Great to see that you are making progress with your knife.
    For your fusion problem:
Fusion recently introduced proper rest machining, this allows you to automatically use the result of op1 as stock in op2.
They need to be in the correct order and OP1 needs be correctly generated, then it works really great for me.
For the moment it’s a preview feature that you might need to have to enable manually (Its called “Continue Rest Machining for Milling”)
This made my life soooo much easier with multi sided operations.

You are my hero! This is something I can figure out with Google. Thanks for pointing out!

@@yesealex its really very straight forward. you get a new option in the stock setup, instead of fixed size you select from previous setup and you are good to go. basically you just need to set your correct origin, which I assume you get from your fixture plate, if you have this already in the same fusion file you are good to go.

Make sure to select all setups when running the CAM simulation to see the effects of multiple setups. Otherwise - at least for me - it will not properly show how the stock was affected by the previous setups. This caused me some frustration before finding the solution in the Autodesk forums.
Would also recommend to enable in process stock display in case you're not using it yet. Mechanical Advantage have a useful video on this on their channel.

Your videos are very inspiring. I too have an X7-20 and love MPG mode to step through code. With new programs I like to change Z in the work offset (usually around +120mm) to hover above, then step through with MPG mode to make sure there is no crazy plunging or movements that could crash my machine. Anyways, thanks for another awesome video!

Are you planning on doing ball-nose finishing on the knifes?
Also regarding the stock file thing, im using that feature quite often and am not having any problems, if you need help troubleshooting it just ask :)
I think you are doing great with the titanium and with what little experience i have with it from work, i know its just realy slow...
    Keep it up!

Nicely done! I myself have a small CNC shop in Sweden (HAAS VF2 YT with 5th axis) and currently designing a folder knife that I am planning to make. Hoping to one day run small production of premium folders. Lets se how that plays out :D Anyway wish you luck with your endeavours; the knife looks great.

Thank you! Your plan sounds nice as well, I secretly want to do a folder sometime. But first a few more oyster products!

Are you about to refine the finishing op. as those stepovers still look quite rough and therefore kinda still having a lot of potential to make them lots finer or run cross toolpath with some ballnose cutter & much finer stepovers...
Otherwise it's a great video and thank you for sharing your journey!
Keep up the great work 👍

I'm still debating if I want to do that. I have the idea to anodize a bright colour and then tumble. I hope the stones don't reach the inside of the stepover line. This would then give colour lines like a topographical map and that would be awesome 👌

    Great video man.
Machine looks great ! I can imagine the poo pants moments !
inTheres a hoffman group engineering shop close to me.
    They are expensive but:
    1. everything is quality
    2. They usually have it on the shelf !

Yeah I really like them. Order it and it arrives the next day is amazing. I had 2 times where there was a job shop job on Thursday and I was making chips with new tooling on Saturday 7 am!
