Picked up a 15 inch a few years ago because I could no longer repair my 20 year old table-top planer. I love it! Runs smooth and quieter than my old one. Better dust collection. Easy adjustability. Really like the steel rollers as opposed to rubber. And as usual, great customer service!
Wish I would have spent the extra $ when I bought mine and got the spiral cutting head. I will end up buying and installing one. Love my Grizzly planner!
Hi Keith, for 15" planers we suggest an absolutely minimum of 400CFM. However, if you plan to use the dust collector for an additional machine in the future then we recommend the G1028Z2 since it is affordable and it has 1300CFM of suction. That may seem high, but when you consider you can have it farther from a machine AND be able to run two machines, plus it's mobile and not much more an investment.
Everyone in the world needs a Planer in my humble opinion.
