The autobots only came to his help AFTER he got stabbed, so i guess they took a wrong turn at some freeway?
Definitely the first film all the Deceptions lost character and power in the later films. I dont even think Decepticons were in TF4. Humans are more technologically advanced than Transformers?!?
Well, humans are know to quickly adapt new technologies into their own, soooo yeah, while not stronger physically (obvious), the TF LA humans could be a bit more advanced technologically, however you have to take into account that they were also getting weaker because there wasn't enough energon to repair enough wounds.

And humans dont reverse engineer a million years of technology in 4 yrs. You give us too much credit. The only thing the 3rd move got right was Decepticons forcing humans to work for them

TF 2007 and TF:TLK Megatron are by far the best incarnations of Megatron in the movies. TF 2007 Megatron is such a powerhouse and a tank that Optimus struggles to even put a dent to Megatron and is getting ragdolled by him. The power gap between the two is just immense that Optimus didn't even bother to think that he could stand a chance against Megatron in a fight and would rather go suicidal with the Allspark just to end the war. TF:TLK Megatron is also strong, and is definitely close to the level of his peak strength like in the 2007 movie. The dude is on par or even slightly stronger to the strongest Optimus incarnation we've got so far. He fought four Autobots at once and he even managed to pin down Optimus with just one arm. It's a shame we didn't get to see more of him in that movie.
Honestly the Revenge of the Fallen Megatron is my favourite form of the Live Action Movie Megatron's. I loved how it was all asymmetrical, the giant shoulder spoke on one side just screams Megatron for me nowadays. I'm hoping that as the reboot continues, we keep the Megatron looking spiky gimmick. I'm a fan of how Megatron looked in the original Cartoon. But still, Megatron being a Cybertronian vehicle, his head fully visible, his body spiky and looking like I would hurt to even try to punch him. Standing high above all other transformers, even Prime himself. That's what I'm hoping we get to see as the reboot continues.

this is a solid analysis of Megatron. His battle injuries and modification were consistent through all the Transformer movies... never seen another production company do that... Yo have to figure Earth tech is woefully behind cybertronian tech, so why would Galvatron be uber powerful. Given some time and rebuilding, the final stage should have been slightly stronger but not as powerful as a General fresh on to hunt, like in movie 1.
I think for my ranks of the live-action Megatron will be I think number one is Revenge of the Fallen number to age of Extinction number 3 Dark of the Moon number 5 is actually the last night number four is actually the first live-action Transformers Megatron
For the best Megatron, I would say it's the 2007 one. That version of Megatron was just the purest incarnation of badass. However, for the strongest version, I would say its the TLK one. My reasoning being is his attitude. In TLK, Megs actually uses his brain unlike in 2007 where he was too reckless. The guy called a retreat when the battle didn't go their way in the town but if it was 07 Megs, I doubt he would even consider that. His not so reckless attitude, buffed up body and adaptation to his own weaknesses (such as using a sword because he lost too many times to Prime's sword) is what makes it the strongest in my opinion. Also, let's not forget about the part where after he got his hand sliced off, he quickly put Prime's own blade at his throat and with the classic bad guy monologue, Prime survived I'm not too surprised about Megatron being weak in ROTF and DOTM. In ROTF, it almost seemed like he was new to fighting. As a kid, I didn't understand why but now, I do. Guy must have felt like he wasn't using his own body. In DOTM, well, can anyone actually fight at their peak when their injuries are still visible? If it's scars already then maybe but that kind of injury? Doubt it
In TF3, Megatron should've been a little more patient and waited for Sentinel to finish off Optimus. Right after Sentinel killed Optimus, he would put his guard down and so Megatron can strike in and do what he did in the movie. That would be the absolute win for Megatron instead of leaving an opportunity for Optimus to fight back.

