y'all really can't beat the socks up here. Easy 6 limit on the Kenai and 195k came through yesterday. A 10+ lb'er can easily be the rule rather than the exception!

What I love about Stay fishy is the catch and cook. There's not enough of that on Addicted Fishing. It's boring to watch you guys catch fish and release them. Much better to make nice camps and do some gourmet cooking around the campfire.
I like to stop in at Bear Ridge when I go to the logger's jubilee every August. I too like to stop along the way to fish in the many streams and rivers along that road and the one over the pass to the north of that one. And that fruit stand is in my home town as well!

Snyders German Sausage Haus in yakima wa is my go to sausage shop. Ive done 15years in custom meat shops 11years at one shop and 4years at another. Ive made thousands upon thousands of tons of sausage of all sorts. Hams, bacons, jerkys, chickens. U wanna try a real treat just use any bacon or ham brine and soak chicken hind 1/4s in it for a couple days, rinse it off with water real quick, put on rack in smoker, use no smoke dampers open, let skin get a tacky almost dry look, close dampers up and hit it with all the smoke till it reaches 160for at least 1 minute, pull off and put on cooling racks directly into cooler. But first ya gotta eat one right of the smoker👌. The possibilities are endless with what u can putnit in.

Worked on Karluk Lake in the 80's and spent my freetime fishing with bucktail flies, but one of my coworkers tied some up with a hook, bottle cap, and a few hairs just to show us anything would work...nailed 'em. Nice Westslopes.
I think the rockhounding is pretty cool and interesting also cool you came to New York state where I live already to do some searching..there is town in the Adirondacks that is popular for geode searching
