Anyone who knows anything about voice training knows this is a WORLD CLASS voice! I hear people criticize Amy about her technical weaknesses, whatever. You can have all the "pretty" airy voices you want, have them sing all her songs the way she does and they would be on vocal rest for weeks!! LOL
Amy's voice is gold, but her vocal technique is very weak. She uses too much vocal tension to allow the high notes to come out. That's why she struggles a lot in simple notes like c5 sometimes.
@@scottone6498 Xtina doesn't constrict her vocals on purpose (that's why she barely goes above eb5) she pushes her voice up. Jesse J has so much more relaxed vocals and much more strong vocal technique.

I was seated in the left balcony so I could see Amy play piano. (My last show was the second of this tour in L.A. and, despite my closer seats then to the stage, I was on the right side of it.). Can I just say that two months into this Synthesis tour, the show IS SO MUCH BETTER! I loved the show I saw in L.A., but I immensely loved the show I saw in S.F. SO MUCH MORE! Amy's voice, despite having recently been challenged by illness, was so fulfilling! I am so grateful I was able to be in the audience for a performance that Amy has longed for; the orchestral backing is phenomenal and I can't stop listening to Evanescence "Synthesis". I love you, Amy, and I love Evanescence, especially with Tim, Troy, Will, and Jen now members of the band!
I could go for Synthesis pt.2 even if it was only 3 more tracks including this one. I ADORE THE ALBUM and the live album they put out is even more impressive and immersive than the studio one.
The Change might be interesting. But I don't see where Call Me When You're Sober could work. It's the way it vocally put together. It's like Going Under. Could never work not matter how hard you try.
Even so, never before have I liked this song. Synthesis did a lot for me and I continue to greatly appreciate Ev’s endeavor with regard to this project!

Feride Dogan it’s true, both male and female can use falsetto. Amy uses both interchangeably. Most of the showcased upper register here was head voice.
This concert was awesome glad you can't hear the guys that were attempting to sing along at the top of their lungs. lol hoowever Amy did state that this was her favorite audience of the tour and felt that the show went by to quickly
I was there also. AMAZING show! The Masonic is not that big. I was on the first row of the second level. Great view. You could be on the very top row of the second level and it's still a decent view.
