The iFi UNO is a high-quality, versatile DAC (digital-to-analog converter) that offers excellent sound quality and a wide range of features. It is compatible with a wide range of devices, including computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablets, and it supports a wide range of file formats, including high-resolution audio files. The build quality is solid and the unit has a sleek, minimalist design that looks great in any setup. The included software is intuitive and easy to use, making it simple to configure the device to suit your needs. Overall, the iFi UNO is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-performance DAC that can deliver outstanding sound quality.
I got a IFI Zen air Dac, now I want to pair it with the JDS Atom+ Amp so it will increase the sound stage due to an good Amp.
Do you still use the UNO? Did you upgrade? I have same headphones and getting the UNO today. Hoping it doesn't just get louder that it actually changes the stage more and overall better quality sound.
@@liquidsunshine697 yeah I still use it and it works great still ☺️
@@Canseeyt great to hear!!
Did you get it yet ? If yes, how's it performing ? I'm planning to order it but still abit hesitant
@ahmadfodeh3413 yes and it's pretty damn good!! I use it along with Peace UI and Equlizer Epo I think it's called.
With optimized EQ for the DT 770 80 ohms it sounds so good.
At -6.1 db I can crank volume to max and there's no popping or distortion. But sometimes I turn it up to +4.0 +6.0 db for metal music and it's so loud!!! My ears ring after!!
@ahmadfodeh3413 it's definitely good enough to get you by I have no need to buy a better quality unless I have expendable money and feeling impulsive.
Think this will be good pairing with cheap cans like shp9500 or an overkill?
How does it compare to the apple type c dac?
Honestly I would only recommend this Dac/amp if your headphones require 80ohms or higher which the shp9500 isn’t nearly in that range. In the case for my headphones that are 80ohms, they make them louder and give it the little extra boost it needs. I recently bought the DT 900 pros which has a low ohm number so the Dac/amp makes buzzing noises when I use the gaming and media eq settings Bc the 900 pros don’t need it and are already sensitive. Hope this helps.
@@Canseeyt reply has been a tremendous help, thanks!
@@loopsbrother2903 anytime brother 😁
Did it make a difference to soundstage and imaging compared to your motherboard's audio? Like hearing footsteps from further distances away and better positional audio
It doesn’t really do that, it just kind of makes your headphones sound louder and I’d say it’s better overall than your motherboards audio. Some dac/amps are better than others with more features and depends on what headphones you use with it.
Nice little dac/amp. I have connected speakers from the back and headphone to the front and it does not take a lot of space. It sounds quite good on my sennheiser hd560s but only if I don't use eq. Game and Video are unusable for me - very audible noise - like digital artefacts or what, it is not like static noise. On music setting this gets better but still audible. It gets much worse when other electronics are nearby. Thankfully the noise is not present when eq is off. Tested it on different headphones and pcs and android phone. Do you experience also the noise on headphone out?
I started to actually when I plugged in my new dt 900 pro x in but with my dt 770 pro 80 ohm i don’t really seem to hear. It’s more likely if your headphones don’t really require that much power it’ll make the noise Bc it’s already sensitive. Luckily the 900 pro x sound great without the eq presets so I just have them off and use the Dac as volume.
I did kind of adjust the positioning of the Dac and the wire and it made the noise a bit better, when I have the 770s plugged in and use the gaming eq I don’t really hear it with a game running in the background. Hope this helps.
@@Canseeyt Sure, thanks for answer. I wanted to ask somebody, just to see whether it is only my unit having this noise. The eq settings don't make obvious difference so I don't miss it much. For that price, I can live with that. For me ifi uno solved mainly practical issue on my desk - I was considering dongle dacs where I would need to unplug headphones a plug speakers all the time switching. Under 100eur there was not much alternatives that would bring the same comfort as ifi uno does. Thanks.
@@MrYurik yeah I found that I just wanted something simple to boost the volume and it does just that for under $100. The EQ for music doesn’t make noise which is odd but I couldn’t really tell a difference. Either way it’s a nice little Dac/amp that sits nicely on my desk.
How can I connect my android to this dac I now have 1 uno. Do I need an rca to 3.5 to my phone. Don't want it for a pc?
I’m not too sure about using it on your phone but I know it’s possible. I have this dac/amp in my PC using the USB-A port on my motherboard.
@@Canseeyt I didn't know I could use my mob.. Every1 seem to think u can
@@Canseeyt the only thing I rekon is using an rca to 3.5.that should work?
@@aliencblake not too sure but it might
I just ordered this after days of deciding which ones to get since there are a lot of options. I do gaming too mainly FPS, does the game-mode EQ really makes a huge difference in terms of foot steps? If so, it'll be really handy :)
I wouldn’t say a huge difference but it does help, what kind of headphones will you be using with it?
@@Canseeyt HD560s, a neutral tuning like yours the DT 770 Pro but in Open-Back nature.
@@iancarlofernandez1206 oh nice than you’re golden! This Dac/amp will work fine with those headphones.
Second 😅
what settings do u use for audio in bf2042 ?
I switch between stereo headphones and 3d headphones but I mostly have it on 3d headphones
But if you’re talking about on the Dac amp itself I have it on the gaming eq ☺️
@@Canseeyt I ordered that dac/amp today and i play bfv and 2042 only :) its my first external "audiophile dac/amp", I had a lot of internal sound cards but nothing sounded ok to me, xonar ae, blaster Z, blaster x3(external), blaster AE -5 plus etc :D sorry for my bad english, cheers!
@@ATIHD5850 your English is fine ☺️. It’s my first kind of “sound card” thing and I already have good headphones but this Ifi uno helps it a lot.
This amp can do more as is hi-rez , now depending of the content this dac is 32bits at 384 khz you need to change from audio settings in and you will see the color will change if is on the highest frequency like green orange, or blue for DSD decoding (support DSD256 max) if you have music on this format and a player who decode and MQA from Tidal , also this dac use passthrough PC is not playing (if you move the volume sound from windows is not making effect) just gives data to have the best quality and no noise background directly in dac , I own this dac and is really cheap for what is doing :)
Thanks for the tip 🤗
Why is it only for noobies?
It’s not only for noobies but I’d say recommended just in case you don’t want to mess around with eq settings and what not
@@Canseeyt I have five different dac amp and dac/amp units and i think this one is brilliant.. small, easy to use, easy to bring along (not as easy as iFi GO Bar or Go Blue) but i really love it.
@@matereo yeah this is my first Dac/amp and so far so good. It’s been working great for me 😊
I will buy this for my phone 😂
I hope it will beat every 100€ Dongle.
I will sacrifice portability and get the extra weight and size.
Lmao 😂 go for it, link is in the description
@@Canseeyt I will pair it with the Thieaudio Elixir. The bag of my jacket has enough space lol.
I need to buy the usb-c to usb-c adapter myself, right? Or is it inluded?
@@Canseeyt Plus I can also use it at home with my PC like a real DAC.. bonus :0 not only outside with phone.
@@justaemptymall it only comes with 1 usb a to usb c
@@CanseeytThanks. Did you try it out with your phone before? Dit it show any effect?
First 😅
