The equip system is currently bugged. The only way to take the upgraded FIM-92K Stingers is to also equip the Hydra pods. You are unable to take the upgraded Stingers in the 16x option with double Stinger pods.

The "hydras" aren't actually the same hydras that are used for the helis. For some reason they have a different damage model and different amount of penetration. They feel more like weak HEAT and not like a rocket
I will never understand how firing one (or several) guns at 2000+ rpm doesn't constantly crash the game. Especially seeing how crash-prone WT is sometimes
The game starts skipping round calculations pretty quickly with any autocannon, especially noticeable if you fire single AP shots from gatlings at paper targets and get a "hit".
@@bighobo7745 It deletes shots that should kill or maim and this gets me killed. Source - I shot an ISU's tracks and it absorbed half a belt of 20mm APDS.
It doesnt calculate each shot individually. It basically sends a message to the server thats its firing, and then sends a message to the server that it stopped firing. Then the server calculate the trajectory of the shots at whichever refresh rate its running at, and then inserts the damage of how many rounds would hit it. It only needs to the armour pen calculation ever refresh rate, and then multiply the effect on how many rounds existed at that rate.
I feel like it would be like a rocket buggy and a gatling tank combined. That does sound pretty powerful, but not sure if it would quite as powerful as a humvee with 5 defenders

I really wanted to like the Combat Chinook (and the assault helix), but I swear units inside have less range, which really hurts. It also can't guard or attack move, which is annoying as hell Idk though, it's fun, esp when loading humvees in to up the capacity to 12 units for extra meme. I once put 11 heroic rangers and colonel Burton in, and it was a shredder of a minigun, even ripping up tanks in seconds.
i liked the overlord tank where you can throw in a bunch of anti tank infantry or just normal soldiers and most of everything cant kill it anymore or the crew

I feel like theres enough for Canada for a full tree, especially as there is already other nations like France, China or even Germany who use refitted and rearmed variants of US/British/Russian tanks and machinery.
my group of friends would 4 man LAV and then bum rush to the closest spots on maps to helicopter fields and air spawns needless to say because out team never got cas'd once we won everytime we did this

@@WTCheatShaming Option 1: The XM975 only has 10 Rolands, and isn’t expected to use them against ground targets. I don’t know if it even can use them against ground targets, because I haven’t ever used Rolands or even been at a battle rating where Rolands are present. I think most other SPAAs that get only Rolands are also given scouting. To give it some utility for when there aren’t aircraft present for it to shoot down, they gave it scouting so it can be at least somewhat helpful; a buff they also extend to some of the more useless ATGM carriers in the game that have really awful missiles and no secondary weapon. This is a problem that the LAV-AD *CLEARLY* does not have. Option 2: Gaijin is stupid and gives scouting to several vehicles that shouldn’t have it, like the M18 which they for some reason reclassified from a TD (which is what the M18 was in real life and used to be in game) to a light tank (which it isn’t) so it can get scouting, artillery, and a repair-assist buff, all three of which it didn’t need. Or the ASU-85, which I expect gets scouting just because the ASU-57 also gets scouting, with the excuse of, “Well they’re both meant to be airdroppable, so they should both get scouting.” The 234/4, the PakWagen, also got scouting for a brief time before Gaijin realized how dumb it was and took it away. Edit: Actually now that I think about it, the PakWagen may have been added before scouting was a thing in game, so I may be misremembering it slightly. I know for a fact that it had upgrades that shouldn’t have, because despite being a tank destroyer I remember clearly that it at least had artillery support. honestly i like the thing, people were nonstop hating on it right before it came out but ive had mostly nothing but succesful games out of using it, not just in dealing with aircraft but with ground targets (for the most part) aswell, its also one of the only other wheeled top tier american vehicles

I actually commanded one of these (in real life). That GAU was amazing. They don't exist anymore in the US Arsenal. The USMC had 16 of them. The only one left is on display in the Air Defense Museum in Ft. Bliss, TX.

ironically because the Stingers are lead-seeking in War Thunder, they'll hit front aspects more than any other aspect shot. Essentially, think of it like: the lead indicator you see in arcade, that's the point that the missiles home in towards. So they have greater energy and maneuverability to hit front aspects, while they can run out of energy on rear/side aspects
I’ve had better experience with rear aspects on faster jets, especially after strafe runs. People don’t usually expect IR SAMs right after gun runs. Although when they do see it coming I find it a bit more successful, the Stinger’s speed is less, relative to the target, vs a head-on shot. Thus, the missile is artificially slower, and therefore more maneuverable.

@@OMEGANOVA31 yeah they can be a bit hard to play, I either play pretty passively or just do my best to flank and take your time flanking. If you get yourself into a situation even a 1v1 without the surprise advantage you are already in a bad spot, the time it takes to get your gun on target is slower then almost every other nation. But if you can use your speed and auto loader to your advantage you can decimate enemy’s with a good flank, of course easier said then done and not always reliable. Just my two cents

That’s what the chassis was built for, not the variant. When the base variant of the LAV is added, *that* should get scouting, not the AA version.

ironically because the Stingers are lead-seeking in War Thunder, they'll hit front aspects more than any other aspect shot. Essentially, think of it like: the lead indicator you see in arcade, that's the point that the missiles home in towards. So they have greater energy and maneuverability to hit front aspects, while they can run out of energy on rear/side aspects
I’ve had better experience with rear aspects on faster jets, especially after strafe runs. People don’t usually expect IR SAMs right after gun runs. Although when they do see it coming I find it a bit more successful, the Stinger’s speed is less, relative to the target, vs a head-on shot. Thus, the missile is artificially slower, and therefore more maneuverable.

@@gdmjs Thanks, I keep being unlucky when playing aggressively (trying to flank) or passively (still get bombed or shot from the top by planes even hide in the bushes/trees without shooting while scouting). So, kinda need some expert guide :P
@@OMEGANOVA31 yeah they can be a bit hard to play, I either play pretty passively or just do my best to flank and take your time flanking. If you get yourself into a situation even a 1v1 without the surprise advantage you are already in a bad spot, the time it takes to get your gun on target is slower then almost every other nation. But if you can use your speed and auto loader to your advantage you can decimate enemy’s with a good flank, of course easier said then done and not always reliable. Just my two cents
