my build is similar but i focus on blood skills. hemorrhage basic attk, and the blood surge nova core skill, decripify, blood golem, cold mages. i found legendary boots that give me 2 extra skele mages so i got 5 cold mages to CC and keep my essence maxed and i use blood golem as well with bone storm as my ultimate. always pop bone storm on big elites. i might switch to blood lance just to see how it goes but the blood surge is doing really good. also wanna get tendrils in here somewhere, might have to get rid of bone storm, all the fortify from my blood skills keeps me pretty healthy i might not need the damage reduction from bone storms 1 min cooldown. the skeleton mages AI is super messed up right now though, all the time they just sit back and do nothing so u gotta back track and get them in the frame so they start attacking again. its extremely annoying cos they do a ton of dmg but they aren't even in frame attacking, literally sitting out of sight doing nothing.
I kind of took a weird twist with exploding corpse. I use bloodmist with a passive to explode them.. which apparently can be increased by also leveling exploding corpse, specially I use the miasma version without using the spell itself. Idk if that’s a bug or intended lol
Decrepify, Splinters, Bone Spear, both summons, corp explosion. If you get rid of anything get rid of the golem for 30% crit dam, which thus that slot could be used for Blood Surge for healing. People sleep on Decrepfiy but its synchs with several skills, esp corp explosion. EDIT: So i did a shadow buld that shits on my previous statement. Reap and Sever with minions, close damage 3/3 and most the shadow bonuses, iron maiden for heals with 3/3 curse for damage and shadowblight. Absolutely destructive. Esp Sever, which alrdy gets a damage bonus for minions, plus your 6% for deaths embrace and the 9% for Amplify Damage for Iron Maiden which is a free cast. Turn CE into a shadow ability and things really do melt
decrepify+bone spear+corpse exp, with 6 reaper warriors + 6 frost mages (with aspects), you got infinite essence and infinite corpses 😊 i dont like tendrils, its too slow, it has cd and after you cast it takes time to trigger
Currently 53 and on WT 3 with only my blood golem for a summon and im solo player, doing really well honestly. I use Reap, Sever, Golem, Decrepify, Iron Maiden & Corpse Explosion. So Curse and Shadow only. If you put the right points in places w decent gear, it holds up. Minions werent holding up for sht so i sacrificed them to get the shadow damage buff and the essence buff, whcih mixed with Memento Mori, it really is worth it. You dont meed Decrepfiy by any means but i find the the damage reduction useful. I use this build as an upclose fight, so i rush to the center, use golems move, then reap for corpses, both curses and alternate between CE and Sever for as much damage as i can get out. With the smaller mobs, this setup w keep you healed thanks to the free cast of Iron Maiden. Personally, i wouldn't go anywhere else but Shadow for the bone builds ibe tried didnt holdup like Shadow does. Thats my exp at least and I've reset my entire tree / build over 10 times. Testing w minions, w/o, bone, blood, etc. Without endgame gear, shadow does the best damage ive seen and used / tested so far. Plus, w/o minions, you can utilize every corpse for another move, like tendrils, or simply Corpse Explosion.
only annoying thing about the golem is mine has a bad habit of "going on cool down" for lack of better terms during big fights or moments where i need the damn thing
@@LuciferosDad meh. if i wanted to play sorcerer id play sorcerer. I feel like sacrificing them for 30% crit damage 15 %attack speed and 25 %life or whatever is mid. Im sure a whatever sacrifice combo makes for the technical best necro builds, yeah but i sure wont be using them
Your still using cold mages an your regular skeletons as distractions an meat shields, buff there heath by 3 each an they will balance your squad out better. Bone spears are awesome in crit no Golem gives you a +30% increase to your critical strike chance.
I'm 51 using a darkness corpse explosion and minion focused build with 13 minions atm and I shred but idk what to do with my paragon board or how to lean into minions more
I was gonna say, i have about 11 minions right now for level 40, it’s not worth it getting rid of all your companions, stat wise atleast. Plus, you can find Necro equipment that gives you extra minions.
After running with a minion build and not dying once, I decided to try this -- along with ALL of the comments from everyone else stating that Sacrifice Bone Spear builds are superior. Well, I got my ass handed to me over and over again with this set up. Granted my gear probably isn't very optimized for it, but I don't see that as the issue. There literally seems to be no way of gaining health back with these builds.
Im using The Blood Tanky Summoner and it destroys so well I never pop even a single potion even till late game its like playing pve on easy mode, Details below :) hemmorage till last tree for fortify Blood Nova maxed and also Fortify dmge tree harvestor 2/3 blood skill tree with increase to blood dmge and fortify skele mages and warriors maxed, Golem maxed, their seperate minion tree maxed close dmge and dmge reduction maxed Increase core skill essence cost and dmge maxed( wait till after cold mages for easy essence access) Army of the Dead for Ultimate w/ Maxed tree Minions passive at the end Used Reapers got a +2 for them massive dmge buffs on gear for them and their attck speed, put spec so they attacked vulnerable enemies faster, Used Iron golem for Vulnerable slam, Used cold mages for essence regen, got nice gear item that allowed blizzard to form every 10 secs was extremely helpful, Basically main strategy is to let your army run wild and to fight with numbers while you direct and keep them topped off HOWEVER alot of the major damage in this build comes from the blood nova, at first you build your fortify then if pressured or just planned you can bombard aoe novas that shred massive groups in just a few clicks and at the very bottom you'll have one slot left over too ( Ive used it to try everything from explosion to bone spear to mist) Had a blast with this build as compared to bone build where you have to stay more at range. With this build you're the Commander of that necro army able to frontline and do huge burst dmge
I'm using skeleton defenders, and then I have gone ALL IN on getting thorns as high as possible, which the skeleton defenders also benefit from. and it's absolutely amazing, enemies are dying all by them selves 🙂

