Just finished watching! This movie for me has broken the stereotypes of Filipino horror movies. I was literally on the edge of my seat when I watched it, especially on the last part. Wala tapon sa casts! Even extras! Kagaling👌

It seems far stretched from the known study about the life of Mallari but nonetheless seems interesting. Its a rare sight to see this kind of films in the Philippines and Partnership witj WB. This film is screaming First nomination to academy awards. I hope this is good and Philippines don't mess up with their selection next year. About time Philippines to send a good film to Academy.

Honest review
Mallari should went with the story of a murder priest and went with like a semi autobiography with a bit of fictional deviation.
However, this film fails as a horror story and even fails as a semi historical fiction. And the constant time jumps in-between segments of the film that made it even more confusing to watch.
The start of the film had good intentions, the end result however turned out to be a huge mess.
I just hoped they would just stick to the historical aspect of the film and it could have been a really good historical slasher film about a twisted priest who murdered people just because of his own beliefs.

Had the chance to watch this on the big screen. Got me on hook and edge crippling on how interested this movie is. The plot-twist is fr twisting! People who loves horror movies should try theirselves to watch this, promise it doesn't disappoints.

films like this make me proud of being pinoy, daming twists and turns, severino actually looks menacing, tas ang main setting is a simple house, props to the crew for a phenomenal job
I feel like dapat ibahin nila ung trailer pra sa international. Feeling ko, magiging turn off sa international viewers ung walang habas na jump scare. Its too much. Hndi tuloy makita ung pinaka storya. Sna gmitin ung jump scare as highlight lang, walang momentum kung puro jump scare at walang silence.

Where to watch Mallari full movie?
Ngayon ko lang nakita ang trailer. I was expecting na true story ito tungkol sa serial killer na pari na si Padre Mallari na mala Dahmer ang dating. Akala ko sa wakas malalaman na rin natin ang storya nya. Yun pala horror na may mga pamulto multo na parang The Nun or Insidious. Lumalabas na purely fictional lang pala na ginamit lang ang pangalang mallari.
Maybe don na po papasok yung "inspire" thing kaya po ganon
Yan din sabi ng friend kong trusted ko sa film analysis and critiquing kasi writer din. Maganda sana if naging period piece ang movie with creepy esoteric elements kaso naging type of horror na mediocre with pudpud ghost tropes and jumpscares.

Lol may potential sana un movie, it started really good, quite a few jump scares pero seriously nging comedy bigla… time travel, manananggal, wolf, witch and serial killer… susme!!! Tpos nging kmukha ni kokey c lola…. muntik ng isama lahat ng klase ng villain s pelikula… tpos may pgka oa un mga romantic scenes… this movie tried to do everything and failed miserably to excel in one… if maibabalik ko lng hintayin ko nlng s youtube pra pnuorin… gone were the days that a horror/thriller flick is a horror/thriller flick!!! Mas gugustuhin ko p ulitin un movie n shake rattle and roll (early ones 1,2,3,4) kesa dto…. But then opinion ko lng un, maybe mdami n kc ko npnuod n horror movie kya nde ko cia ngustuhan. The trailer did an amazing job catching viewers attention tho.
