She started at the age of 7 in Las Vegas with her siblings and later began acting in Iconic television shows , Good Times, Different Strokes, and Fame. Her first movie Poetic Justice became a cultural gem with co- star Tupac Shakur , and she went on to do 3 Tyler Perry movies, one of which she wrote the song "Again" which was nominated for a Grammy. Janet is and always will be the Blueprint for past and present female artists who have verbally acknowledged that she inspired them.
I just can't take it. She's too beautiful. At 10:10 she is looking directly into the camera and into my eyes and I just had to pause it and take a few breaths. She's beyond gorgeous and those eyes....wow. I love Janet. Always have. She gave me a hug and kiss in 1983 when she came to my school in Oakland. She also gave me a 45 record of Come Give Your Love Tp Me. Ironically, she complimented my eyes when she saw me. I was about 8. She was 17.

This was the best interview I have seen in a long time with Janet. I just have to say I fell in love with Janet as Penny on Goodtimes. I watched that show because of her. It addressed things that I saw and experienced as I was growing up. I thought all of the Jackson's were perfect before they made any changes. I thought I was beautiful because she reminded me of myself. I became confused as they changed themselves to look less like me. I am sad that their Father influenced them to that extreme, but understand we are constantly bombarded with the wrong ideas about what beauty is. I love variety, color, and things that are different and unique. In that I see beauty. I will always be a fan of Janet, and I love her smile. Seeing her grow to love and accept herself as she is therapy for many women of color. Tammy is a gifted interviewer and I loved the natural energy between her and Janet. She has a busy schedule so she conducts some of her interviews in batches. Also, consider the month this interview takes place. She was prepping for her SOTW tour...so when she had to do interviews, which she did atleast 5 on this particular day, from what I see here on TH-cam - they had to be done on the same day. Not to mention, she lives in London full time, so while in the states, she has to properly manage her time.

Janet is so shy but humble and sweet. Her body language shows how uncomfortable she is when interviewed. However she knows it is necessary in the industry but she told it together. As a very private person she gives limited answers. She is real and not fake.

I'm a Janet Jackson fan for life but, she could hv kept that Beyonce question. Janet is a legendary machine over 4 decades and with such eccentric evolving style it would be very awkward recording with Beyonce. Janet career hasn't dwelled on features. You can count them on one hand. Missy is her go to girl. Janet isn't a person who name call or brag about material things. Also, Janet don't fit in a box. Mary J. & Beyonce did a duo & it sounded horrible. Beyonce tries to outsing or over shine other artist like Kelly & Michelle. I like Beyonce but, I would NOT want the 2 to collaborate. Janet is sexy cool & lay it down effortlessly & walk off very humble with love.You can tell the question was awkward for Janet but, she's so sweet she answered nicely.
