I'm not a sports guy, at ALL. I started watching for one reason, Caitlin Clark. The season ended, so I thought I'd look at the NBA. I tried, and tried, and whatever was there in the Fever games (not wnba games) (Caitlin to be exact) just wasn't there in the NBA. I even googled for the best passer, and watched their games and was underwhelmed. And it's weird, you bring up the 3 point glut in the NBA, and I totally agree, boooring. And yet 3 pointers in the wnba have pizazz. Understandable as far as Caitlin's logo 3's, but Kelsey and lexie's are gratifying also, and not anywhere near the logo. So color me confused, and resign myself to wait until May, for the "new and improved" Fever. I expect great things from them.
I also checked the NBA. There was no excitement anywhere to be seen in the court. There is no zeal.. I see millionaires passing the ball. Did see air balls. lots of misses. crowd was asleep. Felt like a sleepover.

MLB plays 162 games not including playoffs, NBA plays 82 games not including playoffs and NHL not sure of how much they play but they also have hockey tournaments and the WNBA is going to be playing 44 games and thats alot. Am I miss something. Men's sports play way more games and endure risk of long term injuries and 44 games is too much. The WNBA is not in a position to give demands. They need to profit do their job and stop complaining.
The other leagues make a hella lot more money. As the W adds teams, means more games, less money. Usually you would think more games get a reasonable raise.
2026 is not going to be a banner year if the cba talks founder in unrealistic demands and owner intransigence over them. I really hope cooler heads prevail, and that both sides do their best to meet somewhere in the middle that both sides can accept, if not with good cheer, at least not actively hating life.
I agree that some of these players think they are entitled to complain. 40 games isn’t too much for someone making the money they make right now, let alone after a raise. Also with added teammates, they will play less minutes and be paid more? There is something wrong with that picture. Granted the rookies make less than 6 figures a year currently but will hopefully make more in the future. High school basketball plays more than 20 games per season, college also plays more than 20 games per year, and for no pay. Play your 40 games, get additional players, play less minutess, be happy to have this opportunity.
I think they carry too many players on each team in the W. They don't have enough basketballs on the teams already on each team. Every player on each team wants the basketball in their hands right now so if you cut back to 10 players on each team more players would get more time to touch the ball.
Mitchell and Smith from the fever are playing in China because they're getting paid more than a million dollars for 40 games compared to like maybe $90,000 for 40 games for Smith this past season. That's a big big difference. I think if Clark was playing over there in Siberia or China I think should be making 5 to 10 million salary for 40 freaking games. Remember Caitlin's self-proclaimed basketball parents Sue bird and Diana Taurasi played for 10 years in Siberia and made who knows how many millions of dollars. You ask why would two lesbians go play in freezing in the freaking winter Russia for 10 years? Money money money my friend. Lots of money I bet each of them made over 20 million dollars for 10 years of playing in Novosibirsk. The women in the WNBA were dragging at the end of a 40-game season why are they going to 44? That is just insanity. I would like to see more roster spots for the ladies. But you're not going to stop most of them for going and playing in Europe or Asia if they can make 10 times the money there for 40 games than they do in the WNBA.
Until someone shows me proof of Nalyssa Smith making 1m or more in China, I will not believe it. I need to see that on paper, not a random video or post online.

With 15 players it’s also cuts into the salary cap pretty good too. If they keep all draft picks, that’s approximately 200k, before the new CBA.

No new teams you dont have good enough players to fill the spots...But u should have 15 players each on 12 teams...
additional 3 players per team x 13 is 39 players to be added in the rosters .This will.allow players who finish their 4 years college to play in WNBA
