    I live right outside of Frankfort Kentucky. I own a 24 ft travel trailer but am looking to buy a small bus this winter or can maybe. I wanna spend part of the winter in Arizona. Excited to see where all you go!!

    Camping in any form, taking good care of a dog/any animal, beer and cooking has me hooked. Keep doing what you do!

    Good morning your dinner looks wonderful! I am a disabled senior that travels for suicide awareness in my 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan wheelchair conversion with my four chihuahuas. I do not have my whole folder system figured out yet so I prefer to camp at Corps of engineer campgrounds because being disabled I have the America the beautiful pass which gives me half price camping! You cannot beat 10 to $12 a night for sites with electricity and water. Safe travels and enjoy your journey!

    I have been wanting to camp in Hoosier national forest for a couple years now. I live in northern Indiana so it’s a 4 hour drive so I haven’t made it yet so I’ll watch you do it. Great video. Hammond is in Northern Indiana close to Chicago

    Snow! 👋🏻 from Edmonton, Alberta, 🇨🇦 where there is a lot of ❄️🤣. Interesting fire pit. 👍🏼👍🏼. Dinner looks 🤤. Just found your channel. New sub here. Look forward to more of your adventures.

      Yeah snow is usually pretty mild around here. “Fire pit” is still experimental but liking it so far. Thanks for Watching!

    I hear the forest in the midwest are full of paranormal stuff, have you experienced anything like that at one of these isolated spots?

    • @theweirdoutdoors
      @theweirdoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      No I haven’t experienced anything but I also don’t personally believe things like that exist. I’m more worried about bears than spirits lol

    I camp out of my old 4Runner here in Indiana (mostly HNF), but I am only aware of one free campground. This place looks different from “my” place, what’s it called? Im always looking for safer places to camp here in Indiana as it’s usually just me and my teenage son or me alone. 🚺😊

      I don’t post locations on TH-cam very often but I did share this spot in our Van FB Group Kentucky Van Life & Camping and in the FB group call Indiana Overlanders

    How did you make the wax fire?.

    • @theweirdoutdoors
      @theweirdoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cut cardboard to size wedged in ammo can, melted wax and poured it in to fill the can leaving just some of the card board sticking above the wax like a wick.

    Great channel! My husband and I just started watching your videos and subscribed. We live in NKY and got a hightop van to visit the Parks and camp areas in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana this year.

      I love HNF so many great areas to explore lots of cools things around too. Jug rock and House rock are just outside HNF and are some super cool rock formations to check out if you’ve never been.

    I've been a campfire traditionalist for fifty years. Sometimes one cannot have an earth based fire, I don't deal with carrying the trendy metal things and a propane tank has yet to earn a place in my bike trailer. Your fire in a can intrigues me.

      I love it but have only burned it 3-4 hours so far. Curious to see how long it lasts as I continue to use it.
