I saw Edguy in Munich on the Vain Glory Opera-Tour in 1998 or 1999 with 5 other people in front of the stage and 40 poeple in the venue. Support was Eternity X. Both were great!
I had a similar experience with Sabaton early on in their career, at most 100 people at the show. Seeing where they are now it's hard to believe that they ever did such small shows. If you think about it nearly every band started out that way of course but imagining some huge bands in that setting still feels strange imo.

I was at this concert. so here is some fun fact about this day... They were recording the DVD, but the cameras didnt work at the first 2 songs... So Tobias said to the crowd “we have a good and bad news for u guys... the bad news is that the cameras was turned off... so we are going to enter again on the stage and you pretend that is the first time... and the good news is that we are going to play all night fucking long...” So if u watch this DVD from the begining we can see that they are already swetting when they come to the stage
6:35 - I've seen some other video where Tobias did a perfect jumping split (both legs straight out to each side) before. He can get kind of crazy on stage. Maybe not quite as much these days but certainly back in the day with Edguy
You really need to do more reactions from Edguy. Please do a reaction to Tears of a Mandrake (Live from "Fucking with F***" DVD) That version is pretty awesome (next to the original). Pharaoh (Live from the "Burning down the Opera" album) is amazing too.. The middle part (bass, etc..) = wow.. Keep on the good work. Your channel is great!
I've seen them about 5 times. Love the band. I prefer Edguy before Avantasia. Avantasia made two awesome first albums. The third was very good as well then there was just two or three per album I liked. Edguy is the better band for me though
