That Thing by Dan piston blade is the most innovative pen I've seen in a long time! So simple, yet elegant and sophisticated. One of the things I like about the pen hobby is that once you think everything has already been done something different comes along. Thanks for introducing it to us. Glad to see that your doing well and creating more videos.
In dip pens, I adore how they scratch the paper. It really makes my gums ticklish. But this one must be on another level. Also the line variations and flow are gorgeous. You must feel like a surgeon while drawing with this one.
Glad to see new content :3 And I love those old pieces of history, specially the way that you make sure they end up as new as possible. A great way to preserve history :3 That being said... that waterman globe mascot looks... odd yet silly I'm not going to make a pun out of the dip pen... Well only one: blade pen! Woooo
What an interesting tool; thanks for the introduction! It would be super useful for a festive note or swatching inks into a notebook. I will keep my eye out for these. Glad to hear the film restoration is happening. An interesting video all around.
Can't wait to see that commercial. Thanks for getting it archived! That piston blade pen looks neat! Glad to know you are doing so well in your new healthy choices. Keep up taking care of yourself!
Thank you so much for all of the amazing and unique content that you create and your refreshing attitude to TH-cam as well as the fountain pen community. Ephemera is far more interesting than I thought it ever could be. Your place in the fountain pen world is right here with us! We appreciate you so much Craig and I hope you are looking after yourself.
I stumbled upon a short about this interesting pen today and went looking, only to see that they're sold out probably for a while longer [said october-november 2024] so it's great to see it in action with more detail. Best of luck with your health and projects. May whoever wins this pen enjoy it thoroughly, hopefully I'll have money to get it once it's back if I am not the chosen one
That 'Things by Dan' pen is very interesting. It is a folded nib pen with a reservoir!!! Loved the post cards that came with my pen purchase, I'm really enjoying the pen. I'm glad to see another video from you - there's no need to rush, so take the time you need to work things out.
Great that you are able to restore that footage. Looks like you are having fun with all your new projects. I’ve never seen a blade dip pen like that before! Thanks for what you do🙂
I wish I had seen this channel and video sooner. I would have LOVED to have had a chance to win the piston pen. I want one so bad. Anyway, I found you because of it and live the channel. Can't wait to watch more!!
Wow that's a really cool pen to do sketches with. I love doing ink artwork . Thanks for sharing the pen and all of the cool ephemera. I've food a a couple interesting ephemera in second hand stores. I actually collect vintage tin boxes.
(That's generous of you, but don't add me as a participant in the giveaway. (^o^)/ More chances for those who would be happy to win it.) Page 3 of Waterman's Dealer Tips addresses a question I had regarding the hole in the cap of many vintage pens. I started plugging this hole to prevent the nib from drying out so quickly, but I wasn't sure if it was advisable. Thanks to your scan, it's clear not only that it can be done, but that it's actually recommended. Thank you! I’m also curious to see the restored advertisement.
I just found that pen through yt and wanna try it so bad!💖 I wonder how it'll look drawing on more angles of the blade. I've used normal dipping pens before, but I don't like the flexibility of the nib and glass pens are too round, though I bet there's more cool pens to try out there🤔
No cut off date for the give-away? :T That would have been helpful to know. Hope I still made it in time. Anyway, glad you're showing off this pen. Looks neat.
You've likely already given it away, but I happened upon content on Dan's brass pen today and was disappointed that they'd already sold out. I'm ambidexterous and have been getting into cursive and calligraphy with my left hand lately. I find it incredibly therapeutic with music or a good audiobook. Anyhow, if you do still have the pen, maybe consider me for the giveaway! Thank you for your vid
I was JUST NOW made aware of this MOST AWESOME pen!! It made me so endlessly disappointed to find out that it was no longer available as of 4 YEARS AGO! Why?! Seriously, my luck, why...?! (Rhetorical)

The more I learn about fountain pens, the more I realize there are things to learn. Thanks for the video, you taught me something today!
Truth.
What a unique pen that is. And I look forward to seeing your film project.
I love seeing the old ephemera and can't wait for the film restoration to be complete.

I like the thinking behind that piston blade.
Looks like blade dip pen has a real learning curve. The Aikin Lambert is a very lovely piece too. Thanks for showing it.

That looks like a fun new writing implement 😍

Nice to see Huntington Beach still representing online! That blade is the strangest writing instrument I've ever seen!

That brass blade pen would probably do very well with shimmer and glitter inks!!
Great that you are able to restore that footage. Looks like you are having fun with all your new projects. I’ve never seen a blade dip pen like that before! Thanks for what you do🙂
The blade pen is a neat concept, but Wowza! that #8 dip pen is something else. It's almost comical in size.
What a unique bunch of stuff you are into! Excited to see the film!
I’m so excited to see that restored ad
ME TOO!!!
That pen is so cool! Love the purple ink, too!💜
I wish I had seen this channel and video sooner. I would have LOVED to have had a chance to win the piston pen. I want one so bad. Anyway, I found you because of it and live the channel. Can't wait to watch more!!
Such a wonderful tool! It looks like it's lovely to work with!
So cool. I am looking forward to your next adventure.
Love the add, love the piston blade. Looking forward to seeing the film. Glad to see you are well.
Thanks Alex!
Craig Rocks!

Interesting design; looks like it holds a lot of ink. I imagine drawing/fountain pen inks only? India ink seems like it could gum that up (
Good to see you looking happy and healthy Craig! Keep doing the stuff you want to do the way you want to do it! (do not consider me for the giveaway!)

Awesome video, Craig. Super neat pen! Very much appreciate the opportunity to win one :-)
Finally a pen with which you can harpoon a Lilliputian whale 😄
That little thingy it's so cool

It looks neat. Seams like there is a learning curve. Did it take you long to get used to it?
Love calligraphy
This would be cool ☺️
Thanks for sharing this, an interesting video!

Interesting Pen...
It's not that they are sold out-I couldn't afford one if they weren't-but I hope you enjoy it in good health.
Cool!
I would love to have one.😊
Man I would love to have such a unique pen!! 🤤
I want that pen. It’s cool.
Do you sell these??
I was JUST NOW made aware of this MOST AWESOME pen!! It made me so endlessly disappointed to find out that it was no longer available as of 4 YEARS AGO! Why?! Seriously, my luck, why...?! (Rhetorical)
Dan is just taking a break! They will be available soon!
