- We are please to introduce the second episode of our Bendi Stories series, a special monthly feature designed to tell the often overlooked stories of people and life across China.
For this episode, we continued in Songyang, where spring is synonymous with tea picking. This is the busiest and most important time of the year for the locals who rely on hand-picking the best tea leaves to produce the county’s most sought-after item: green tea.
To learn more about the local tea culture in the region, we had the pleasure of working with tea master Qing Yong, who shared with us the ins and outs of how he makes Songyang's "xiang cha".
