I am raising a citrus swallowtail and th3 worm turned into a chrysalis just yesterday... it seems dried up today.... is there any problem with it? Or is this how the process is done? Online it was said that it would dry up and shed its old skin within 1 or 2 days and then its outer skin will get harder... but i am not sure if this will look this dried up... do you jav any suggestions?

Last year i was not aware of it, so i killed most of the larva thinking that they will destroy my lemon plant but later i learnt that they larva, i felt very sorry for my behavior and this year i am letting them growing on my lemon plant
Mine also was same reaction when I saw them first time but I didn't killed them 😊 then I thought it could be caterpillar so I kept watching, next day I saw 3 more but in different colours then it confirmed that it was caterpillars only. I shot the entire life cycle video of Common Mormon Butterfly also last year.

hello! thank you for this video! if you don't mind, i would like to ask a question. i found these caterpillars in my garden on a lemon tree. they are currently at the last stage of larva. i want to know whether they will eat a lot of the lemon tree's leaves because it is still a small plant and my mother is concerned about them destroying all the leaves. thank you again!
Please don't worry, nothing will happen to the plant it will grow again. How many caterpillars are there? And how many leaves are left?

I would like to ask if the gender of butterfly can be determined from the color of pupae? I saw both green pupae and light brown pupae forming on my lime plant.
No, I don't think so, but some times pupa colours are different like you said light green and brown, most of the time it's lite green only till one or two days befor the emerging, pupa in light brown is rarely happens. Out of 25 I have spotted only one light brown pupa in my balcony. I will check what gender of butterfly emerged from that light brown pupa and let you know.

I have 3 of them in our garden and currently they have eaten all of the calamansi leaves. I'd like to know what other plants do they eat?
1. Try to find the same plant then cut the leaves and feed them. 2. Try to feed lime plant leaves, sweet lime or orange plant leaves or curry leaves. These three plants are host plant.

They eat for 20 days, if the leaves are less than take it from other same plant, and then keep it on your plant. On which plant they are?

Hey kua hum lime Butterfly ko koi or plant ki leaves khila sakte because my lime plant is very small it has only 10-15 leaves and there is 2 larvae i don't think so its enough for them to grow i want to save them but i don't know how?
It's host plant is lime only, so.. they don't eat other plat leaves, try to keep just leaves from other lime plant for feeding. Or you can shift them to another lime plant where there are more leaves.

Hi ..its been almost two days since caterpillar turned into pupa ..its hard n not moving ..green in color
Yes... wait for 8 more days, on 10th day it will come out from the pupa. Before that pupa will turn in to translucent, you can see the pattern of the butterfly. Enjoy the magic of the nature.

My caterpillars Turned green but then they weren't eating that much and were decreasing in size and they're not moving that much neither they're eating too much they're not much active and aren't turning into cacon it's like they got contrasted they're getting small plzz tell me any solution I'm afraid they'll die 🥺🥺
How long before it turned green?
After becoming green, it eats for 5 days, on the 5th day it withdraws green liquid and start to shrink, then it stops eating and starts finding a safe place to become a pupa. It hangs itself with a silk thread and becomes a pupa.

Mine isn't eating i think its about 14 days old
It must be still in black-brown colour... right? 14 days happened means it will now molt to green caterpillar, in this stage it will not eat for entire day or so.... keep watching you will be witnessed amazing transformation.

मेरे नींबू के पत्ते पर भी अंडे से केटरपिलर तक का सफर बराबर हो गया लेकिन अंत में क्रिसलस और तितली बनते हुए नहीं देखा शायद बगिचे में गिरगिट है वो खा जाते हैं आप कोई उपाय बताईये
छिपकली ओर चिडीया से बचानेके लिये मैने पतले कपडे से पेड को कव्हर किया था, आप मच्चर दाणी जैसे कपडे से भी कव्हर कर सकते हो

डाली को तोडीए मत, अगर छोटा प्लांट है और अगर पॉट मे है तो पुरा प्लांट घर मे पेपर बीछा के ऊस पर रख सकते हो

संजय जी पिछले कुछ दिनों से मैंने केटरपिलर को बचाने के लिए उन्हें एक बाल्टी में रखकर उसे जाली से ढक दिया और रोज नींबू के पत्ते डालते गया करीब 10 दिन के बाद क्रीसलस जाली पर दिखाई दीए और पिछले एक सप्ताह में 2 तितलियों को जन्म दे कर उन्हें उडा दिया अब यह रोज की दिनचर्या हो गई है

Very simple... just bring the lemon, sweet lemon or curry leaves plant at home, place it in your balcony or window... that's it. I am sure butterfly will come there. Try it... it will be great experience. 👍

My butterfly is not comming out of its cocoon its already transparent it's in the same condition for around 24 hours+
Sometimes, due to polluted air or environment... they die in the cocoon, same thing happened with my butterflies in this season. Three of eight butterflies died.
@@sanjayda very sad i opened the cocoon 3hrs back it did also make some effort coming out and its alive but not growing
Just like humans they also born with deformity. I felt bad when I saw them in that condition

I have one of this right now.. Im still waiting for it to emerge the pupa is transparent now😁
It will emerge within few hours. Sorry... Replying late, by this time it must be came out from the pupa.
@@sanjayda yes i set it free thos morning already but only one out of 2 emerge.. the other one is still on the pupa but its transparent.. i wonder if its alive or dead?
Some time it takes longer time than others, so wait and keep watching, it will come out.