07 Megatron isn’t as strong as AOE Galvatron or TF5 Megatron. 07 Megatron appeared stronger because he was THE FINAL BOSS in the first film. My argument as to why Galvatron is stronger than 07 Megatron is Megatron was basically the one building his own body to his liking; meaning it’s his ideal body. Galvatron can disarm Optimus of his energon blades and even has arm blades that compliment his brawler type fighting style very well. TF5 Megatron is stronger than 07 Megatron because TF5 Megatron has learned a ton about his past mistakes. Quintessa granted Megatron with a proper blade, an arm cannon that wouldn’t burden him too much with recoil and weight, and a symmetrical body. 09 Megatron was heavily burdened by his large and heavy fusion cannon that was also used against him by Optimus later on; this is why Megatron used a shotgun type weapon in DOTM to prevent the same thing from happening again. 09 Megatron also had a very asymmetrical body. This means that one side of his body would carry a much heavier weight than the other and this would obviously prove as a disadvantage in combat. Megatron has mastered his 07 body since it was the one he was using for hundreds/thousands of years of battling with. In ROTF, he was given a major disadvantage with a new but worse body on top of Optimus having a ton of time to train. In DOTM, Megatron was heavily damaged and was still suffering from his ROTF injuries. In conclusion, Megatron appeared weak in the films following the 07 film because first, he was NERFED into oblivion. Second, Optimus had so much time to train and get stronger. And third, he was never THE FINAL BOSS again because of The Fallen, Sentinel Prime, Lockdown, and Quintessa… Oh, and Michael Bay.
We all know who the strongest movie Megatron is: Generation 1 Megatron. (He literally decimated the Autobots forces, and in his first five minutes on screen he killed Ironhide, Ratchet, Prowl and Brawn. And he didn't even properly die, he just got rebuilt as Galvatron)

I respect the point about megatron avoiding optimus's shot and turning but he was not powerful at all in transformers one. just because the autobots are weak doesn't make megatron strong. he defeated optimus... by throwing him. that's what their fight was composed off he was just throwing optimus he didn't show any actual skill. on top of being incompetent and stupid in the first movie megatron isn't as strong as people say.

It's a bit hard to remain as strong as you were when you died, got resurrected, died again, resurrected in a new body and had that same body restructured into a new form.

I agree with this list entirely! Megatron was the strongest in the first movie since he tossed Optimus around like a rag doll. In the second movie, Optimus gained the upper hand during the forest battle which forced Megatron to call reinforcements. Optimus only died since he was distracted. He wasn’t as intimidating in the third movie as he was in the first one. As Galvatron, he was invincible since he had a hole in his chest. In the fifth movie, his robot design was so awesome!
I think Optimus only got beaten up in the first film because he was trying to talk Megatron down more than kill him, Optimus was fighting to stop him whereas Megatron was fighting to kill him

2007 will always be my favorite for several reasons, the whole movie up till the final act built him up as an unstoppable badass, which he actually ended up being once he finally took the spotlight. plus his 2007 design was always my favorite amongst the 5, he looked so much more imposing. Facts, his sick cannon literally one shotted Optimus like 30ft away, he was one shotting jazz and ripped him apart easily, even sentinel on cybertron feared that version of megatron, he couldn’t beat him so join him, if sentinel was so powerful he would’ve killed Megs and stopped the war as starscream would be very easy to take care off
In all fairness to Meg5, he was legit the only other person meaningfully doing stuff on his team. Nitro Zeus for some reason lasted even after Megatron was kicked out of the fighting area and led to fall to his death. Meanwhile: Mohawk died alone and without any fanfare Onslaught died by getting double-teamed by Drift and Crosshairs Dreadbot got chewed up by Grimlock and just up and died Barricade, while pretty active in the earlier portion of the film, suddenly left the final battle, or was killed offscreen.

