Casual 10v10 should become a “war game” it encouragrs players to learn the game the wrong way, skirmish should replace causal, but make it to 8 rounds and maybe you can leave match or join a match already in progress like r6 Sieges quick match mode. It will make new players a lot better at the game when they first play comp

I played my first comp after like 800 hours lmao. It does not matter if casual prepare players for comp as comp has ranking system
@@matulostyle i played m y first comp after 200 hrs. All i did was play wingman as rank didnt matter there as much cuz it was fucked. Also played alot of community competitive and retake.
A way to have unranked matches as close as possible to ranked matches is always a great idea.
You can practice maps and strategies without punishment and have something with less time involvement than a full match.
And when he mentioned mutators it instantly brought me back to good old UT. Having everything run at twice the speed, everyone with unlimited ammo but quad health is just a crazy fragfest
They shouldn't remove 10v10 casual. Lots of players play it just to play some fun CS and also BS with a bunch of other players. If you want to get _better_ at the game, then you play comp or scrim. Casual serves a different purpose

in a parallel world where people saw past bomb defusal we had some diversity in competitive gamemodes too
I prefer to stay my whole live saving hostages in Apollo rather than trying once to defuse the bomb on the shitshow that is A site in Engage.

@@8Delian8 It's not like he's doing it for no reason. There's plenty of reasons why hostage maps don't play as good as defusals. Personally, I think Apollo would work very well if the spawns were swapped with each other and the hostage zones were swapped for bomb sites.

Eh tf2 community died when they nuked all the community servers years ago when they introduced mm into tf2. The populations in fun community servers went down pretty fast

Here's my prediction: Csgo will have official servers for surf maps in the future
Honestly that's such a good idea, surfing and kz and bhop are basically the history of counter strike in general, if you look back to 1.6 people spent like 50% of the time playing "minigames" like that.
Also guardian missions are very nice, i dislike how they work around weapons, but it could be a legitimate game mode.
Oh and also, i think adding a ranked 1v1 mode could be cool, like these 1v1 arenas on warmup, maybe a bit bigger

It’s a good idea in theory but since the regular servers are only 64hz (like he mentioned in the video) it would feel different then surf servers since they are all 128 tick, but if they made the servers 128 tick then it would be a great addition

Great video, enjoyed the suggestions, think it's a great path forward for CS as a whole. One thing stuck out to me: you made a comment about CS being the premiere eSports viewing experience. While I agree, and want that to continue being true, we've seen from people in the scene (namely RL) what a dangerous position everything is in right now. If you can, I'd love to see you make a video addressing it; your ability to reach a widespread audience (many of whom may not be as involved in the competitive scene) is unparalleled. I think you can agree that it's an extremely important part of CS, and it'd be a shame to lose it.

anyhoo, i've seen on reddit people comment about how there's no team switching unlike in community servers. idk but i like the no team switching thing (unless of course you choose to, whenever there are available slots) since it feels like you're actually playing a mini game:
1 - you communicate with the same team
2 - even after you die just like in comp and unlike in casual
3 - since there's no team switching, the score actually matters and like there's an outcome to the game like a definite win-lose, so it's not just a practice like deathmatch
PLUS (other features i like about the retake)
4 - there's no cooldown, like casual and deathmatch and unlike in comp
5 - unlike in community retakes, the skill level is not that high (i guess because it's easily accessible because it's official), which is good for us silver people/bad players/n00bs

last 2 week ago when its was the quest mission, my first game i get 38k and the second 43k, loved it
The only thing I heavily disagree with is removing Casual, since you can play for arround 10 minutes and leave the match with no penalization, and without making your teammates be in disadvantage. In skrimmish you have to play the entire 40 minutes match, and if you leave you have a penalization. Really good video tho

I don't play CS:GO as much anymore, but the ping system is a long-needed change I'm surprised wasn't added until now. To get personal, I get innumerable levels of anxiety using voice chat in any game, and while it's an issue I have to work on myself the fact that I can still enjoy games without having to come out of my shell is incredible. Thank you to Valve for finally introducing it.

Lol. Warowl is literally the best CS:GO youtuber. He is informative, funny, creative and a try hard. He obviously cares about the game and happens to make a little scratch while pursuing his passion. All the others are trying to make money off cs:go first and they also care about the game (except houngagne, he is basically french warowl.) I love warowl. Thank you for caring about this game to an insane level. I appreciate you.

