Since I modified the action (little spring) its been around the 180 shots per fill that Walther claim. Before that around 155. Whats your thoughts on the presentation of the video...me jabbering on isn't everyone's cup of tea, but on the graphics front...does the video benefit from the data and target ring?
Hi lads just bought a BSA r10 se 177 have you done a review on it yet as I can't see it on your listings I think it's a great gun as it's my first PCP gun and would be interested in what you think about it.
We haven't i'm afraid. But what i can say is it is a rifle that gets few complaints mechanically on the ranges i go to and many seem to have done the rounds for years. Accuracy is not an issue and they seem to take most pellets you feed them. For some reason though many shooter seem to tinker on with them swapping out parts for aftermarket ones. My only gripe is the price of them new. But as they are made in UK and a fairly safe purchase its easy to swallow. Happy shooting buddy.
Yukon scopes are really good for this as they work in day and night, fit where you need it and it's well priced. My issue with IR stuff is depth perception. Everything appears very 2D. I built a kit for the RM8 using a monitor. The light it gave off killed my vision and and ended up getting the poncho out to hide the glare from the quarry. But by far the biggest issue i had is trying to guess the target range. For ratting at fixed range wouldn't be a problem...but It was terrible for rabbit, on the move or ambushes, there was just no depth perception at all and very bulky. With the Yukon you get a better idea of range i find for some reason on the ones i have seen on the firing line. But in my opinion a well set up dull lamp is hard to beat when combined with an IR rangefinder to monitor whilst stalking in with and confirm range. Then execute on a lamp...I clattered a bunny at 50y coming off the range just last night on a dull lamp with the .22 Hog...(RM8) you see in the video, no rangefinder though, my own skill only. But it did take a lamping season to get these skills. Actually now i'm talking about it...i want to go lamping...bloody school nights!
@@ShootingOutdoorsChannel ok mate will look into it over the weekend but keep up the good work.and no you don't jabber on at all I think you edit and present the footage great alot better than most of the top boys on here thanks again.
Its great. 12 footpound? I understand all english but I write like a 2 years old boy. Im from sweden... school English from the 80" haha. Like your videos alot.
I too have the RM8 .22 (thumb hole stock version). Did you have problems with the weight of the gun when shooting the video? I found mine a little heavy when going round the woods. Also, I noticed your silencer, what make is that? It looks like 2 joined together.
It was a dead weight and a half on a course but out in the field it was ok because of the sling. They are a bit agricultural in terms of design. The silencer...is just a Weihrauch silencer but I got better accuracy with the barrel weight and silencer attached. It looked daft so I ended up sapa'in the both of them to make it look a little more blended to the barrel.
Nice video👍💪Which action camera did you use?
Akaso 4k... Its got flaws but its cheap and does the job.
Great video pal nice to see a different view of the corse, keep up the great work 👍
I also have the RM8 how did you attach the sling to the rifle?
QD studs and some very careful machining.
How many shots from one fill?
Nice video.
