@@andreimihaesiOnly geographically is Balkan. The Greek majority identifies with South Europe, countries like Italy and Spain. Greece has more in common with Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Malta than with Albania, Bulgaria and other countries of the Balkans.
There are cultural and also historical differences that separate Greece from Balkans. For example:
1) unlike most of Balkans, Greece never became a Slavic country
2) Many parts of Greece that never became ottoman, were either under venetian, French or independent.
3) During the cold War, Greece joined the West, meanwhile Balkans joined Communistic Europe.

I would like to know Romania especially Bucharest and Transylvania. I think Romania is a beautiful and mysterious country to discover and Romanians seem like nice, friendly and kind people. I admired (and suffered) the Romanian soccer team in Italy '90 and USA 1994, especially George Hagi, the Maradona of the Carpathians who was a great great football player. Greetings from an Argentine who really likes your beautiful country!!!
I will continue in english if you don't mind, because like i mentioned, i write more slowly in spanish, since i'm out of practice. My brother-in-law's name is Sebastian as well :) Reading your description of Argentina makes me want to visit it even sooner. Colombia is also a great recommendation and thank you! I love South American continent as we have a lot in common with you as people. We are the same warm blooded people, open minded, not to mention the latin aspect. Regarding the football yes, Romania's peak as a national team was in SUA '94 and France '98. Raducioiu and Hagi were a fantastic duo, very similar to Caniggia and Maradona. I will never ever, forget that fantastic Maradona incursion in 1990, between the brazilian players and then passing it over to Caniggia to score! I remember i jumped out of my seat and screamed! It's too bad that in the 1994 game between Argentina and Romania, Maradona did not get to play, it would have been fantastic to see him on the pitch. With regards to that game, that victory (which happened at about 2 in the morning our time) got all the country on the streets in the middle of the night because of the joy. I have never seen something like that since then here. That team made us so happy, it's unbelievable. Regarding 1998, i think i loved Argentina's team then even more, with Batistuta, Lopez, Ayala, Veron, Simeone, Zanetti, Crespo even Ortega who had so much talent. It's a shame he did not capitalize that (If i remember right, he was seen as the next Maradona back then). You would have beaten us in 1998 i think because that Romania team was slowly coming out of their peak even though they were still very solid. Poiana Hoia Baciu is a strange forest near Cluj Napoca indeed. Some friends of mine spent a night in that forest, and they swear they will never set foot there again. They heard all kinds of strange sounds, unnatural sounds all through the night and they did not sleep a wink :)) It is a strange place where a lot of paranormal activities have been spotted and heard. For the majority, we here in Romania are pretty much as you see in this video, opened and warm people. All of these videos show the reality, which is: the people are great for the most part everywhere, it's just the politics and politicians who are the only idiots anywhere. Merry Christmas to you too, happy New Year and thank you again for all your kind words. You really made my day, sir! PS: there is a fantastic documentary on Netflix about Romania, it's called Flavours of Romania. th-cam.com/video/D0ssoghiy7s/w-d-xo.html You can check it out if you want, as it has several episodes and each episode deals with each historic region of the country. Once again i wish you happy holidays and may you enjoy them with all your loved ones. Stay safe and a warm hug from Brasov, Romania!
@@andreim.5324 Thank you very much for your recommendation, I am going to look at the program that you recommended me (In case you are interested, on Netflix you can see a series of 6 chapters on street food in Latin America. The first chapter is dedicated to Buenos Aires and fifth chapter is dedicated to Bogota, Colombia). Here in Argentina (especially in Buenos Aires), we are totally mad but there are nice people and they will treat you as 10. Likewise and as I said previously, the country is huge, with 23 provinces plus an autonomous city (Buenos Aires), and therefore, the people are very different in each place, as are the foods and landscapes. The food is really good, particularly the pizzas, milanesas and the asado (or barbecue). Unfortunately we have a problem similar to that of Romania, since politicians are shit and they have been sinking us for more than four decades. Even so, we are fighting to get ahead even though it is increasingly difficult. In the country there is a small community of Romanian immigrants since the early twentieth century (Romanian Jews and non-Jews and gypsies too), and several "Argentine" characters were born in Romania: a philosopher named Tomas Abraham was born in Timisoara, a journalist named Bernardo Neustad was born in Bucharest and a former president of the nation (Julio Roca) had a Romanian mistress at the time of his death in 1914. The Romanian community in Argentina, despite being small, has contributed, along with millions of immigrants of other nationalities, to build this country. In addition, I know the case of an Argentine professor, descendant of Romanians, who teaches the language of your country at the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires. I am very interested in Romanian history during the communist period (I hope it does not bother my comment because surely most of Romanians must hate that time) and even today I remember when I was a child and on Argentine TV they showed on the news, the shooting of Nicolae and Elena Ceausesce in 1989 (in addition, Nicolae was decorated by President Juan Perón, in 1974, with the Order of the Liberator General San Martín during his visit to Argentina). Separate paragraph deserve Argentine women who are really beautiful (although I like Colombian women more). Anyway, here we are in summer, it is very hot, people take very little care of the pandemic and I suppose that in a few months we will be screwed with this issue. I know that in Romania you are in the middle of winter and I hope you do not suffer what most of the peoples of Western Europe are suffering right now. I send you a big hug and my best wishes to the brave Romanian people !!!!! (if some things are not understood, it is because of the Google translator haha)

Actually Greece is a Mediterranean country, not Balkan.
And the reasons are some historical and cultural differences that separate Greece from Balkans.

Moreover, I adore Japan because 日本語が大好きなんだ。(I love japanese). Tambem gosto muito a lingua portuguêsa, Portugal i Brasil ❤️. Every country has its own particularities and they are beautyfull in their own ways. So spread love all over the places and stop the hate and drama ❤️🤍❤️
@@eddiewrathchild2016 ya, ya, ya. Bulgarian ar not slavs, romanian are not latin and so on... I've already heard that before.
@@cosmina.m.7570 even bulgarians themselves say that they are not slavs....and yes, romanians are not latin, they are, guess what, surprise surprise the SLAVS
@@eddiewrathchild2016 What...? We are Slavs and we all know that. I don't know who told you that, but... Literally every Bulgarian I know thinks we're Slavs, myself included. I'll quote a person: "We are Slavs. Yeah, we're a bit of a mixed grill, but hey, at least linguistically, we're Slavs". We have some ancestry from the Seven Slavic Tribes. Most of our ancestry is Slavic, Thracian... If we're not Slavic, what are we?
Love Romania from Turkey
