I just picked up the game, and I made it one day away from the end of the storm on extreme difficulty, and I was overthrown due to discontent. I was literally one day away from winning. I’m so pissed right now.
Just wanna let you know your video still helps ppl out xd just completed both survivor and Iron savior on hard using your strategy ^^ Thank you very much!
It's because its 170 people feeding them soup and, houses with insulators, and the coal consumption my God it's only the generator (my run was 4 heaters for the city,525 people too survived). This guy is so fking smart I'm impressed
I'm not sure i understand how deathless was/is even possible. Not sure if that was controllable before, but 2021, you can have 24 hour shift (workshop) started in the morning after a good rest of engineers and he dies at 10 a.m. from exhaustion. I think it's a game of chance, it's impossible to control deaths at higher difficulties, with final version of the game.
I can't make it to day 6 without a death from over work. You somehow leave extended shifts on constantly and nobody dies? How? I know the 2nd 24 hour shift will automatically cause a death but I'm losing people to 14 hours shifts.
I've gotten quite a few comments about the 24 hour shifts killing people but this is the first I've heard of the 14 hour ones killing people If you're failing to replicate the way I did it, then my only assumption is that the game has been patched further to the point where the strategy I used is no longer viable
@@djpunkIIDX yeah I've been watching a few videos and struggle to get past day 6. Best I did was day 20 but everything was lagging behind. Short on food, coal and wood. The -60 hits and it's game over. If I could manage to run the workers on 14 hour shifts I might be set to finish. Or I am just worried too much about deaths and should just give up on safe workplaces 🤣
Why did nobody die from overwork from your 24 hour shifts? I can't seem to replicate. Edit: nevermind I saw another reply. So this can never be done again because they changed the rules to make it impossible. Effing BS
sup. I did this in 2019 so I can only assume that if you're doing the same thing I'm doing but having different results, then it has since been patched. Here's what I said about it a while back: back when I did this, the first 24h shift was free and no one would die. Any 24h shifts after that would kill someone
@@djpunkIIDX Yes, thank you. I edited my original comment a minute or two after posting when I saw you had answered similar things in the past. thanks, bruh. Some russian kicked my ass though and beat it by like 2 minutes or something. I could probably beat it if I just neglect everything, let people die etc haha
it's been so long since I've played this game, but watching the video again, I was probably trying to mitigate the amount of sick people by running the generator a little bit through the night. If you don't do that, I'm guessing you'd get like double the sick people just from that first night of them sleeping on the ground lol
@@djpunkIIDX if you don't run the generator at all on the first night people start dying. I'm more curious as to why so few people are collecting coal at all in the first couple days. I'm assuming it may have been to prioritize other resources for fast development?
@@Josurr_Madhawk sup. like my last post here, I haven't played this in forever but my guess is that your guess is correct. You don't need to be stockpiling coal while it's still warm. Getting those techs and buildings up take priority
I think at the point I made this, if you had more than 1 building (piles outside are okay iirc) running a 24h shift, someone would die and I was trying to go deathless

Well played bro. I hope we see you in gdq 2020. They didn't stream any frostpunk speedrun and you done it well.

If there's a way to get a world record without child labor and deathless, I'd like to see it.
