Definitely a memorable legend and we'll never forget him. There're some fools who can talk about the personality of Obradovic in Turkey, can you believe that? They should only keep watch to Obradovic, perhaps can learn something from him.
There are fools everywhere. In Serbia, Red Star/Crvena zvezda fans say that he won all those titles just because he had good teams and big budget. We all saw what happened to Barca this season, or to CSKA in the early 2010's, when they had Kirilenko, Teodosić, Krstić, Weems, Kaun, De Colo, etc...

If we're honest with ourselves we have to say that the average south Slav (I guess minus Bulgarian) is better than the average American at Basket. there are a lot more big american players but that's because There are 300m Americans and 28 million ex-yugoslav (Serbs, Croats, Slovenes, Montenegrins, Bosnians)

U cilju zataškivanja tog menjanja imena KK Radnički iz Novog Sada je promenio imd u KK FMP tako d deluje da postoje i Crvena Zvezda i FMP ali to nema veze s mozgom... Najbolji dokaz da niste Crvena Zvezda je taj što su Dula Vujoševića tužile KK Crvena Zvezda Beograd(ugašena ili ti zamrznuta) i KK Crvena Zvezda Telekom(čitaj FMP ŽELEZNIK)! Mora da vam je Krcun osnivač rekao da smo mi iz Zagreba?!

Genijalac... Maljković je stvorio najveći košarkaški tim što ga je Europa ikada vidjela...a Obradović je stvarao prvake gdje god bi došao...čovjek - karakter ....
I obojici je mentor bio Profesor Aleksandar Nikolić - otac jugoslovenske košarke. Željko zahteva od igrača najsitnije detalje i konstantno im puni glavu novim informacijama, to je sveska u koju zapisuje, šta koji igrač greši.
Tako pravi selekciju. Igrači koji nisu u stanju da prime informacije, koji rade napamet, ne razmišljaju, oni otpadaju.
Oni koji nisu u stanju početne kretnje da ukapiraju, zapamte, kako će kasnije da prime informacije.
To uopšte nije lako za igrače, traži konstantnu prisutnost, ne samo na treningu, već i van treninga.
Veoma naporno, pre svega za psihu.
Indentično kao što je radio pokojni Profa, takav je i Dule i Boža.
To toliko iscrpljuje, da kad odmaraš sanjaš kretnje i šta treba da uradiš (bukvalno, ne zezazm se).

its all about master and the disciples. Disciple is someone committed to the mission and work of the Master. Master is a great leader who not only loves and cares but also teaches the disciples and corrects them in every little detail time and time again until they refine each imperfection and master the techniques and the game plan. Only master and discipleship model can bring long series of victories and trophies. Put together bunch of stars, who think they are bigger than the team, the Club or the Coach it will not last long. I see a master in Obra and disciples in Fenerbahce men's basketball team players. Of Course BIG thanks goes to none other than Mr Aziz Yıldırım for dedicating his life to my beloved SPORTS CLUB FENERBAHCE

Obradovic has been the brightest basketball mind in Europe since he started coaching, that’s for sure. Therefore I really wonder that which player he worked with gave him the best suggestions about the game when he had asked. I really am curious about whose sight of the game he likes the most among the players he has worked with.

+Boran Yalcin If he coach in NBA i think he would raise their level of knowless about this game that they dominate. But he never will go there because in NBA thera are so many games as training, and his key point philosophy is hard working in trainings.
He had an opportunity for NBA. But he was so proud, that he rejected their invitation for an interview. He said that they know who he is and what it is, and there is no reason for him to go on some 'interviews' . I think his english is not sufficient for NBA, and he is to energetic for that different universe. His mentality is too much European.
@@mmajst0r NBA is not yet open for European coaches, just like it wasn't open for players for years. Ettore Messina is a fantastic coach, but he didn't get a chance to work as a head coach. Messina's former assistant at CSKA, Quin Snyder, on the other hand works as a head coach of Utah Jazz for the last 7 years. Obradović said numerous times that he's confident that European coaches are good enough to work in the NBA. Gregg Popovich praised Željko several times and even admitted that he's stealing some of his plays.

You mean, Partizan made him. He played in Partizan for 7 years and started his coaching career at Partizan under tutelage of Professor Aleksandar Nikolić. It was in Partizan where he won his first Euroleague, when he had just 2 great (Aleksandar Djordjević and young Sasha Danilović) and 10 average players. Panathinaikos had the best backcourt in Europe, with Šaras, Spanoulis, Diamantidis, plus Batiste, Peković, Fotsis, Tsartsaris, etc... When he won his first two EL with PAO, he had Bodiroga, Alvertis, Rebrača, Kattash, Nando Gentile, Kutluay, Mulaomerović...
Before he came to Panathinaikos he won with Partizan, Jobentud and Real Madrid
