Buy a Ducati, it'll be fun, they said. Looking forward to the repair video.
Who did the last belt service? Ducati calls to check these bolts when performing belt service...
That was me, I checked them, they were fine. Now, I will check them more often. Also, when I replace them, new nuts and loctite.
Brother, glad you're finding this out for us 900cc Duc owners!
I love my 94 900CR, and she runs awesome, your videos helped but brother I dare not take her further than a days, out and back ride, takes me.
@@ELDESTBuilds I believe I saw that video, you really know your way around that 900!
I don't know if my back would hold out on that long of a ride. My 996 is even tougher to ride long term, all that weight on your arms and wrists, ugh.
But I'd never trade either of them!
Cheers
Thats not a freak accident! its normal wear and tear. That toothed belt pulley was worn out. all the sharp edges are gone, and the corners are rounded. Its PAST worn out from what I was taught/seen. - retired machinist/rider. Replace all tensioner, drive/driven pulleys, belt related bearings, and a BRAND NEW belt NOW. Dont go halfazz
Its not pretty at 10,000rpms as you leave a trail of broken cases and bits tinkling and chiming like lil bells down the road. Its the worst sound right before the rear wheel locks and you skid uncontrollably at warp speed on a locked/skidding rear wheel.
Excellent advice. Glad you and the bike are unharmed.
Thanks buddy, TBH I haven't even checked it yet. Been busy painting these truck parts.