Tf1 megatron had just woken up and was hungrier than ever. After that..it just was never the same for poor megs. Sure, he had his moments..but not like he did in tf1. Another good vid. Thanks. I like Last Knight Megatron the best. He may not have had a lot of screen time or the lingering threat appeal that the first one had, but when he did show up... it was a party. I love the design. Very Ancient Cybertronian esqu with the jet and robot mode as well as weapons. Dark of the Moon is my second favorite. I like seeing Megatron in a weaker more "humble", if you will, state when he was caring for the Decepticon newborns and when he saw that Cybertron was destroyed. Part of me wishes that the ending that they gave him in the comic made it into the movie. It would've given his shift for a truce more weight instead of making it seem like he was trying to deceive Optimus yet again. Galavtron is my least favorite. And 1 and 2 are tied.
Tbh TF5 was his strongest. U know TF1 Optimus is the weakest optimus. Also TF5 meg fought multiple autobots and even with only one arm he almost beat tf5 strongest optimus(maybe strongest or tf2 optimus may be stronger)
A factor that always seems to be overlooked in this is that optimus and the autobots were also at their weakest in tf1 due to their being chased throughout the cosmos in protoform mode while megatron was preserved at his peak in the ice and the decepticons had the clear edge in terms of military tech, and resources. I have to give a slight edge to tf5 megatron because he alone carried the decepticons nearly to victory when the rest aside from nitro Zeus kicked the bucket pretty early in the film. Also we know from what Joshua Joyce said that he reinforced the transformers he built with tougher and leaner materials, which quintessa then added upon and reinforced further in tlk. Without a doubt in terms of sheer brawn I think it is clear that tf5 megatron is stronger for enduring 3 battles back to back with no medical support, raking on the human military and autobots equipped with sufficiently strong weaponry to efficiently kill decepticons, and the real tell to me was pinning optimus to the ground with one hand. In every other film that required 2 hands and I think that alone is roughly enough support for my argument.
Megatron is at his strongest in the first movie in 2007. This was when he's the undisputed leader, in all the other movies he plays time a subservient role to the main villian. Fun fact: Optimus and Megatron had never fought before prior to their 07' encounter. When referring to what we know, Megatron left Cybertron thousands of years ago, and Sentinel left in The Ark shortly after. Which means Optimus would've had to take over for his mentor and lead the Autobots. With Megatron on Earth frozen in the Arctic Circle, it's impossible for them to have fought eachother in the war. The "Megatron!" "PRIMEE!" interaction is a whole lot cooler with that context.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Optimus only take over once Sentinel left the planet? And Sentinel left after Megatron did cause he was supposed to rendezvous with him on Earth. So...logically, Optimus would've never had the chance to fight Megatron.
I definitely agree that DOTM Megs was the coolest-looking of the movie Megatrons, but also the weakest of them. I’m a sucker for the whole damaged-desert-warrior look he had in the film, and the truck mode was a decent Idea, making him more of a direct counterpart to Optimus. But he did basically nothing but sit and watch all the fights go down and only fight once for like, 10 seconds.
For Bay films hopefully not it's best to let sleeping dogs lie in this case unless you want to see Megatron and the Deceptions to get disrespected even further. As for the reboot hopefully there are more movies.

I think 07 Megatron is the strongest in my opinion. He was an absolute menace. And as a 7 year old he scared when I saw the first film.
The wierd thing is that in the games he fully absorbed the allspark without dying, even gaining a major power boost.

07 Megatron was a character many kids were scared of him
this is a solid analysis of Megatron. His battle injuries and modification were consistent through all the Transformer movies... never seen another production company do that... Yo have to figure Earth tech is woefully behind cybertronian tech, so why would Galvatron be uber powerful. Given some time and rebuilding, the final stage should have been slightly stronger but not as powerful as a General fresh on to hunt, like in movie 1.
I think for my ranks of the live-action Megatron will be I think number one is Revenge of the Fallen number to age of Extinction number 3 Dark of the Moon number 5 is actually the last night number four is actually the first live-action Transformers Megatron

Yes, just like we said last time. 2007 Megatron was the best and was on some steroids just demolishing everything in his path.
For the best Megatron, I would say it's the 2007 one. That version of Megatron was just the purest incarnation of badass. However, for the strongest version, I would say its the TLK one. My reasoning being is his attitude. In TLK, Megs actually uses his brain unlike in 2007 where he was too reckless. The guy called a retreat when the battle didn't go their way in the town but if it was 07 Megs, I doubt he would even consider that. His not so reckless attitude, buffed up body and adaptation to his own weaknesses (such as using a sword because he lost too many times to Prime's sword) is what makes it the strongest in my opinion. Also, let's not forget about the part where after he got his hand sliced off, he quickly put Prime's own blade at his throat and with the classic bad guy monologue, Prime survived
I'm not too surprised about Megatron being weak in ROTF and DOTM. In ROTF, it almost seemed like he was new to fighting. As a kid, I didn't understand why but now, I do. Guy must have felt like he wasn't using his own body. In DOTM, well, can anyone actually fight at their peak when their injuries are still visible? If it's scars already then maybe but that kind of injury? Doubt it

In TF3, Megatron should've been a little more patient and waited for Sentinel to finish off Optimus. Right after Sentinel killed Optimus, he would put his guard down and so Megatron can strike in and do what he did in the movie. That would be the absolute win for Megatron instead of leaving an opportunity for Optimus to fight back.

