    I think hard tire needs to be similar to true street or daily driver type class. 300+ tw, 275 width, ASAG except hood and bumper. Full factory frame with stock style suspension. Decent interior. Tagged, insured. Enough cooling system to drive anywhere and hotlap at the track. Must race on fuel available at any pump in the country.

    400+ treadwear, don't matter wheel size, 10.5" wide max.

    So oddly enough I just discovered what the hard tire class is. I must be living under a rock. I’m not asking for secrets or anything I’m just genuinely curious, does most guys that run the hard tire class def foxbodys use the same suspension stuff as if it was a small tire slick?

      I’d assume most run stock style suspension. With hard tire cars it seams just managing power is the real key to success.

    Nice video I’m gonna subscribe. I’ run out of Missouri and gonna give hard tire a shot . It’s gonna be a learning curb as I’ve never raced on hard tire before.

      It’s definitely a game for tuners. It’s hard and challenging but very rewarding in the end when you can make it work.

    I wouldn't worry about us slow guys on 17's. Only 1 fast car i know runs a wheel that big. I know im more of a daily but i dont mind pitching in the pot. But you are very correct about how fast some hardtire cars are 💯

      Like no prep Mania 7.0 at Magnolia we had 14 hard Tyre cars. Probably five of them we're actually streetcars there was a 1320 Challenger, and I believe a 2017 Camaro SS, my car oh, an old Pontiac on 18. Now the big event like war in the woods or uncage like Josh's planning I could see a 15 16 in wheel rule. But on regular races it's just thinning the pot for you guys. Just my opinion, definitely look up to you Brandon you are a hard Tire gangster

    If you really want to limit the class, or any low budget “street” class for that matter. Make the class a foot brake only class, and do not allow 2 steps for any purpose other than limiting the burnout rpm.

    • @KyNoPrep
      @KyNoPrep 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’d say 90% of the people wouldn’t go for that. But I do see a tire size and weight limit that needs to happen.

    • @georgeashmore9981

      @@KyNoPrep that is true, but to keep the class as intended, it may take shaking it up like that. To me it seems like some of the cars would be better suited to put on slicks and run true street. Tire limit will help, as would a weight limit, though weight limits will show the strength of some combos and the weakness of others. Then people would complain about being disadvantaged. Either which way, hard tire is flying these days. I never thought I’d see hard tires on no prep run that well

    I was going to hard tire but when I seen how fast those guys are getting i knew I couldn’t keep up. Once you get a build done to race the guys are ten times faster. I’m going to stick to the daily stuff myself. Or maybe some full size truck racing. I’m building a 92 obs swb . But by the time I’m able to do that the classes will change. So with all that being said. I don’t want no chasis cars in hard tire for sure. I’d like to see factory firewall glass windows no carbon or fiberglass and the car drive back and forth to the lanes in hard tire. Now daily I want factory interior all the same as hard tire and factory block that came in the vehicle all carpet factory seats in the front no slicks car must be able to drive to the track ac if equipped and power steering if equipped no front chasis or bk chasis half chasis factory firewall and frame from from front wheel to rear wheel along with fenders roof quarters bumpers real glass factory dash and doors . I’m prob missing something but that’s a start. Hard tire was your average 7-800 hp build a long time ago maybe use some of what a real daily class would be because hard tire to me is fast fast driveable cars back in the day. But now they are what a small tire car was 2 year ago.

    • @KyNoPrep
      @KyNoPrep ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well said, and your correct hard tire is currently about 2 years behind small tire. The full size truck class is a animal of its own and needs to be policed by the people who run in that class and no one els. I myself should have zero say in a class I don’t run if you know what I mean. I’d love to see a real tech on the classes and not just a check you’re good! Lol

    Don't care about tire size. This needs to stay street car. Stock suspension, true street style, car should be drivable, tagged and insured. That's the true spirit of the class imo.
