Such an underrated show; wish it would get a reboot. At least it did well across the pond.

American television and music is so fickle. "Blockbusters" had a reboot in early 1987, but it should come back in the 2020s.
Ile be leaving game soon and changing and don't need this phone anymore, the more I reflect on my experiences I realised it must be me it's not like the whole world was against me, planets full of aliens? Mark and Jan were in my opinion one of the most memorable family pairs. Jan had sold her house remarried and moved out to Atascadero on a farm. They mentioned it on a show and it seemed like Mark hadn't been a fan of that decision.
I always wondered whatever happened to the two right after Blockbusters.

Being jumpy as the solo player is usually good tactics since the pair is often scared to shut out one another, but you're right she didn't quite strike the balance. I don't think she ignored Bill's friendly advice at 8:50 , it's just deceptively difficult to find the rhythm.
Doesn't seem fair, two against one
I love when people bring this up, because I thought so too as a kid. Actually, 175 matches were won by the solo player, and 175 matches were won by the pair - dead even. That's with 37 different solo players and 45 different pairs - probably because the quiz juggernauts opted to go it alone. Not sure about the UK stats.
You see the solo player gets the shorter path, but the pair is also hampered by the fear of pressing too soon and freezing out their partner.

I hate shiny hair because it always looks like it needs to be washed! I have very oily hair and I keep trying to get my hair to NOT be shiny at all.
