My ramble about wokeness in games incoming!)
    Can I just state how fucking tired I am of wokeness in gaming? Particularly in Dead by Daylight, which was mentioned. DbD was my favourite game ever, for many years. I loved it from launch - and I was ten, almost eleven then. I’m eighteen now, turning nineteen this summer, for reference. I was obsessed with the game for probably six whole years, but I quit some time back, mostly due to the aforementioned wokeness. I don’t know why, I don’t know exactly when, but somewhere along the line, the game started attracting a lot of major libs, self proclaimed “queers,” “neurodivergents” etc.
    Whatever labels they like to use. Maybe it did so even at the very beginning - it attracted me, after all, and I’m trans (actually, I’m presumed intersex, but currently undergoing medical testing, so, potato/patato until further ado…)
    Anyway, like I said, I quit a few years back because the wokeness got too much for me. DbD is fairly competitive and not always easy to enjoy when alone. It’s best enjoyed with another person, sometimes two. Issues arose when I couldn’t, for the love of God, find anyone to play with, because everyone I met on forums or through playing made “queerness” and “neurodivergence” etc into their personality. It seems the vast majority of players are very outspoken alphabet mafia activists nowadays. Those who aren’t, are usually exact opposites, I feel. I think all the average joes and janes quit. I wouldn’t know for sure, but that’s been my experience for the past few years. I’ve struggled to meet or befriend other players, because one or two weeks into the duo relationship, they usually start bringing up politics, as that’s apparently all that’s on their mind, and if I casually disagree, or even if I just don’t respond, they usually name me a “traitor to the community,” - sometimes for minor, irrelevant things, like my nonexistent stance on the current wars, or my lack of hate for Trump. Because all trans people have to be the same, right?
    Not to mention - I would say the developers are all mostly outwardly woke, too. I remember, one of the most recent times I revisited the game, on the 7th anniversary, the loading screens composed only of developer greetings, and a big chunk of them were political in one way or another. Like, the good ol’ fashioned “(Insert) lives matter!” and such…
    I could keep going about this for days. I’m sorry. As I said, this was my favorite game of all time for probably 6 years. The game was already pretty toxic and hard to play solo before I decided the woke crowd bothered me that much. It gets to a point where, when you’re already lonely, you can’t just power through and continue to point and laugh at the insanity, all by yourself.
    (Ramble over!)
    As a side note, if anyone reading this is into Dead by Daylight, or even just interested in getting it, and want to play, let me know! I’d love to love it again, but I think I need another person’s help for that! I’m rusty as hell, off the ranks, and have not played against 9 of the 35-ish killers, but my years of experience still remain, and if you’re new, I still got knowledge to pass around!

    • @mattobeefe
      @mattobeefe 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Twiddle_thingshi, no problem, not a bad thing to ask at all! By “presumed intersex”, I mean I have a lot of the symptoms associated with those conditions, so, my doctor, family, and partly even I, are fairly sure it is an intersex condition. - We just haven’t been able to confirm or deny it medically yet, as finding specialists is hard, it was right before the pandemic when we first started, and, additionally, the options were extra limited while I was a minor, so, the process has been very slow. Because of the long wait for a specialist and no known possible differential diagnoses yet, we’ve all just come to assume that it is intersex, after all, and so my doctor and parents have been using the phrase “presumed intersex” for quite a while now, and I totally forgot how weird that would sound to anyone who isn’t me, heheh
      So, sorry about that, but feel free to ask anything else if it’s still unclear, or you’re curious, etc…! It’s no problem :)

    I biggest problem is that 20 years ago all the rules changed. Men started wearing pink and we said "real men wear pink". Then men can wear dresses and women don't need to wear dresses because you can "wear what ever you want". Then it was "edgy" for men to wear eyeliner, wear an earring or paint their nails. So then all makeup, earrings and nail polish became acceptable for men (specifically gay or emo men) to wear.
    We have slowly eroded away physical differences in appearance. In the 90s and early 2000s we all decided those things don't make you who you are. Now that's all been thrown out the window. In their mind only women wear dresses, have long hair, wear makeup, carry a purse, wear earrings, do their nails etc.... however REAL women don't always do those things. All the rules are messed up and they contradict each other. Either only women wear dresses and make up OR the clothes and makeup don't reflect your gender. They can't have it both ways!

      ABSOLUTELY. Like Misha said, it's actually rude and regressive to call someone any less of a man because of what he chooses to wear - or so we were taught. Now it's apparently rude not to notice when someone is doing something with their "gender presentation"? So if I see a Viking reenactor with very long hair and beard, I should assume he wants to be seen as a woman because apparently long hair is feminine (and also no cultural or historical differences are relevant to that)?? All of this is completely removed from any sort of reality of how people actually act and function, and the social engineering isn't gonna work because it's against human nature.

      Actually the era in 80s where men were able to wear more flamboyant stuff and women were able to cut their hair short and wear tomboyish stuff was the era of genuine gender liberation. Men and women were start claiming their right to individuality not " acting " in a certain specific way to be men enough or women enough. They just were themselves. And clothes are not a biological attribute and even biological attributes that's related to sex differs from a person to another. Yes there is trends and leaning in every sex category but individuality is a thing.
      Personally I know a straight man who wears makeup, wigs , dresse and looks like a " trans person" but he's not trans and doesn't like to be seen as a woman. He insists, he's a man . This man has a wife and works as a pilot too .... See ... This is what, I am taking about.
      Imprisoning men and women in a certain image to perform would make them rebel against everything and reject themselves and strict gender norms is the reason behind the phenomenon of nowadays transgenderism.

This person immediately clarified to the interviewer that he is a “lady boy”. If this person wanted me to used she/her, I agree with Mia, I’d respect that. I bet even if I didn’t, lady boy wouldn’t be offended because this is a person who seems confident in how they present themselves and what they are.

I've even had my favourite shirt ripped as I was slammed against a wall by a gang of morons.

    I'm currently studying psychology, someone at college brought up trans people and essentially how to deal with them when you become a psychologist. Professor said that we NEEDED to put the biological gender and the desired gender of the person in the report, and treat it like it. It honestly made me think, "what if these people are just lost and just need some sort of guidance to actually recognize who they actually are?"
    A lot of mental health specialists nowadays just take these people's claims at face value and don't actually challenge the claims these people do about their identity. In the future, when I have my license, I hope that I can somehow guide these people into the right path of actual self love within themselves, and show them how outside changes won't influence what's on the inside. However, with how things are as of right now...I might get called "transphobe" and my license would get revoked. If someone genuinely sees their life improve within themselves when they are trans, that's okay. But I highly doubt most of these people are comfortable within themselves and just want some sort of outside influence to solve their internal problems. Being a psychologist is one of my aspirations, and I want to genuinely help people, these people included. However, with these times...I don't know how I'd be able to truly help them.

    YES!!! Glad I'm not the only one saying this.
    When there aren't enough problems people make them. It's what happens to spoiled children.
    If your thirsty and decide to fill up a glass that's fine, but the glass can still overflow and if that's the only problem visible, people will hyper fixate on that.
    Humans have a nasty tendency to only focus on the bad things in life, and it's an evolutionary thing that has saved us in the past. But we should be better then that now, but people refuse to think past their base instincts.
