It was really refreshing seeing adults in class learning as well, I want to go to language school I’m 25 though and I feel like I’m to old now does anyone else feel that way
I'm 28 and currently back in school after becoming disabled. My school is only for adults and I'm honestly one of the younger ones there.
Never to late to learn something new and it doesn't matter if it's a language or something else.
I know this comment comes a bit late but I still wish you good luck on your journey.

I'm 32 and started using duo lingo to help me learn Japanese. I picked up some things here and there, so I don't believe you're ever "too old".
I’m 22, just picked up my German language study again after doing it from the ages 13-17! Hoping to do some paid courses and classes once the UK is safer. It’s never too late ❤️
I turn 36 soon and I'm looking into language schools to transition my current career (in the game industry) to working full time in Japan, or maybe even switching careers after becoming bilingual to the tourism industry, translation, or starting my own business there. If life has taught me anything it's that nothing is for certain, life is too short, and there's never a deadline for learning, growing, or pursuing new things in life. ;)

I am struggling so hard in second year Japanese at my University, since no one is doing these shape/color/sign cues and that’s my jam, that’s always how I learn and no one is doing it here :(, especially when it’s online its soooo hard to learn anything at all

You'll get used to it fast :) I went to another language school in tokyo and of course they spoke only japanese from day 1 but especially in the beginning the teachers use very illustrive ways to teach and so you somehow understand without translating it into your language. It's the greatest thing ever.

their help is free. Of course you have to pay school and accomodation. But GoGoNihon helps you with every bit of the process until you go to the language school for free, including application, visa and accomodation.

@@EsmeSalzman yes, actually people that have a non tourist visa can enter as soon as october, BUT there’s a restriction on how many people can enter japan per day, and that’s regulated by airlines

I’ve been signed up for their emails for YEARS. Since high school. Now I’ve graduated university and my husband and I want to move to Japan badly. Do you think they’d be able to help us move there with our cat and go to one of their schools? These are my life’s biggest questions!!!

Lol but majoring in a language at an american university or college is at _least_ double that. Go for it, babe, get your associates in sonography or echo and work like crazy for a year or two after and then go to college there or language school. Just know, you MUST have a bachelors degree in order to work and live in Japan (career wise). I recommend going to a 4 year college in japan if you plan to live there because you'll be opened to more career options, whereas if you intend to live in Japan and have only an education from the states, you'll be severely limited to likely just teaching or IT.
This is what I plan to do. :) I'm on my first year of echocardiography, when I graduate, I'm gonna work for two years to save up a ton, learn what I can of the language during that time, and then apply to a college in Japan for engineering, either computer or aerospace, which was my choice here in the states at first before the price tag of college made me choose community college for echo. It'll be around 12k a year- including dorms and any other fees that may show up. You can also apply for part time work as a student. :) if there is a will, there is always a way!
@@JEE946 you're so motivated and decided, i would like something alike mikan (going at a very young age and mostly studying japanese) but i don't think my parents would let me, since i also plan to go to university and it's not like it can be postponed or done there (medicine in japanese? and may not be a career valid in other countries? not a chance). But still I may go to japanese classes in any other country and may visit japan once.

Go! Go! Hanguk! helped me to find a suitable Korean language school and accommodation when I went to Korea. I only wanted to go for 3 months, I couldn't get my 3 months to match the university semester period, so I had particular school needs. Also, I wanted to get out of the capital city, so Go! Go! Hanguk helped me track down a suitable school. I didn't need help with transport or anything like that but I didn't want to stay at a hotel for 3 months. I chose to stay at a goshiwon and they found me a good one near the school. It was great, with tons of facilities, aircon, window with a sweet view and in the middle of tons of restaurants, small marts and near public transport. I'd definitely use them again, except that now I know enough Korean to set up everything for myself.
