The boat show e inimitabile e con il grande Maurizio Bulleri al timone ogni imbarcazione il fascino della navigazione diventa irresistibile, complimenti 🔝
What a difference with the Mediterranean sea. Nice boat that looks great when rides the waves at high speed. Great presentation and test. Give us more!
You need to determine what you like more about the V65 and how important they are in real life. Like long term live onboard, the V65 (and the whole V series) are just sad, look at the galley on this SS, complete, down from maindeck, with a dinette to enjoy your fresh baked pastry for breakfast, while on the V65 you sit there with some microwaved goo and think of how pathetic life has become. Imo Princess V-series is for ugly youngsters who dream of becoming popular by inviting the pretty girls in college to a wild yacht party so he can get laid for the first time.
Thats an advantage. For me its the arch-British name that destroys this brand, its too dumb, like “really, youre looking for the sun, its right there in the sky behind the clouds, you can stop seeking now”. Also it remind me of early 1980ies packet tour ads for Mallorca, lots of white ladies with british skin severly damaged from the sun, a billion tiny moles on the top of the chest, aaaand the dinner want to come up.
Virtual Yacht Broker (official Sunseeker broker) did a Dussdeldorf show of this model but with some seriously nice dark colours. If you like the Pred 60 Evo then you are doing yourself a disservice not to look it up.
Theres 3 individual adjustable backrests on the sunbed, close enough, after all the name implies sunseeking. Stupid name but well, the name stems from early 1980ies popular culture when people loved to talk about sunbathing and sunseeking and newspapers were full of such ads for packet tours. It seemed like a good name at the time.
Lovely boat, but to call yourself a sportboat with a maximum speed of 32-33 knots is kind of a strech. I remember the predator 55, cruising at 40 knots and topping out at 48. why don’t manufacturers work on arneson drives to make them more versatile? Or at least give the option of bigger engines? With ips1200 which should fit you could get decent performance & economy.
Ips are not made for speed : after 32/34 knots a boat with ips starts acting weird, the bow goes inside the sea and the boat goes where she wants and not where you want. Shaft is for a maximum of about 40 knots, with obviously a huge consumption. The only left is surface but....more maintenance, more headache, more noise and needs a hull made expressely for it. Plus if you find rough sea it is always a problem, since in general surface does not have many speeds : or you go fast (which is obviosly impossible in rough water unless you want to demolish the boat) or you go slow burning tons of gasoline, since surface does not like to go slow. The question is : who usually cruises with a 60 feet faster than 28 knots? These boats are for comfort, not for speed
@@nicoloszenberg2512 I was not aware about this IPS limitation, first time I am hearing it. Although I've seen some boats reaching close to 40knots in reviews. The previous Predator 60 also came with IPS1200 which probably maxed out at around 40knots as well. Also check out the Filipetti 55 review on this channel - similar (almost identical) boat to this and comes with both surface and IPS1200 (and also IPS950) Top speed doesn't interest me as much as a relative high cruising speed. I mean, sure, cruising around 28 - 30 knots is fine, but with the 60Evo this is too close to the top speed - more wear and tear? And the top speed is measured with an empty boat on ideal conditions. I guess people buy these boats more for the looks than performance, since you get the same speed as a flybridge of this size with half the accommodation. oh well, I guess I'll need a Pershing! :)
Avoid Pershing and everything made by Ferretti group. They make shitty boats(unfortunately I have a direct experience). Keep in mind few things : 1) ips have always issues over 33 knots but no one will ever tell, since each review is paid by the yard. Did you notice that for Bulleri all the boats tested are fantastic? 2) ips with propeller not super clean lose about 4/5 knots instead a shaft drive loses max 1/2 knots.3) ips is much more delicate than shaft and needs more maintenance. If you like a fast boat with 2 cabin and 2 bathrooms and very easy to manage (obviously with less space inside than a classic boat ) I suggest you Anvera. Anvera is a maxi rib made by LG yacht : full carbon full customized boat with a max speed of about 45 knots and a consumption at 40 knots around 4 liter per nautical mile. Can be made with surface top system or with 3 sterndrive 440 hp Volvo penta. I tried the boat long, she navigate in a fantastic way. If 2 cabin and 1 bathroom are enough for you they make also the 48. My father bought one. Top speed 44 with sterndrive mercury 370 hp each or 50 with top system and Cummins 550. 31 knots consumption around 2.6 liter per nautical mile in total. With top system 40 knots 3.5 liters
