In grade 7 at my Catholic school we all got to pick someone to do a Biography on. I picked Nelson Mandela and wrote about his involvement in Umkhonto we Sizwe and the Pretorian church street bombings resulting in 19 deaths as well as his wife which used to burn people alive. Because the school was catholic and Mandela had been painted as a "Saint" I was suspended from school for 3 days and my parent's were called into the office to speak with the principle.
