  • Some time ago I made a video on how to assemble a magnifier "Meopta opemus 3". And one guy commented on how I can use filters, given that this magnifier doesn’t have a special drawer for that.

As an alternative, Ilford also makes a filter kit which includes a filter holder that attaches to the enlarger lens. It's called "Ilford Multigrade below the lens filter kit with holder" or something like that. I'm in the process of getting my dad's Meopta Axomat II up and running and I'm thinking of going that route, since the Axomat II also lacks a filter drawer. Unfortunately, the filter kit has been out of stock with my local supplier here in Sweden so I haven't been able to try it out yet, but it's supposed to work with most enlargers so I have high hopes :)

Actually, I didn't make any large prints. But a great idea for the next episode. I'll check also the lens that I have.

Hey! Yesterday I finally bought an Opemus 3. It will take some time to do some restoration work, find couple of lenses, buy multigrade filters, but nevertheless I'm looking forward to printing photos. BTW which lenses do you use?

@@vertusmatjaz Thank you. I also have this lens, but I also want to use another lens for 135 film. Usually lenses for enlargers have M39 mount, and Belar 75 has M23 as I understand. Have you tried any of M39 lenses?

      @@dppxx I didn't. I just use what I've got with the enlarger.

Priporočam namestitev nosilca filrov pod objektiv in posledično uporabo filtrov pod objektivom oziroma jih držiš pod objektiom.

Lepo prosim.
