I’m from Australia 🇦🇺. I’m trying to learn how to grow orchids! I’m not having any luck! All I seem to do is make them ‘sad’. It was flowering when I got it. It had 6 flowers. They lasted a few weeks! Now I’m trying to cultivate it to bloom again! I’m not having much luck ! Although I think it takes a long time before it blooms again!! I get that, but how long does it take for it show signs of blooming 🤷♀️? You see I’m in a hurry!! Is it possible? I love your ‘show’.
Thank you for watching and sharing your question! 😊 The time it takes for an orchid to bloom again can vary, depending on the care and the type of orchid you're growing. Typically, after the flowers fade, it may take anywhere from 6 to 12 months for the plant to bloom again. However, before it blooms, you might see signs like new roots growing, new shoots appearing, or healthy leaf growth. It’s important to ensure the orchid receives the right amount of light, humidity, and water. Wishing you the best in caring for your orchids and hope you’ll see beautiful blooms soon! 🌸
Thank you for your question! 😊 The methods in the video can definitely be applied to indoor orchids. Just make sure to place them in a spot with suitable light and good ventilation. If you need further guidance, feel free to share! ❤️

Wow. This is impressive. I truly hope it works. My orchid roots are looking dry. It blooms, but the roots are not looking healthy. I'll give this a try.
Thank you so much for sharing! 😊 If your orchid’s roots are looking dry, you can try soaking the plant in rice water or garlic water to help rehydrate the roots and provide nutrients. It’s important to ensure the plant is potted in a well-draining medium so the roots aren’t waterlogged, while also providing adequate light and humidity. Wishing you success in reviving your orchid! 🌸

I was enchanted by one of your videos. I looked at all of your videos though and each of them promises great results using a different method. Am I supposed to use this onion method with other methods? If you use them all I think the orchid would be exhausted. Please advise whether you should use one method consistently or just go to town and use every method!!!
Thank you for your excellent question! 😊 Each method I share is tailored to different conditions and needs of orchids. You don’t need to use all the methods at once, as this could overwhelm the plant. Instead, choose one method that best suits your orchid's current condition and apply it consistently over some time to evaluate its effectiveness. If your orchid needs additional nutrients or faces other issues, you can consider switching to a different method. Observe your plant’s response and adjust accordingly! 🌸
Thank you so much for watching the video! 😊 I hope the orchid care tips are helpful for you. If you have any questions or need further guidance, feel free to share! Wishing you joy in caring for your orchids! 🌸
Thank you so much! 😊 I'm glad I could help. If you have any more questions, feel free to share anytime! Wishing you success in caring for your orchids! 🌸
Thank you for your question! This procedure is mainly used for orchids, but some techniques like trimming and caring for the cuttings can also help hydrangeas grow better. However, hydrangeas have different needs when it comes to humidity and light, so you might need to use a different method for them. If you have more questions about hydrangea care, feel free to ask!
Thank you for your question! 😊 You can use either Ceylon cinnamon or Cassia cinnamon, but Ceylon cinnamon is usually recommended because it contains less coumarin, making it safer for plants and the environment. If you can't find Ceylon cinnamon, Cassia can be a substitute, but use it in smaller amounts! 🌱

Typically, you should repot your orchids once every 1-2 years, depending on the plant's growth condition. When repotting, choose a well-draining mix like bark, sphagnum moss, and perlite to provide good airflow and drainage for the plant. Orchids do not like heavy soil, so avoid using mixes that retain too much moisture.

Hello, Thank you for visiting the channel from California, USA! 😊 I hope you find the videos helpful in caring for your orchids. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to leave a comment, I’m always here to help!
Thank you for watching from Iowa! 😊 To help your orchid grow more leaves, focus on a few key factors: Light: Provide enough light, but not direct sunlight, to avoid burning the leaves. Watering: Ensure regular watering, but don’t let the plant become too dry or too soggy. Fertilizer: Use a balanced fertilizer to give the plant the nutrients it needs to develop more leaves. Temperature and humidity: Orchids thrive in warm environments with high humidity, so make sure your growing space has these conditions. Wishing you success, and if you have any questions, feel free to share! 🌸
Thank you for your question! Terracotta pots have the advantage of being porous, allowing better water absorption and preventing overwatering, which is great for beginners or those in humid environments. On the other hand, plastic pots are lighter and retain moisture longer, making them suitable for drier climates or situations where the pots need frequent moving. The holes in the pots play a crucial role in providing proper aeration for the roots, allowing them to breathe better and preventing water buildup, which reduces the risk of root rot. For orchids, in particular, their roots need a well-ventilated environment to grow strong and healthy.
I totally understand how you feel! 😊 Cutting the spikes from your Phalaenopsis orchids is really a tough decision because we often get attached to those beautiful blooms. However, cutting the spent flower spikes helps the plant focus on growing its roots and leaves, allowing it to prepare for future blooms. If you don’t want to cut too early, you can wait until the spike starts turning yellow or drying up, but just make sure the plant doesn’t get exhausted. Let the plant grow at its natural pace. 🌸