I think tf4 is strongest, even though there weren't many scenes, he couldn't be hurt or killed, he's able to disintegrate weapons with his chest, forms himself back together, and was folding prime in the movie.

Idk it’s really hard to choose between TF1 & TLK Megatron bc in the first without the all spark being his demise aka movie plot I’m not even gonna go there bc it actually needed placed in the chest, so that’s bs but anyway, in TLK it took all of the Autobots & a blind side to hurt him & he was kicked away bc they knew even with one arm, they had to get him off the ship bc even then, he still may have came back in the fight

07 Megatron isn’t as strong as AOE Galvatron or TF5 Megatron. 07 Megatron appeared stronger because he was THE FINAL BOSS in the first film.
My argument as to why Galvatron is stronger than 07 Megatron is Megatron was basically the one building his own body to his liking; meaning it’s his ideal body. Galvatron can disarm Optimus of his energon blades and even has arm blades that compliment his brawler type fighting style very well.
TF5 Megatron is stronger than 07 Megatron because TF5 Megatron has learned a ton about his past mistakes. Quintessa granted Megatron with a proper blade, an arm cannon that wouldn’t burden him too much with recoil and weight, and a symmetrical body. 09 Megatron was heavily burdened by his large and heavy fusion cannon that was also used against him by Optimus later on; this is why Megatron used a shotgun type weapon in DOTM to prevent the same thing from happening again. 09 Megatron also had a very asymmetrical body. This means that one side of his body would carry a much heavier weight than the other and this would obviously prove as a disadvantage in combat.
Megatron has mastered his 07 body since it was the one he was using for hundreds/thousands of years of battling with. In ROTF, he was given a major disadvantage with a new but worse body on top of Optimus having a ton of time to train. In DOTM, Megatron was heavily damaged and was still suffering from his ROTF injuries.
In conclusion, Megatron appeared weak in the films following the 07 film because first, he was NERFED into oblivion. Second, Optimus had so much time to train and get stronger. And third, he was never THE FINAL BOSS again because of The Fallen, Sentinel Prime, Lockdown, and Quintessa… Oh, and Michael Bay.
We all know who the strongest movie Megatron is:
Generation 1 Megatron. (He literally decimated the Autobots forces, and in his first five minutes on screen he killed Ironhide, Ratchet, Prowl and Brawn. And he didn't even properly die, he just got rebuilt as Galvatron)
To be fair he had help with Starscream pulling his crotch/trigger.

I respect the point about megatron avoiding optimus's shot and turning but he was not powerful at all in transformers one. just because the autobots are weak doesn't make megatron strong. he defeated optimus... by throwing him. that's what their fight was composed off he was just throwing optimus he didn't show any actual skill. on top of being incompetent and stupid in the first movie megatron isn't as strong as people say.
also megatron fought in every fight in the first two? that's a bit of a stretch he didn't do anything in transformers two he only left the pyramid once to shoot sam then got driven off by tanks like an absolute coward
Megatron in TF3 was weaker and he made a suprise attack on Sentinel so there was no way he could have been able to take down Prime.

It's a bit hard to remain as strong as you were when you died, got resurrected, died again, resurrected in a new body and had that same body restructured into a new form.

This tf3 earth form was his weakest form, not his vehicle mode his vehicle mode fine in all but it was the fact that half of his head was missing thanks to Optimus prime and due to that he was deprest.

