I'm glad someone finally made a video on this, I'm a 9 year war robots veteran and the way the game has changed is disappointing, war robots is an empty husk of the once great game
Playing since 2014? That's crazy! I remember the graphics were pretty doodoo back then, i wasn't that interested into the game at the time. I felt like having to rant. People feel like its necessary to acquire new meta items every update, but its really not. They do not run items which they love, they run items which bring them an advantage. It is a game after all, why won't they try to have fun? Its sad if u think about how much money some people invest just to get ripped off 4 months later.
@@DenisFox- I definitely have to agree with you on that and despite the graphics being a lot worse at the time it has some charm the graphics now just look so .... soulless and the items are just ridiculous and the game was much better without the abilities, i remember all robots only had one ability and you couldn't change it and each robot had their own ability, I remember when everyone feared the griffin and Natasha now they are "mid tier" robots

I am really not against robots with multiple abilities, as long as they aren't stronger than the originals. For example, Weyland and Mender should have the strongest healing from the game, and no robot/titan should ever get a strongest healing. Hops you get what i mean, i suck at explaining 😅 Yeah i know it used to be called WWR before, but the developers wanted to add flying/hovering robots so that name is gone. 😅😂
Manni also has an similar view about the game but the developers won him by allowing him to give away 200 of the newest robots every update. It seems like people like ranting videos 😅
I had two ao jun, one with viper and the other with avenger. Two leeches, one with tarans and the other with a corona and in the middle was Tyr with storm and gust. I had to remove all of them from my hangar, right now I have three lynx, redeemer, cestus and the harpoon heavy weapon, a mender with ultimate orkan and scald. I won the ultimate orkan in the lucky prizes, and finally a ardent imugi with mace and cudgel. I don't know what to do if they keep adding things because you're right, it's a lot of silver for these robots and then having to change them.
Stick to the Imugi and Mender. Never replace them, HOWEVER expect your Lynx to be nerfed to the ground. Its forcefield is 140% better than the Seraph forcefield, an robot which literally has an forcefield as its ability, not as its passive skill. Try getting a Ravana as its a great robot which will forever be good no matter what
@@DenisFox- I just evolved a lynx to mk2, this is a disaster. So, I was thinking a fenrir, okay? I'm staying in my hangar with the mender and the ardent imugi, did you recommend a ravana and there are two left, which one would you recommend?
@@C-WR-2016 It mostly depends on your playstyle. So you have a supporter (Mender) and a beacon capturer (Imugi). Sonic Ravana would be a great brawler/ tank, but you gotta invest into it a bit. If you have any Crisis/ Behemoth, you could make a Gauss/ Reaper sniper build, or you could run the Hwanje lasers but you'll need the Harold Han pilot. Yeah you can go with a Fenrir also. Maces and Hammer is great on Fenrir. This way you would have a Support (Mender) / Beacon Capturer (Imugi) / Sniper (Crisis or Behemoth) / a brawler & tank (Ravana) and a tank (Fenrir). You could go with that in the future
Been 3 days since I un-installed, also I find many hackers, and now only been facing ochos above 6k Which is sucking my interest dry I don't enjoy it anymore
Yk its crazy how many people quit daily, and how many clueless begginers who start playing and don't know anything about the game or about the monetization it has. Old people quit and new people come to the game, and soon enough the percentage of quiters will be so high that Pixonic will abandon their own game. That's good, if you could do it easily i am proud of you. I still cannot do it, as i've invested way to much time and money to just quit
uh... heres my story then! 2016-2021 I left because Hawk was SOOOOOOO OP that I ragequit one match and did not return for a week or two. after a week I had received my very first computer, that being a Mac-book. i then returned to the game only to get curb-stomped by an entire SQUAD of hawks, then i quit for good as i had a MAC and could FINNALLY play Java edition Minecraft! in December 2nd 2023 I returned to the game with a new account on my Iphone just to see how it was going! i always loved the game and had missed it quite a lot! needless to say, i though Hawk was OP now this? PIXONIC IS SOOOOOOO CORRUPT. the game is dying faster than someone with stage 4 Cancer, im done with WR for good. @@DenisFox-
Lol, Hawk was meta but even if we would bring it back to its meta power, it would still be MELTED by the stuff we have as meta nowadays 😂. Yeah it was pretty annoying, mostly because the beam used to deal 100% damage to all targets. You did a good choice. I wonder if i'll be able to do the same.
I do wish that i could run stuff like fafnir, but it simply requires way too many resources to even consider. And all these new instakill weapons keep getting more and more range, as well as all the new robots having like 12 seconds cooldown minimum...
Yeah, Fafnir is sadly some robot which must he HEAVILY invested into to be viable. I do not like how short they make those cooldowns of the newer robots, meanwhile we have poor Ao Jun with an 22 seconds ability cooldown.
