My family is from Vallejo and I was raised in American Canyon! The ruins were a big part of my teen years! We used to grab nurf guns and play. The wetlands are my second home. And the ruins were featured in the Netflix series: 13 Reasons Why. Amazing city 🥰
Most people in the inner Bay Area have absolutely no idea where American Canyon is. Having lived here for almost 8 years I can tell you it's a wonderfully nice relaxed community. It's also incredibly diverse. The town was incorporated in 1992 and has grown tremendously-but not to the point of it ever feeling crowded. It's basically the last town that connects to Bay Area suburbia on the north-east side of the Bay Area.
This small city has been a hidden gem in so many ways. It has a small town feels, where people look out for each other, while being in close to all the major conveniences. LOVE raising our kids here.
My Wife & I bought our 1st home together here in 2000. Moved to Vallejo in 2004 then returned earlier this year of all things. Never even seen this before. Learned about brewery. Majority of the other trivia I am aware of. Only issue I honestly have is the traffic along Highway 29. That really needs to be addressed. Minus that yes American Canyon still has quite a small town feel. Neighbors do look out for each other here.
24:10 omg everytime I’m going to Napa I always see that reasturaunt and i always ask my mom what’s that and if we could go there. I’m definitely going to try that food out
DORA GAMING sadly I moved to Az and I can’t go there but I visit my aunt/Tia and she lives in Napa we lived in a house and I keep on dreaming that I don’t make my bed and still has the closet opened and my clothes were still in there that made me so sad
I thought it’s because of the stream that starts from the east hills between the high way. It’s pretty much like a canyon from the freeway exit lol kind of
American Canyon (the Canyon) is the canyon one drives through when coming off the American Canyon exit from Interstate 80. When the canyon ends-the city of American Canyon begins. Ironic and confusing but that's the deal.
