Love your content because you're not afraid to confront harsh realities and bitter truths. A lot of conservatives online tend to be overly optimistic and not considerate of historical factors.
I guess I'm kinda in that "weird" camp where I'm both extremely optimistic about the next 4 years, yet am also keeping my expectations in check and reserved. Part of that may just be cynicism on my end (after all, it feels like this is the first time in a VERY long while in which there is genuine hope for the U.S. and that the Overton window is finally starting to tilt in the other direction), being that I'm so used to disappointment and very little if anything changing for the better to where I've almost come to expect it no matter who is president. But there's also a part of me that also is truly just skeptical of how much the GOP and even Trump himself are real. Obama's phrase about Biden, "Don't underestimate his ability to f*** things up" can just as easily apply to Republicans, and we've seen in the past that they're very good at taking a great thing they have and letting it go to waste. So ultimately while I have high hopes for a second Trump term and it seems like nature is healing, it's still up to time to tell.

Our son had me listen to Jordan Peterson talk about the online theft from old people. My opinion was he talked for half an hour without saying anything, since they want to lower taxes they cannot support police going after the scumbags, and it is all a bunch of hot air.
I think the portion of policy that will most likely fail is protectionism. For tariffs, the problems are as follows. A) Local manufacturing is EXPENSIVE to the ppint that it's not worth it (partially because of regulations). B) There are not many unemployed Americans. We have a 4.2% unemployment rate, and because it's just a short time (4 years) for a large increase in tariff rates, it sucks.
Also, tariffs because of illegal immigrants and drug trafficking is not the best way to solve this problem. You should've just stopped at the military and the border wall.
Finally, does America want to be surrounded by Chinese proxies (Canada and Mexico) like Russia is surrounded by NATO? I think not. Just enforce tariffs on bad countries like China, but maintain free trade with friendly countries while also support policies that promote local maufacturing like tax cuts for businesses that establish manufacturing plants at home.
But what is that? He has never said what that is. Is it an empire of Greenland, the US and Panama, and Canada as the 51st state? Or, maybe it just means putting Liz Cheney in jail? Do you know? Because I sure don’t and I suspect, neither does he.
We did big tariffs on China before it wasn’t devastating. And prices eventually went down, it don’t went back to normal price but still went down. Overall all taxation is tax on the consumer
He kind of isn't, though. The only reason he didn't win the 2016 primary was due to shitty practices by Hillary, but he was otherwise, well, still part of the party. Like, Trump is part of the Republican party in this timeline, but there is a timeline where he just loses the 2016 primary for being too far-right.
I don't think that tariffs being okay because they will offset income taxes will fly with voters for one simple reason. Voters hate seeing the number on prices go up. In Canada, there is a Carbon Tax which applies to things like gasoline, natural gas, etc. The Government takes all the money it collects in these taxes and returns it to people with big cheques, the rationale being you get a stronger return the less you pollute. Many people (not everyone) get more in the rebates than they pay in taxes. Despite this, it's very unpopular, simply because a politician can point to a sign with gas prices and blame it on the Government. People want number go down. That's it.
Definitely seeing new deal level change. To me protection means not letting mega corporations fail, but I shall assume you mean not letting American corporations fail.
Please do a video on what Trump has said about Panama and Canada. That needs clearing up desperately and people should know what to expect when they come up in conversation again Cheers from Canada(For now???)
On a side tangent, Trump managing to negotiate prices broadly for Medicare/Medicaid could be a more impactful cost reduction than Doge going on a random firing spree.
I think one rhetoric from trump is an interesting prospect, he said us and china work together can solve any problem. And indeed form an economical point of view a Chinese alliance would make the perfect sense. It’s also important to bring the Chinese on board to end the war in Ukraine. But given the ever more hawkish stance towards china at the capital hill, I think this is very unlikely, if not impossible

I am very hopeful of the next 4 years and also incredibly wary. The Trump coalition looks amazing and seems capable of really helping the American people. But I have never trusted the govt to do anything right. Also Trump and Elon both have histories of over-promising, especially on deadlines. Idk if Trump can implement "change" in only a year or two, and the DC monster will not make it easy for them.
@JoelLessing yeah, Elon-time is always way ahead of schedule. I believe it is a tactic to make his workforce push harder to try and meet ludicrous deadlines. Not a fan of that. However he never seems to be causing any repercussions for not meeting them, once he sees where the project is at he adjusts accordingly. Hard to argue with his results tho. Starship has had 7 flights. Calling them successful depends on your interpretation. The program is still in the prototyping phase and likely will be for at least 2 more years. However Starship successfully made it to space 4 or 5 times. The Booster was caught only once, out of 2 attempts. So it can fly, has flown, and has returned to the launch pad. None of which was ever capable before by a rocket this size. SpaceX colonizing Mars seems like a pipe dream and I don't know if it will work or would be worth the effort. However Starship will allow humanity to explore the solar system like never before and at least makes colonizing our little red neighbor a "possibility."
There is no such think as an underfunded government agency in the U.S. Anyone that’s worked in government knows the saying use it or loose it. Every August-September everyone needs a new everything but 3 instead of 1 so that next physical year they get a larger budget
The stock market and economy did very well under Biden. Unfortunately inflation led by low interest rates for too long set by the Federal Reserve (out of Biden's control) was what made the Democrat's lose (and also Biden's old ass refusing to step down in like, 2022).
I think we will see a 100% inflation rate if he does indeed do all the tariffs he promises. It would be a wheelbarrow of money type scenario similar to the Weimar Republic. But that may be the plan. The wealthy will benefit the most. That is all that matters.
With Chinese goods there is an advanced, high-tech sector that has similar quality to a lot of Western goods. For example, social media with ByteDance, gimbals & drones with DJI. As a direct McKinley defendant, my only hesitation with Trump has ever been his inaction on restoring our name to Mt. McKinley. My love for him is now (will be) complete.
My idea for American Neo-Confederalism is this. 1. Establish natural state borders as proposed by Utahism. 2. Reform the Electoral College to promote a more proportional representation. 3. Amend the current Constitution or establish a new one to restore the positive aspects of the Articles of Confederation ignored by the Hamiltonians and to better secure states’ rights, including the retention of administrative powers over welfare and taxation and the right to secede should they see the Union as unfair. The confederal government may collect taxes from member states, but not directly from the people. 4. Abolish Dillon’s rule in favor of home rule to grant localities of the state semi-autonomy. 5. Abolish the Federal Reserve and return to the gold or bimetal standard. They are influenced by paleoconservatism, paleolibertarianism, Swiss confederalism, Jeffersonianism, Jacksonianism, and Reaganism.

