this guy was the hardest of the spyro 3 bosses for me :l also, he gets my vote for most intelligent game boss. not only does he use his gun well, he breaks the things that hurt him that he can't use. AND he takes your powerups.
Decided to come here and watch the video after reading a comment on Hwd405’s video regarding gold shell fragments on the dragon eggs in Spyro 3! When you watch the animation of the baby dragon at the end playing with the butterfly, you can see the butterfly get sucked back to the dragon as it warps away!
Just looking back how satisfying beating spike just to get to evening lake was trying not to get killed a lot of times from him, wtf did they do to spike in the trilogy :(
Let's be honest The Reignited model is shit I couldn't recognize it as Spike the very first time I saw him there Xd And also, yeah, this boss was (still is) a pain in the ass, but it's more satisfactory to defeat him because of that
Just played the Reignited version of this fight, I don't understand why they changed the background from this to what looked like the Beast Makers from Spyro 1.
That was the most ruthless aggressive boss in all of Spyro bosses , thanks for Spyro for putting a nice uplifting song from charmed ridge after all these aggression , we end up in romantic song of charmed ridge with a mercy
God, the bosses are a big hit-and-miss for me Buzz hasn't really changed much aside from the fact you get knocked back when you successfully charge him and he's a little less aggressive Bluto hasn't changed alot either aside from the fact that good god, they nerfed his sub's speed. Now it's incredibly easy to outrun it when it chases you Spike, on the other hand. Good god, they nerfed him to hell. He only shoots once then twice then three times (compared to the original 2 then 3 then 4), he's way less aggressive (he shoots slower and won't run up to Spyro and try smashing him), he'll barely try to destroy the rocks in the first phase and his new design is horrible compared to the OG design. Sleepyhead is still easy peasy. Scorch again hasn't changed much aside from his giant AOE electricity orbs being replaced by smaller, easier-to-avoid fireballs The Sorceress is IMO the only boss they did right for Spyro 3. She's way more aggressive than the original and a little smarter (if you try going for a vehicle, there's a chance that instead of running, she'll immediately cast a fireball once you get on it or near it)
Nah, both of y'all are trippin especially when it comes to Spikes design he looks exactly like he should look lol. I agree with the nerf thing but that's about it.
@@am_infinite I mean, one huge thing contributing to the easier Spike is the Health nerf (very stupid imo), less shots (because of said health nerf), and then the fact that the camera is not horrible. The first phase is really hard because of the camera, but then it's just cakewalk in the original.
@@LittleBigPlanetian I couldn't agree more with your comment! Some extras, tell me if you noticed them: Buzz takes longer (to decide) to charge at you on the Reignited, so when you mess up and miss on charging him, you won't get punished. On the original, when he stopped rolling after you, the fire would start up immediately, but on the Reignited you have to charge him first. This applies on Spike too! He would immediately start shooting when hit. (Seen on the video above). He doesn't have to go to the center to start shooting like on the Reignited. Spike has less health. From 9 to 6. Sleepyhead had an extra move on the original. He would throw 3 red magic orbs if you were far away from him. He doesn't do that on the Reignited, trust me, I tried. Twin Chinese Dragons also seemed easier to me. They wouldn't spit fireballs as much. Maybe I was lucky. Scorch. When he spits the egg that contains the fire creature, it would hatch in a second (or even less). It takes quite a while to hatch on the Reignited. Sorceress throws less electric orbs and she does so, rarely, compared to the original. They also spread less and you can charge away from them easier.