I use super pets and massive crit/stun damage corpse explosion with howl from below- it hits for 500-700k right now. no need to user spenders on necro as far as i'm concerned

I mean. You have a ton of options for summoning dead stuff, not just a golem. This is just a nice sacrificial choice for people who don't want 8+ minions running all over them all the time. And the quest for the golem explains the reasoning behind it from a diablo necromancer lore perspective.

Im using a exploding corpse + minions build i came up with, its like a B tear in every aspect but im gonna try your build. PS: on my build use bone golem to taunt and corpse tendrils, decrepify on the enemies and explode every corpse in that area (i do have full skeletons and passive skills on them). If you are fighting a single target switch golem to iron for more stun
I do somewhat the same thing. I use Decrepify with the CD reduction. It makes tendrils/golem taunt/ultimate coming back really fast. Especially with the darkness version of Corpse explosion to proc the CD reduction.

Looking up nothing for my first run in currently full reaper darkness. Reaper minions, darkness corpse explode, darkness basic and core scythe abilities. Just sythes and darkness everywhere. Pretty fun and easy until some bosses and i run out of corpses lol
There’s multiple ways of creating corpses, your passives, your primary skill, your reaper skeletons, your golem, blood mist, then there’s a couple aspects that help create corpses. There should be no shortage of corpses for you to abuse😂

I’m not planning on using corpse explosion at all in my build, imma use tendrils instead🤷♂️ that’s the plan anyways, so I’ll wait until I can actually play.
people should try better build, full on bone, dont need corpses or minions other then the iron golem , at lvl55 if you pick your aspects and gear traits carefully you can deal 20k damage per 1 spear! and im not talking about the bone spirit that can do double of that
@@shinigami2682 also, it's cheap to respec a low level character, but a lot more expensive to respec a high level one. Then there's the issue of gear. My gear is tailored to my build. If i respec, I'll also have to re-gear. It just easier to make a 2nd character to mess around with.

Necro is the one class i didnt enjoy, didnt like any of the main attacks along with the special attacks, also the necro being super chaotic with all the minions as usual. Maybe just me…

Bone/curse necro was the best build with the original necro. Mass minion builds were worthless in hell.

You don’t, you use the corpse for “corpse explosion” because your not wasting them on minions anyway

start with cult of the weak 2nd paragon then i suggest the glyph for physical dmg from ur minions

cant u only imprint/use an aspect once? So as soon as u get a stronger piece of gear it's gone
you can take the aspect off the gear and put it on ur new one

Necromancer was way more fun in D3, in D4 it's meh.
I got super lucky in a dungeon and got a ring with the piercing aspect on it while still in the first area