Like any decentralizing proposal or integrity enforcing idea, it'll never happen. The federal government shouldn't be directly involved in the citizen's lives (like with the progressive income tax), so the actual way it should fund a modern state is through charges on the member states or taxes on core things that directly relate to its authority (such as a land value tax on the land it is protecting as its territory or tariffs or material coming in or out of its territory). Good idea, we ought to do that. Thanks for the advice!
@@sirwannabeguy4886I mean you already kind of do that. Just look at any policy failure in 2017-2021 - it's always just blamed on the "fAkE nEwS" or "LibErAlS" in one way or another.

Mann, this is my favourite TH-cam channel now. Love it 😘.
As a conservative we can only hope and try to remain optimistic that Trump's second term will be as successful and positively transformative as we all are hoping it will be, both because the U.S. desperately needs a revival with the current direction it's going in, and also because we don't want MAGA to just be relegated to a footnote of history and a small nugget of hope in an otherwise dismal and hopeless world! May Trump be able to avoid as much setback and failure as possible!!! 🙏

I definitely want to see a video about Trump realizing an America that incorporates Canada, Greenland, and possibly integrating a few other territories as states.
Things are inefficient by design mostly because we have endless resources and have to give money away tocover everyone.
I suggest merging Trump's territorial ambitions and the best case scenario video for that extra thick bird and stone sandwich.
can someone count how many times he said "worst case scenario"

....okay 1) what blunt are you smoking and 2) can I have some of it?
He did, he fired 80percent of the employees without impacting the running of it, all the issue he had/has with Twitter were not related to employee numbers, it's mostly ads and pushback against his person/ direction of twitter

Love your videos been falling a long time I have used you for my political science classes but one thing I want to say is I was the third like and I love just watching the likes hang up one right after another
Our son had me listen to Jordan Peterson talk about the online theft from old people.
Just enforce tariffs on bad countries like China, but maintain free trade with friendly countries while also support policies that promote local maufacturing like tax cuts for businesses that establish manufacturing plants at home.
neo-imperialism abroad combined with neo-isolation and a Know-Nothing attitude at home would be a freaking disaster.
Now let's go. What if Trump gets everything he wants done for America.
He won't highly unlikely. Realistically just 50%
But what is that? He has never said what that is. Is it an empire of Greenland, the US and Panama, and Canada as the 51st state? Or, maybe it just means putting Liz Cheney in jail? Do you know? Because I sure don’t and I suspect, neither does he.
6:19 Big Tariffs on China will not be devastating , Big Tariffs on Mexico will not be devastating
But Big Tariffs on both will be
We did big tariffs on China before it wasn’t devastating. And prices eventually went down, it don’t went back to normal price but still went down.
Overall all taxation is tax on the consumer
Love your videos. I like that you show the cons and pros ❤
4:09 😂😂😂 that’s not going to happen no offense. Bernie is too far left for the democrats, that’s why he’s an independent.
Bernie Sanders voting with the GOP?? That's a good one!
There is overlap here and there, though.

I really do not think a bunch of billionaires are set on helping the average folk.
Didn’t musk plan a colony on Mars by next year or the year after? Because those ships have not yet even done an orbital test flight.
Literally everyone in comment sections on Twitter and Instagram are objectively wrong about trump
There is no such think as an underfunded government agency in the U.S. Anyone that’s worked in government knows the saying use it or loose it. Every August-September everyone needs a new everything but 3 instead of 1 so that next physical year they get a larger budget
Too much hedging, dear god. If this is a worst case scenario video then great, just run with that.
Would love a vid on expanding the empire.
We just had a full 4 years of everything going wrong for Sleepy Joe.
The stock market and economy did very well under Biden. Unfortunately inflation led by low interest rates for too long set by the Federal Reserve (out of Biden's control) was what made the Democrat's lose (and also Biden's old ass refusing to step down in like, 2022).
BTW, put instead of Trump some democratic candidate and this scenario is no longer the worst-case scenario

And also, a lot of American designed products are manufactured in China, like most iPhones and Bibles (over half the world’s Bibles are printed in China).
It would be a great idea to make a video about if everything goes right and how do you think this administration is going to be

9:38 Damn, Trump gave out Hands outs eh? guess it’s okay when republican do it, lol.
yes

Get rid of income tax? Are you insane?
How are you going to fund the government? Selling gold sneakers?
Hopefully we don’t fund the government at all. The income tax will never be abolished, so don’t even worry about that kind of rhetoric.
Getting rid of income tax is the first step to corporate dystopia... The final form of what Reagan started.
Don't worry though, nothing ever changes, we will continue on the exact same trajectory as the we were decades ago, just the characters and details of the story are going to feel more ad libbed again.
The U.S. government survived without an income tax for well over a century. We could do it again.
