Full demo and test of the FeelTech FY6600 function generator. I really REALLY love this product. It works perfectly and takes up virtually no space on the bench. You an generate pretty much any signal you could need to test a project or circuit. Ive already been using it to simulate sensor input on my Arduino projects.

You buy a 25 MHz AWG and demo it at 10 KHz?????? A 555 timer can output 10 KHz. How does it perform at it's maximum frequencies?
@@alfa-psi not bad, I got another version Fy6900 60mhz 74USD incl. shipping from one of these China EU warehouses.
and it ain't bad at higher frequencies as long as you have the price in mind, and I would reckon the 25mhz would have no scruples up to 25mhz.
My 60mhz unit, are keeping loyal amplitude up around 40 to 45mhz on sine, above 45 to 60mhz, it goes from 5div to 3.8div.

Things I'd test based on faults I discovered in my cheap generator:
- the output is "stepped" if you can "zoom in" into a slow signal. Like lowest range on the scope and look at a max Vp-p sawtooth or triangle. (normal, it's just how big the steps are?)
- the sweep function is useless. Log would be nice for FFT, but it's broken. It does go through the range but it's not log.
- if you change the sweep range while sweeping, it can go out of range and do funny things before wrapping around
- Sure enough, you can see the jitter on a delayed scope trace which should correspond to the sampling rate. Does it?
- the TTL outputs have better square wave, but how good is it?
When it is set in measuring mode....is it also measuring the ac voltage of the signal or just the hz frequency? Does anyone know?
Can one make a composite waveform by adding sine wave frequencies within the device's bandwidth, from the PC software provided with this device?
I got the 30 mhz and it works great. Not bad for 100.00. No complaints so far.
I'm a new to function generators and scopes. These vids are good if you just want to connect your generator to a scope and look at the same signal all day. But it would be a good idea if you showed us how to use it on a real circuit, more helpful I would have thought.

I would not recommend using anything not certified for use on your body. Good way to end up in trouble

were you able to hear the 10kHz?
The audio is compressed and normalized to -6db overall so your ears really shouldn't bleed :)

I'm looking to measure a 250 mV peak to peak signal and none of these inexpensive generator/measurement units seem to go that low. There input range for measurement is 2 to 20v peak to peak. I'm saying all this hoping that I've read the specs wrong and that you can actually measure frequency in that low a voltage range?
Why wouldn't you get a scope then?

I love it, it's 3 times cheaper as a Sigilent frequency generator.
While you were saying "I really, really like it ..." I kept thinking I hate the constant beeping.
Tell me pleaae, how and when to use this or any other for that matter waveform generator in real electronics practice. I often see people review these and connect them to the scope but I've never seen anyone applying it in their practice. I get a feeling people buy them just because others review them and say how nice they are. Well, they are real nice but how and when do you use it in what projects? Please give me a few examples apart from connecting it to the scope.
Most commonly I use it for simulating a sensor signal or input in to a project to test the code reaction for X situation. Allows you to debug code without having to fight tricking the actual sensor hardware. Theres nearly a thousand videos here- surely you can get an idea
I tried to install the software.
However, it couldn't work.
I bought the FY6800-60Mhz.
The machine itself looks fine. But the software is headache.
When I installed it, the characters displayed on the prompt outbox was a mess.
I think this was due to the Chinese character.
I hope FeelTech will build another pure English version of software
see if 5 MHZ sq wave looks like sine