didinos no idea if you got my reply. Sunseeker 60 is apparently a very good boat ( I know personally who is behind Sunseeker and he does his job very well. I do not suggest you Pershing but you need to give me an email if you want to know why, because it looks like I get censored if I write my opinion on here. Quality wise Sunseeker is far better than Pershing. Surface drives in general are very efficient only if you go fast. If the sea is rough unless the boat is not built for racing either you go slow or you destroy the boat. And going in displacement mode with surface drives is an headache. Plus are very noisy and usually produce a lot of vibrations.Ips system is basically I big bluff supported by great marketing : 1) they say you burn less gasoline but this is because ips wants a much flatter deadrise at transom because ips needs lift at transom. With the same hull also shaft drive burns less. Plus as soon as propellers are dirty the consumption increases exponentially, much more than with shaft since propellers are much smaller.2) with ips you will have much more pitch than with a shaft. 3) boats with ips if not very large at transom tend to roll underway(ips needs to be mounted one far from the other to perform decently). 4) maneuvering is simple either with ips or with shaft: if you install bow and stern thrusters if you want you can have a joystick also with shaft, which in my opinion is a nonsense because using bow and stern thrusters together you can translate the boat exactly as with a joystick, with the advantage that there is no risk of electronic failure. The only real difference are . 1) the boat has low noise and vibrations (but the yard can obtain the same result with a proper engineering of the boat ) 2) it is easier for the yard to build the boat 3) in theory you can get more space inside. In theory because if you want the boat properly balanced you need to move the engines closer to the center of the boat and then you have the same space than with a v drive. But the best way for sea keeping remain pure shaft without v drive, with the engines in the center of the boat. Yes you have less space on board but much more sea keeping. If you are looking for a comfortable boat I think sunseeker 60 is the best option on the market. If you can accept a less roomy boat, there are some nice maxi ribs in carbon fiber that are faster with less consumptions.
@@nicoloszenberg2512 To be honest most of these boats are out of my price range. I am actually considering a used 2007 predator 55 with another 100% of the purchase price for maintenance and updates. Still a fraction of what this Predator or even a used 57 costs. I know/understand the drawbacks of a surface drive (although I didn't feel the vibrations you are talking about) and willing to accept the higher consumption in lower speeds - not planning to go slow unless I have to! I used to own a Marco 32 Rib (2X Verado 225'S) but in need of much more space. I always cruised at 35 knots with the rib and i would like to sustain that potential, bad enough I had to give up my sportscar for the kids. Regarding manoeuvrability I have already requested more information about installation possibility as well as a quote for an aftermarket joystick by XENTA. it's a safeguard for me moving to a bigger boat especially for challenging docking conditions. It's surprising to hear all the drawbacks of IPS - so many companies mostly offer this kind of propulsion and no one complains. I actually googled the speed bleeding when props are dirty and I found a lot of people complaining about that. this means this predator 60 would top @27 knots with much higher fuel burn. About the Ferretti group.. always considered them the best of the bunch, owning iconic shipyards like Pershing or Riva. It would be interesting to hear your story!

Il mare sicuramente non era mosso. Qualche ondina.
Very interesting analysis of this yacht's performance in moderate seas with either drive system.
Very Nice and Enjoyable. Been missing you, glad to see another video.

Here's an idea:
+The Boat Show must now do all the boat tests in the choppy waters off UK.
well.. what kind of captain papers do you need to have for driving this ?
A normal boat license in Italy, Spain. Germany, and Europe in general, if you are english nothing, since England does not require any boat license
Ricorda il Cranchi 60 HT
A .🇮🇹🇬🇧🇺🇸 🥂🍾 . Monica

Why Sunseeker built a boat of 60 feet in 2020 without a bow seating area is a total mystery
