    I've never had the opportunity to use TSS equipment but it all looks really solid. I've got the plate loaded lat pulldown/low row from XMark - I really like it. It's definitely not as beefy as yours but for being one of the cheaper bolt-together designs, I think it's great and addresses the stability and leverage issues you mention.

      Yeah, I had the X mark before and it was great. It just wasn’t like you said as stable as something like to TSS one is. Thanks for watching.

    Wow, great video. Thank you. I am considering buying this - like you said, I too intend to use this primarily for low row and lat pull downs.However, I want to ask how this piece of equipment performs for any tricep pulldown and bicep curl/upwards pulling movement? Does the bench seat get in the way of the cables during these movements? If so, are the bench and foot rests removable to prevent this? I'm essentially trying to assess how versatile it can be - I really want to find a low row/pulldown machine that I can also perform accessory cable lifts on. Thank you! Hope you read.

    • @azuwhr
      @azuwhr  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Works great for triceps push downs or reverse push down. When I do bicep curls on it I’ll sit down and use the foot rest and do a seated bicep curl on the floor. The seat does remove just like the knee rest. So if you think it gets in the way you could always take it off if you want to stand up and do bicep curls. The piece is pretty solid so it shouldn’t move at all when you do that but honestly I would say I would do the bicep curls seated more so. You could also do side raises for shoulder exercises, standing lat pull downs or even single chest flies. The machine is very versatile. I hope that works out for you and helps. Thanks again for watching I appreciate the feedback

  • @Jordan-th8ps

    thanks for the review. I have never used a plate-loaded lat pulldown. Is there a different sensation when using it than weight-stack machines offer? I guess what I mean does it feel as smooth and equal distribution of weight throughout the movement. Thanks!

    • @azuwhr
      @azuwhr  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it’s gonna depend on which company you buy it from. I can tell you with this machine it’s just as smooth as any stack machine

  • @paulcasilio1119
    @paulcasilio1119 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    G3, great review, as always. May I ask do you ever try using the pull down for tricep work and the low for standing biceps? Is it even possible or does the seat just get in the way? Just trying to ascertain the versatility of this. I will be getting a rack shortly, as well as a pull down (side note, I have back problems, too, but the Rogue Rhino is a little out of my league. 😉). Thank you in advance for your response.

    • @azuwhr
      @azuwhr  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah tricep work is no problem at all. Two arm, one arm no issues at all. For biceps you can do them standing or seated. This machine doesn’t move when you use it. It’s small footprint is deceiving but it’s solid.

    • @azuwhr
      @azuwhr  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I forgot to mention if your going to do standing bicep curls you would probably take off the seat. I don’t do them I sit if I want to do curls.

    Do you find the origin point for this TSS low row set up being too low? In low row machines I've seen at commercial gyms, the origin point is maybe a foot higher than in this TSS set up - in a way that the arms are nearly horizontal when extended, rather than pointing down like in this set up.
    I'm wondering if the muscle recruitment would be different as a result? Have you noticed this?

    • @azuwhr

    • @azuwhr
      @azuwhr  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I looked at a lot of them but Rogue only has a pin loaded option and for a garage gym that wouldn’t work for me.
