Hello! I'm the original poster of this video. I need to address something: The idea that "being offended" is a sign of weakness or a lack of understanding is a false (but common) mindset. I agree that some people are very quick to get offended on behalf of others, even when they themselves don't know a lot about the context or even the issue they're getting offended over. That's the sort of offense that I don't mind causing. Hammond's Mexican comments, though, were far beyond the line of good taste. I'm certain that the three of them have never actually gotten to know someone who is Mexican, or had any real Mexican food (because most of it is effing delicious). Offense has its place, and I don't look down on anyone who is genuinely offended by something. I try to be a nice person and accommodate their emotional minefield (because we all have one). I want to make it clear that *it is okay to be genuinely offended*, especially when it's about something that causes one a lot of pain, fear, or anger. Do people "get offended too often these days?" Not necessarily. There are a lot of things that cause hurt, and some damn good reasons why they do. It's the people who seem to get a rush by being a part of someone else's supposed outrage that make me laugh and roll my eyes. We both seem to agree that seeing hosts relaxed, honest, and mostly unfiltered is a good thing. Cheers. :-)

For Americans who don't know first a sat nav (satellite navigation) is another word for gps but the portable ones people used mainly in the 2000s and the australia joke is based on the fact that Australia was founded as a country/land for the UK to send prisoners so the joke is that the australian guys came back to the UK the same way they left, as prisoners etc

The Mexican comment episode did get them into trouble. It was mostly Hammond. You have to remember for British people, they don't have a lot of interactions with Mexicans like say Americans do. Their stereotypes is based on old cartoons and tv shows. Whereas Americans see Mexicans as hard workers, the British don't have that knowledge. The inverse would be Indians, which the British know well and Americans less so.
Fun fact Clarkson is that unfiltered back in 2015 had his contract dis-continued after he punched a producer, he now presents the Grand Tour on Amazon with the other two.

They never fired Clarkson. His contract for another season of Top Gear wasn't renewed.
And firing clarkson has basically killed the BBC. They should have just taken some bad media in the short term and kept clarkson
