Perhaps the people without status feel insecure to talk to us? It’s strange to think people who have stuff don’t care about people stranded here. I arrived here in UK as a teen. An adult now and I’ve never met someone who is stranded and I’d have helped, even with daily meals. I’m yet to meet people like that and it would be such a pleasure. Some people in Europe & America don’t have $10k in their account & have never seen such money in their lives but if you talk p3 some people will think you’re lying & tell you that those people are lazy, Well they’re not lazy, You’ll work & get the money but bills go chop half of the money & you’ll be left with just some skinny ass money in your pocket, You can’t even save self !.

The best option is to buy a house. You won't save much at the end of the month due to mortgage payments and bills but at least you know you have invested into an asset. Whenever you are ready to go home, you sell it!

When you retire you can get a lump sum payment of your 401K more than that but you will be 66 years old. US most living in big expensive cities like NYC can never buy a house and most don't drive. The reason I never liked NYC. Welcome to Texas.