I agree with this list entirely! Megatron was the strongest in the first movie since he tossed Optimus around like a rag doll. In the second movie, Optimus gained the upper hand during the forest battle which forced Megatron to call reinforcements. Optimus only died since he was distracted. He wasn’t as intimidating in the third movie as he was in the first one. As Galvatron, he was invincible since he had a hole in his chest. In the fifth movie, his robot design was so awesome!
I think Optimus only got beaten up in the first film because he was trying to talk Megatron down more than kill him, Optimus was fighting to stop him whereas Megatron was fighting to kill him

2007 will always be my favorite for several reasons, the whole movie up till the final act built him up as an unstoppable badass, which he actually ended up being once he finally took the spotlight. plus his 2007 design was always my favorite amongst the 5, he looked so much more imposing. I just wish he had a bit more screen time toward the end

In all fairness to Meg5, he was legit the only other person meaningfully doing stuff on his team. Nitro Zeus for some reason lasted even after Megatron was kicked out of the fighting area and led to fall to his death.
Meanwhile:
Mohawk died alone and without any fanfare
Onslaught died by getting double-teamed by Drift and Crosshairs
Dreadbot got chewed up by Grimlock and just up and died
Barricade, while pretty active in the earlier portion of the film, suddenly left the final battle, or was killed offscreen.

@@TCTheDS replace Mohawk with Swindle, replace Dreadbot with Blastoff, and if Nitro Zeus is replaced by a...."spare" Brawl, then we'd actually get the Combaticons in the movie, and maybe we wouldn't have to dedicate some of the cgi budget to the Infernocons, who don't talk, are barely on screen for more than 3 minutes, and get taken out all at once WITH JUST ONE SWING.
Tf1 megatron had just woken up and was hungrier than ever. After that..it just was never the same for poor megs. Sure, he had his moments..but not like he did in tf1. Another good vid. Thanks.

I like Last Knight Megatron the best. He may not have had a lot of screen time or the lingering threat appeal that the first one had, but when he did show up... it was a party. I love the design. Very Ancient Cybertronian esqu with the jet and robot mode as well as weapons.
Dark of the Moon is my second favorite. I like seeing Megatron in a weaker more "humble", if you will, state when he was caring for the Decepticon newborns and when he saw that Cybertron was destroyed. Part of me wishes that the ending that they gave him in the comic made it into the movie. It would've given his shift for a truce more weight instead of making it seem like he was trying to deceive Optimus yet again.
Galavtron is my least favorite.

2007 Megatron was an indestructible master of war who lived for combat.
A factor that always seems to be overlooked in this is that optimus and the autobots were also at their weakest in tf1 due to their being chased throughout the cosmos in protoform mode while megatron was preserved at his peak in the ice and the decepticons had the clear edge in terms of military tech, and resources. I have to give a slight edge to tf5 megatron because he alone carried the decepticons nearly to victory when the rest aside from nitro Zeus kicked the bucket pretty early in the film. Also we know from what Joshua Joyce said that he reinforced the transformers he built with tougher and leaner materials, which quintessa then added upon and reinforced further in tlk. Without a doubt in terms of sheer brawn I think it is clear that tf5 megatron is stronger for enduring 3 battles back to back with no medical support, raking on the human military and autobots equipped with sufficiently strong weaponry to efficiently kill decepticons, and the real tell to me was pinning optimus to the ground with one hand. In every other film that required 2 hands and I think that alone is roughly enough support for my argument.
Megatron is at his strongest in the first movie in 2007. This was when he's the undisputed leader, in all the other movies he plays time a subservient role to the main villian. Plus, Megatron needed backup almost every time he fought Optimus Prime.

Fun fact: Optimus and Megatron had never fought before prior to their 07' encounter. When referring to what we know, Megatron left Cybertron thousands of years ago, and Sentinel left in The Ark shortly after. Which means Optimus would've had to take over for his mentor and lead the Autobots. With Megatron on Earth frozen in the Arctic Circle, it's impossible for them to have fought eachother in the war. The "Megatron!" "PRIMEE!" interaction is a whole lot cooler with that context.
Not sure if you chose not to include these but they had a couple fights in the tie-in comics.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Optimus only take over once Sentinel left the planet? And Sentinel left after Megatron did cause he was supposed to rendezvous with him on Earth. So...logically, Optimus would've never had the chance to fight Megatron.

I definitely agree that DOTM Megs was the coolest-looking of the movie Megatrons, but also the weakest of them. I’m a sucker for the whole damaged-desert-warrior look he had in the film, and the truck mode was a decent Idea, making him more of a direct counterpart to Optimus. But he did basically nothing but sit and watch all the fights go down and only fight once for like, 10 seconds.