Rotating the competitive maps is a great idea, it definitely needs to be done in competitive since Anubis is currently sat at a 10 minute wait time where I am.
To be honest, I'm surprised the gamemodes haven't had an overhaul yet. Do we really need 4 deathmatch playlists? I'm a mostly casual player and a big fan of War Games, but I'm very surprised that the gamemodes don't rotate in and out (even though this can be done, like with the Danger Zone map pool), which would allow them to add more unique War Games modes, perhaps even ideas from the community (zombies, bhop, 1v1 and surf are all very popular), while keeping the servers populated.
I'm glad we finally have 2 new Wingman maps, but there are still so many great workshop maps out there that could be used for all the modes. Does anyone even like Sugarcane in Demolition? There are so many better workshop maps to replace it with, and the same goes for Wingman, which I'm sad to see lost the unique Rialto map but kept Train and Cobble and such.
I love the new Retakes mode, although it is annoying that we have to choose a team, since people with slower computers rarely load in quick enough to choose the more popular T side. As you said, players should switch teams throughout each match.
I'd also love to see a proper Free For All gamemode with ranks, but I've come to accept that solo Danger Zone is the only solo mode this game will ever have, which isn't even balanced since you have to play against duos who can respawn their teammates. As a solo player who has to put up with enough annoying people at my job and plays games to get away from people, it's a shame there's no proper solo mode in this game, other than queuing to be matched with toxic teammates.
I was hoping for a single new maps playlist like in past operations, but I'll take what I can get. I'm not a fan of Anubis, it feels more like a Valorant map, with just lanes and boxes everywhere. I guess Valve wants to draw in 1.6 fans or something? I also don't like Engage, it's fun but the rotation times are horrendous, and tehre are far too many angles you have to check in every room you walk into.
Oh, and shoutout to Apollo, this map has been on the worrkshop for foreverrr and it's great to see it finally added, hopefully it remains in the Casual Hostage playlist permanently. That playlist really needs an overhaul, Militia and Assault are awful, and there are many great Hostage maps like Insertion and Offtime which would be far better additions.
I'm still hoping for some basic gameplay changes at some point, like letting us choose from any gun when buying (instead of forcing us to equip M4A4 or M4A1-S, etc.), but you're correct in your video, the game is in a very good place right now.

@@yeapthatsme2982 yet it has a higher daily player count than ever whilst also being in the top 3 most played steam games consistently, so I really don't see this dying at all. Maybe to some people that get tired of the game and don't see it "evolve" too much but the game will keep on keeping on nevertheless.

Great video. Just my thoughts:
I love how CS is trying out new gamemodes and I hope that they'll keep doing that, while keeping the best ones around. It'd also be nice to keep the "old" gamemodes around, so that they can be played locally.
Regarding competetive, I mostly agree with your changes. However, the inability to queue any map in competetive could scare away many players. But I don't have a better solution.
One thing that I'd love to see though is if Valve added one community map to the active map pool. That map could be switched around in regular intervals.
Overall I'm not sure if we should have 2 or 3 competetive gamemodes in the long term. Maybe there's a hybrid solution, where a selection of 2-3 pre-picked map pools can be selected to be queued in premier mode? E.g. having a pool with the most popular maps for three different elos (low, high, pro) that could also contain 1-2 community maps?

If you think about it, the veto system also means that you can find matches faster, since it includes all the maps. That might have been part of the reason for it.
You should take one for the team and go more on vacation so we get more CS:GO updates, thanks in advance.
FYI you can select how to sort players in the premier scoreboard by clicking on the K, A, HS% etc. It doesn’t have to be sorted by total DMG :)

Me and my friends had an idea for so long since from 1.6 and to Source... Add a Clan VS Clan System (Clan Match)
- Scrap the Premier Mode idea or just evolve that concept and put in Clan VS Clan (Clan Match) for more competitive experience. And add a currency to create a clan like $4.99 (Or more) a month and make the tick servers (Clan Match only) 128 tick, and also to avoid clan spam.
- If the clan itself got expired due to not paying the monthly tax the Admin have 14 days to pay that tax. During that 14 days they can still play the Clan VS Clan Mode but other players who wanted to join the clan will not be possible.
- You can add settings on what kind of rank can a player can join to your clan and also you can kick them, and also to prevent smurfing. Like for example: You need to be LE to join this clan. But you can only join ONE clan.
- The Clan itself needed to have a rank system, the rank system will apply to the clan and also for the players, like Wingman's rank system. Each win or lost will apply on your rank depending on the clan members' performances.
- If you reached that specific rank for your clan like GE, you can add a clan logo or symbol that resembles your clan (Anything that you want). That logo or symbol can be a badge or a patch that you can apply to your Agents. So you can brag your own clan and let others know hard you and your clan members work for that goal.
- It's more fun and more competitive with you and your friends and make the game more diverse and meaningful, and it will make you feel like your playing in the championships.
I wish VALVe will implement this idea or concept after the operation ends. It will be REALLY awesome if they did.
How to make clear hostagemaps suck: Don't say anything to a new map beside "it's a hostage map". Savage. :-P
