3:25 in the afternoon here in Southern California USA. Sunny, breezy and incredibly noisy as I live right off of a busy street and people are getting off work for the week.
Past midnight in Germany, but i won't sleep now. Most important is to support you first. Thank you FLives and to the great narrator Brief Case and the awesome Mortis!! Edit: It was an amazing collab! Very interesting stories i enjoyed it. Thanks again :)
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, and learned a great deal of interesting facts about Gloria Vanderbilt. I was completely unaware of all her various career interests aside from fashion! Thank you for all your hard work ❤
Love that you worked alongside Brief Case! Along with Forgotten Lives, Brief Case, The Crime Reel & That Chapter are my go to for true stories. You all have voices I could listen to for hours xx Bit of an edit:- I don't recognise the voice narrating about Henrietta Robinson, but he is very easy on the old ears. Clear diction. Lovely.
Hello Forgotten Lives, thank you for another spectacular video. Having Brief Case narrating in the first story, and Mortis Media in the second story was a pleasant surprise. You and Brief Case have such interesting content and Mort's spooky, a pleasurable listening experience. 😊
Love that Brief Case made a guestplay. His channel is one of my favourites for his dedication to include the general social and economic conditions in society as a whole in which his story about the specific persons take place.❤
I love your videos and get great enjoyment out of watching them. Thank you much for the energy, time, and efforts you pit into making and posting these! Keep 'em coming please! ❤️
18:33 I think it's worth noting that Hetty Green had to pay her husband's (Edward) debts, which amounted to $702,000. Adjusted for inflation, that's somewhere in the ballpark of $22,000,000 in 2023. I don't care how easily you may be able to pay that off, that's a lot of money to pay to get someone else out of debt. I'm glad you mentioned they reconciled later in life. After Edward passed away, he was buried in a burial ground that only interred Episcopalians. Hetty was a lifelong Quaker. So she converted and became an Episcopalian just so that she could be buried next him.
Well, you do take vows that say, "For better or for worse..." I know it's almost unheard of today, but some people actually used to take them seriously.
If my Mother's meanness had cost me a leg in childhood, I'd have thoroughly enjoyed spending her precious money too! I hadn't heard of her before. Gliding stinkily through the gilded age.
I seem to remember her from the Guinness Book of World's Records. She made the list as the cheapest woman in history. I recognize that picture of her in that old, stinky, tattered dress but I I never realized how truly sick she was. I'm glad that her son had at least a few years to enjoy that wealth.
People think that having money will solve all their problems. These are classic examples of how it did not. I'd rather be poor, lower my expectations, & be happy with what I have! Thanks for this.
When I don't know where someone is from and they have a sort British accent but not really--I think they may be from South Africa. I'm not sure though.
The intonation in the first narrators voice and last narrators voice is so strange....could do with making the narration more natural....narrator two was very good ...
I was on the fence about “little Gloria. Maybe because my mom was big Gloria, in another place. This piece made it clear rich people use money as a tool to manipulate.
if dorithy did commit suicide her body would be found, i always believed that the case of abortion is most likely to be true but the person retract their sayings because of fear
Great video and we're distantly related to the Vanderbilts but we're their trailer park and govt cheese relatives we might be broke as a joke but it's something my mom and I can laugh about..I'd rather be poor and happy than rich and miserable 😂
@alspence did he hoard a massive amount of money, preventing anyone else from being able to use it? Her spending that money would have helped countless people. This is why trickledown economics doesn't work, the rich just sit on the money.
Cathleen Vanderbilt looks 1/2 Chinese if not full Chinese. What the hell is the story there? Nobody said anything? Imagine being the kid who got switched at the hospital? Rich Dad Poor Dad...
Anyone else enjoying that pure, crisp, fresh TH-cam air? That’s the level of wholesome content, learning about interest things I never knew before. 👌🏼
SATURDAY MORNING, 8AM IN AUSTRALIA. GREAT HAVING A COFFEE ON A VERY WET MORNING WATCHING THIS VIDEO. 😊

Loved it! ALL of it!

Does anyone know where Forgotten Lives' narrator originates? His diction is so perfect!
When I don't know where someone is from and they have a sort British accent but not really--I think they may be from South Africa. I'm not sure though.
Very good, as always. Thank you.
Love the content

I never knew that Christina Onassis had a child until I listened to this.😊
Much love to Brief Case from Texas, USA!
Love Brief Case!
if dorithy did commit suicide her body would be found, i always believed that the case of abortion is most likely to be true but the person retract their sayings because of fear
Loved it
Did you miss me? I probably not after that great narration.... but I DID miss you ♥
Thanks. 😊
😂 brief case love it ❤
Of course we always miss you!

Wealth does not buy happiness. True wealth springs from the maturing of the soul.
I wouldn't know. Wish I could experience wealth to see if this is true.😂
Good story
gertrude v. whitney grew up in the house at 26:30
Watching 3:37 a.m. Washington DC
Poor spoiled rich girl. It was mentioned that she yo yo dieted. Like Karen Carpenter the heart gives out.
But why is the narrator in the first but SO ANGRY? What did we do? Goshhhh
Hettie was a differnet kind of the worst kind of wealthy people.
I mean J Paul Getty was pretty awful
@alspence did he hoard a massive amount of money, preventing anyone else from being able to use it? Her spending that money would have helped countless people. This is why trickledown economics doesn't work, the rich just sit on the money.
what happen to Gloria's first two children
Never heard of Dorothy Arnold I've so many about all the men 24:21
Money can't buy real happiness!
Why’d his voice change
Guest narrator, as I mention before the story starts!
They got their money from...? Family? Man...
❤😊❤
Cathleen Vanderbilt looks 1/2 Chinese if not full Chinese. What the hell is the story there? Nobody said anything? Imagine being the kid who got switched at the hospital? Rich Dad Poor Dad...
Silly comment.
She looks like my Jewish grandmother, not Chinese.
What's wrong with the audio? New person, or AI? Whatever it is. I turned it off!! Really off-putting!
The first case is narrated by the guy from Brief Case. Another great channel for historical crime stories
it sounds like Paul
Ah, Brief Case. I'll have to check him out.
👏
Wow don’t give anyone anything even kindness….what horrible miserable way to live your life. Oh brilliant children 😂
I rather hear your voice honey ❤
Every time I seen those lips! Be still my heart
Bryn Mawr is pronounced "brin mar" not 'brine more". I am Aussie and know that! I visited and had to ask locals.
You're absolutely right! 😊