I used to Use mk3 molot T Faf Johanna Flynn in Gold League. It's pretty fun in lower leagues with low tier weapons. I know that people with smurf accounts try to cap tiers or levels in low leagues don't upgrade weapons much on robots with a lot of firepower, they have level 6 weapons on medium bots and on behemoth maybe level 4 each. At this point they can get good amount of silver and if they want spend a little on 20 000 keys to get some old weapons and Superchest robots they only have to worry about tankers but it's like their safe haven where they can use anything they want, Gold and Diamond League is a place where all weapons even nerfed to the ground are good if you know how much to upgrade them without having it place you any higher in leagues because of it being overpowered ( they can have level 4 Ophion ) and this method still good for Diamond Expert and Masters ( you'll out grow some weapons but there's still many good weapons ). Right now I'm in Masters II and surviving, I could make a Smurf account but I don't like having tankers so I have stuff leveled up to 9 and 12 trying to stay stuck in Masters. I also replaced modules with overdrive and use map and game mode specific hangars using all the stuff I won from 180 K keys, I sold the useless stuff and got 220 Million silver from it which is enough to Spend to upgrade robots and occasionally on modules when upgrade is on discount. However this doesn't change the fact that the Meta is broken but at least I'm going against very few P2W in every match and somewhat strong enough to kill them, sometimes I manage to kill Newton in the back, doing some weaker player protecting.
Johanna Flynn is pretty bad if you ask me. Im surprised you are able to use Fafnir with that pilot. Im assuming that you mostly play the Fafnir on the ground, and you use the ability defensively. Hey, if it works for you it is great!
Agree 100%. Love the game for the challenge, mechanics, graphics, diversity BUT really hate it for the way it's managed by the developers. It's way too obvious how they ignore the players for a bit more cash. Oh well....happy to be stuck in expert league for the last 6 yrs.
A f2p here. I started playing when angler was meta (i was able to get one too) but after 1 week or so it got nerfed to ground. I now use a lynx with stakes, a pursuer with magnums (one of my favourite robots even to this day), an ophion with atomizers (i recently got this from silver datapads), an angler with incinerator/scalds and a ravana with havocs, a rook with 2 starter weapons and 1 vajra as a titan and none of the stuff i have is mk2. I still struggle to keep up even on expert league due to tankers, cheaters, the people who paid for mk2 stuff and bad teammates. I still cant believe what they have done to this game, cant i just enjoy some really close matches with extreme dose of adrenaline? Cant i just enjoy the game? This is beyond greed
I have some important tips for you, which you must use in order to reach champion league. 1. Know what robots will be nerfed: Lynx for example, will receive another nerf, and Ophion will also be nerfed to the ground in the future. Angler is pretty slow and weak nowadays, but you can still make it work with an good drone. I appreciate you for using Pursuer, that one cool little robot. 2. Don't waste your silver into stuff which will be nerfed. If you have an Fenrir, Ravana, Demeter, Typhon, Khepri, Skyros, Scorpion, Behemoth and Imugi, don't hesitate to upgrade those robots because the chances of them being nerfed are low (Imugi may get an nerf, who knows) 3. Get your equipment slowly to MK2. Since the upgrade prices became cheaper for MK1 levels, you can easily advance to MK2 now. With MK2 you can compete in Champion league 4. Invest into Seraph and other equipment good for PvE mode. PvE mode is one of the best ways to gain resources. I made a guide video in case you wanna check it out, 5th level got changed but you can read my pinned comment for help. Myself, i've reached Champion league with Ao Jun, Nightingale, Seraph, Hawk, Fafnir and Sirius but i do not recommend building such hangars as all those robots require insane amount of resources to be effective, and a lot of practice. Sadly you'll always face one or more guys who will run no skill meta stuff, who will ruin all your robots with ease.

You receive more silver in higher leagues, and more silver means easier upgrades. Even Master league would be a good goal. You receive Thropies when you lose if you're top 3 in your team btw
I’m f2p and I always win multiple giveaways somehow, but in the end my robots and weapons just gets nerfed so badly that i can’t even use them well. I used to dominate FFA with my Lynx and now it gets vaporised by the new equipment And even if I run meta robots it still gets killed frequently by other lower tier robots

Ophion's already nerfed on the test server, and on the live server you can shot through its shield while its landing (The normal Ophion, not quicksand). Well Predator's lying because the robot didn't had an nerf yet, not even on the test server. What's the nerf about?

It was a fix, not an nerf. The ability was supposed to be 12 seconds, as the description stated, but we all know that Pixonic did it on purpose. U can call it a nerf though
Debatable. I do find it much more skill based back in the day. Fujin and Raijin were amazing beacon defends, and the Lancelot would put a struggle to fight them it got the wrong weapons. The balance was perfect: An Orkan Ancilot would demolish the Raijin, and an Taran Ancilot would demolish the Fujin. Nowadays, it is truly impossible to fight meta without using meta urself.

Walking War Robots has been pay to win since it was created, it’s only now that the balancing is so bad that everyone realises how broken the game is