Thank you so much for watching and supporting the channel from Texas, USA! 🇺🇸🌸 I’m so happy my videos are helpful to you. If you have any questions or need further guidance on orchids, feel free to share! ❤️
During the blooming period, there are several key things to focus on to ensure the orchid flowers beautifully and the plant stays healthy: Light: Make sure the orchid receives enough light, but not direct sunlight, as this can burn the leaves. Watering: Water moderately, ensuring the potting medium isn't too wet, as orchids like humidity but don't like to be waterlogged. Temperature: Keep the temperature stable and avoid sudden changes, especially during blooming. Fertilizing: You can fertilize every two weeks, but reduce the amount during blooming to avoid harming the flowers. Post-bloom care: After the flowers fade, you can trim the dry flower stalk if it's no longer alive. Reduce watering and fertilizing to allow the plant to recover after blooming. Proper care during and after blooming helps keep the orchid healthy and ready to bloom again in the future!
Neem oil is a natural and effective option for controlling pests on orchids. However, it should be diluted properly (usually 1-2ml of neem oil with 1 liter of water, plus a small amount of chemical-free liquid soap) and applied in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid leaf burn. Test it on a small part of the plant first to check for any reactions. If the plant shows no adverse effects after 24 hours, you can apply it to the entire plant. Good luck! 😊
Caring for Oncidium orchids is not too difficult, but there are a few key factors to consider for healthy growth and consistent blooming. Here are some tips: Light: Oncidium needs bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves, so it's best to keep them by a window with filtered light. Temperature: Oncidium thrives in temperatures between 18-29°C. Ensure the plant is not exposed to cold at night or excessive heat during the day. Watering: Water when the potting medium (like bark or moss) is nearly dry. Oncidium does not like to sit in water, so avoid overwatering. Always check the moisture level and water when needed. Humidity: Oncidium prefers humidity around 50-70%. You can increase humidity by misting lightly around the plant or placing it on a tray of pebbles with water. Fertilizing: Use a diluted orchid fertilizer (half strength) every two weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). In winter, reduce the fertilizing frequency. Repotting: Repot your Oncidium when it outgrows its current pot. This is best done in spring or after the flowers fade. Post-bloom care: After the flowers fade, you can cut the spent flower spike and continue to care for the plant as usual. Oncidium can rebloom from old stems. Hope this helps you take care of your Oncidium orchids! Let me know if you have any further questions. 😊
I like what you share in this video but is this also applicable to dendrobiums? The bought one but it has not bloomed at all and the leaves are dropping. I need your help. From Texas. Thanks.
Thank you for watching the video! 😊 The care methods I shared can be applied to most orchids, including dendrobiums. However, dendrobiums have some specific needs that you should keep in mind: Light: Dendrobiums need bright but indirect light. If they don't get enough light, they might not bloom, and their leaves could drop. Watering: Dendrobiums prefer the soil to dry out more than other types of orchids. Let the soil dry completely between waterings. Temperature and humidity: Ensure the temperature is around 18-25°C (65-77°F) and humidity around 50-60%. Also, dendrobiums need a dry resting period to trigger blooming. Fertilizing: Light fertilizing during the growing season will help encourage blooming. You could try using natural fertilizers like banana water. I hope these tips help you! 🌸
@ I did all that including banana water once a week. I placed my dendrobium out in the patio for 3 weeks and not watering for 2 weeks with indirect sun but it didn’t do them any good. The leaves tuned yellow and dropped. I took them inside again with lights on but not direct. I don’t know what else to do. Thanks for your advice.
Hello! 😊 If you have any questions about orchid care or need more tips to keep your orchids healthy, feel free to share with me! Wishing you thriving orchids and beautiful blooms! 🌸
Hello, Regarding the use of onions, you can use onions to make a natural fertilizer for orchids. However, it’s important to note that onions might not be as effective as other ingredients like bananas, apple peels, or potatoes because they contain certain compounds that could affect the pH of the soil. If you want to try, use a small amount and observe how your orchid reacts. Good luck and enjoy caring for your orchids!
You can place your orchids outside if the weather conditions are suitable, especially during the warmer months. However, avoid direct sunlight in the middle of the day as it can burn the leaves. Find a cool spot with shade or gentle light where the plant can thrive. If you live in an area with cold weather, it's better to keep them indoors or bring them inside when it's cold.
Thank you for your very interesting question! In the wild, orchids have the ability to adapt to their natural environment. They often grow on trees or rocks, absorbing nutrients from decomposing leaves, rainwater, and sunlight. These natural conditions provide the essentials for orchids to grow and bloom without human intervention. However, when we cultivate orchids in artificial environments, adding nutrients such as natural fertilizers (including onions and other ingredients) compensates for what they can't naturally access. This helps orchids grow better, stay healthier, and produce beautiful blooms.
🌸 Happy New Year 2025! 🌸

