I've just come across your videos and really enjoy watching them. Congratulations on your beautiful family 🎉❤. I really was hoping to find out also how you successfully expressed your milk. I'm due soon and having a elective CS. I'm worried my milk won't come through and don't want to use formula once we get from the hospital. I also have gestational diabetes so also haven't managed to harvest any colostrum as yet. Any advice would be amazing ❤ xx

Hey hun!! Thank you!❤️ and congratulations!! So with both my kids in the very beginning I would put them to the breast (on demand meaning whenever they got hungry) usually that would be every 2 hours. After that if they were still hungry I would top them off with formula. My lactation consultant gave me the heads up that my milk wouldn’t fully come in until around 72 hours after birth and it did. My milk supply increased each day and I was able to stop the formula and just do breast milk. Also make sure to remember to eat full meals and stay hydrated because once those babies get here it can be challenging remembering to do those things. But the most important advice I have is be sure to stimulate your breast every 2-3 hours whether it’s from baby or a pump. I also recommend getting a good pump. I love my Medela freestyle flex. I also heard the spectra is really good. There will be certain times where your baby cluster feeds (meaning feeding alot more than normal) be sure to breastfeed during those times too it’ll increase your supply. You got this momma! Try not to over stress it. Remember the more you demand from your breast the more they supply. Wishing you a safe and healthy delivery ❤️

@@danimari9561 awww thank you so much hun. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time, this is wonderful information 🙏🏾🥺 ❤️ your advice has been seriously helpful as we just kind of get left to out here without the proper advice. Wow 72 hours is amazing too. I will be sure to put baby on breast every 2 hours too to get the flow going and also make sure I'm eating and hydrated. I have electric pumps too so will be sure to do the stimulating technique too. 💕 I'm so grateful for all the advice and noted on the cluster feed. This will help me so much thank you so much lovely Momma. I truly appreciate the time you've taken to reply and I'm on the advice too. Lots of love from sunny UK 🇬🇧☀️❤️
