Mimir asks Kratos about Mortal Kombat? ( God of War Ragnarok )

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 11 พ.ย. 2022
- During the many hours of being on the boat rowing from place to place a few interesting conversations can come up between Mimir, Atreus, Freya & Kratos. In this particular video I found it interesting that Mimir asks Kratos about being in a tournament that sounds awfully like Mortal Kombat 9.

[ God of War Ragnarök is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 9, 2022, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It will be the ninth installment in the God of War series, the ninth chronologically, and the sequel to 2018's God of War. Loosely based on Norse mythology, the game will be set in ancient Scandinavia and feature series protagonist Kratos and his teenage son Atreus. Serving as the finale to the Norse era of the series, the game will cover Ragnarök, a series of events that bring about the end of days, and depicts the deaths of some of the Norse gods, which was foretold to happen in the previous game after Kratos killed the Æsir god Baldur. ]

"I would not speak of this" is code for "I am legally not allowed to talk about my special guest appearance in another franchise".

Well yes its been confirmed that the specific one Mimir asked is All Star but Kratos did said he's been to many contest, so Soul Caliber and Mortal Kombat and the others is also have been mentioned.
I like how Kratos and Pit, two characters based off the same mythology, are self aware of other worlds and being in a crossover game.
Now because of you I can't help imagine him either killing Palutena or doing her like Athena, Aphordiete, and Faye
If Kratos was in Smash and had his Canon power level, he'd decimate Ganondorf, Kazuya, Ridley, and Palutena.
The only one who could possibly beat him would be Sephiroth.
Or Kirby now that I think about it.

@@rapidcarnage7524 Kratos didnt "do" Athena but he sure as shit did *P E N E T R A T E* her

And also Kirby fights literally lovecraftian-like godly creatures. I think Kirby has to be one of the most powerful game characters of all time. No joke. This little pinky ball is exaggerated strong
Mimir is probably mostly describing PS All Stars than Mortal Kombat or even Soul Calibur. Kratos has been in 3 crossover fighting games since then and the one Mimir's dialouge aligns with the characters from that game.
Mimir: "beasts(Sly Cooper),scondrels(Sweet Tooth),princesses(Fat Princess),the undead(Sir Daniel Fortesque),automatons(Big Daddy/Raiden) and history's greatest musician(PaRappa the Rappa)!
also very well could mean mortal kombat. beasts (reptile, goro, baraka) scoundrels (johnny cage, kano) princesses (mileena, kitana) the undead (this ones a bit shaky, but scorpion has a skull for a face) automatons (sektor?) and history's greatest musician (rain, as he was heavily inspired by Prince. Which definitely fits "worlds greatest musician" better than PaRappa xd)
@@wontonschannel I don't know I would say Johnny Cage is a scoundrel and Rain being greatest musician is a stretch, the song was inspire by Prince but he's more of a greatest musician than Rain.

For those who don’t know he IS referring to PS All stars since MK doesn’t mention a “Worlds Greatest Musician But it’s understandable because the Mk crossover was so popular
Ok we know rain was supposed to be based on Prince in MK but 1.He doesn’t sing rap or make poetry 2.He doesn’t play any instruments 3. He’s just based off color and name not music
Nah it was a pun refering to sindell and her sonic sound powers

It's not, it's a reference to Playstation and All Star Battle Royale. All the references to the people he thought in the tournament match with characters from that game, whereas it does not for MK.

Gave him the shovel which Zeus (as gravekeeper) used to open a path to Kratos escape the Underworld in GoW 1.
Yall talking about which game this is referencing but I'm just in awe about how the devs decided to make those crossovers canonical and actually apart of kratos' story lmao
Totally flew over my head when they were talking about this. I was thinking of gladiator battles for some reason lol. I forgot kratos has been in a few crossovers.
Playing Mortal Kombat 9 was the first time I've ever heard of Kratos, and thought "He looks like Quan Chi", then later in life saw that he was cooler and more loyal than Quan Chi. Not to mention he was one of the perfect fighting characters to ever crossover on Mortal Kombat.
I was told this is not cannon but hearing now it is cannon
I would assume all crossovers with Kratos are partly Canon at this point (deaths don’t count). This is because his shovel knight boss cameo is considered canon, meaning Kratos got knocked TF out by a shovel.