Is this effective for indoor orchids?

@@Happinessgarden666 I will give that a try. Thank you.

Would this procedure works for hortensias Thank you
Thank you for your question!
California USA I have one question does it need to be Ceylon cinnamon or cassia cinnamon

How often should you report and what kind of soil do you use.

How to get to grow more leaves, thanks from Iowa
Thank you for watching from Iowa! 😊 To help your orchid grow more leaves, focus on a few key factors:
Light: Provide enough light, but not direct sunlight, to avoid burning the leaves.
Do you advise terracotta pots over plastic pots, what is the purpose of holes all over the pot
@Happinessgarden666 i so want to learn more about orchids
Jamaica.. I would feel the pain of cutting spikes from my phals 😢p

During its blooming period, what care is required uring and after? Thank you.
During the blooming period, there are several key things to focus on to ensure the orchid flowers beautifully and the plant stays healthy:
Light: Make sure the orchid receives enough light, but not direct sunlight, as this can burn the leaves.
Is neem oil recommended to control pests on Orchid?
Neem oil is a natural and effective option for controlling pests on orchids. However, it should be diluted properly (usually 1-2ml of neem oil with 1 liter of water, plus a small amount of chemical-free liquid soap) and applied in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid leaf burn. Test it on a small part of the plant first to check for any reactions. If the plant shows no adverse effects after 24 hours, you can apply it to the entire plant. Good luck! 😊
Please, if you may share how to care for oncidium orchids TIA
Caring for Oncidium orchids is not too difficult, but there are a few key factors to consider for healthy growth and consistent blooming. Here are some tips:
Light: Oncidium needs bright, indirect light.
@Happinessgarden666 thank you so much 🙏🏼 💓
I like what you share in this video but is this also applicable to dendrobiums? The bought one but it has not bloomed at all and the leaves are dropping. I need your help. From Texas. Thanks.
Thank you for watching the video! 😊 The care methods I shared can be applied to most orchids, including dendrobiums. However, dendrobiums have some specific needs that you should keep in mind:
Light: Dendrobiums need bright but indirect light.

Can I use any type of onion?
Hello,
Regarding the use of onions, you can use onions to make a natural fertilizer for orchids.
Can i leave them outside? Where is the right place to jave them?
You can place your orchids outside if the weather conditions are suitable, especially during the warmer months. However, avoid direct sunlight in the middle of the day as it can burn the leaves. Find a cool spot with shade or gentle light where the plant can thrive. If you live in an area with cold weather, it's better to keep them indoors or bring them inside when it's cold.
Just wondering...question...how do wild orchids bloom without onions and the other ingredients you use?
Thank you for your very interesting question! In the wild, orchids have the ability to adapt to their natural environment. They often grow on trees or rocks, absorbing nutrients from decomposing leaves, rainwater, and sunlight. These natural conditions provide the essentials for orchids to grow and bloom without human intervention.
However, when we cultivate orchids in artificial environments, adding nutrients such as natural fertilizers (including onions and other ingredients) compensates for what they can't naturally access. This helps orchids grow better, stay healthier, and produce beautiful blooms.
